The hotel is very economically priced and wonderfully sited for a visit to Old Montreal. The furniture and decor in the room could only be described as battered but functional and clean-fine for a rest for the night but rather cramped if any time were to be spent in the room-breakfasts were $10 for a wide choice of fixed menus which were filling! Staff were very pleasant and helpful with any requests.Wifi only available in public areas.

Stayed only for a night. The rooms are cute. I liked the washrooms and cleanliness. If you don't have high expectations and looking for a clean, friendly place, this is the place where you get your bang for the buck. Also great location.

I think we got the smallest room in the hotel, the window curtains did not close all the way and people were living in apartments just beside the room. The room was also close to the air conditioning unit and it was very loud all evening. It was warm outside and the public area of the hotel, mainly the reception area was not air conditioned.

The hotel is in a great location. Easy to walk to the Old Port and dowtown. The metro is also very close. With good areas come expensive restaurants so the hotel is surrounded by amazing places to eat but you have to be ready to pay the price. The hotel does not have an elevator so you have to take your own bags to your room up the stairs. Rooms are TINY. There is no space for your suitcase. Bathrooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast is delicious and harty

The staff working during the breakfast shift were truly gracious. At one moment, the woman who divided her time between the reception desk and the restaurant grabbed her sweater and ran outside, down the sidewalk, to catch a guest who did not know the city and had left his map at his table.

When we arrived we were given a room that was full of someone else's stuff (clothes inside drawers and on the bed, luggage, tooth brushes, etc in the bathroom... We went back to the reception and asked for another room. We were told to wait for the cleaning lady who will remove the stuff from our room. We insisted to have another room, that was properly cleaned, and we were told by the receptionist that if we do not like it we could just leave as the room had been paid anyway... and she threathened to call the Police. We answered that we would love to see the Police as we paid for a non-existing room. It took us two hours of arguing in order to get another room. The room was extremely small and had the bathroom in the middle of it... The location of the hotel is great.
