Hotel across from Greyhound bus station. Not a god location. Hotel is very TIRED and needs updating BADLY. My bath had tiles missing from the shower. They told me there was parking, which meant I could place my car next to the JUNK behind the hotel, behind a chain link fence. The breakfast that is included was bad coffee and frozen white bread you could toast. I was supposed to stay 6 nights and moved after the first. A VERY SHABBY HOTEL and should cost 40$ a night, not 90!

The receptionist was completely incompetent and was not even aware of our booking. We booked a two double bed suite but they were unable to provide it when we arrived. Of the several options suggested to rectify the situation, these were the following outcomes: (1) Wouldn't give us a room with 2 beds as stated in our booking. (2) Would not provide 2 separate single bed suites as a compromise. (3) Would not provide us with a cot or mattress as a compromise. (4) Would not even provide enough blankets/towels to make a mattress-like cushion on the floor (it was apparent that a reasonable level of comfort was of no concern to her at this point). (5) To top it off, she was firm on charging us the 2 double bed price, even though we were only getting a 1 double bed. The receptionist basically said take it or get out and was exceptionally rude to us when addressing our concerns and frequently said that she could not reach her boss and her boss was the only one that could make any changes. We had no other options so we had no choice but to stay there. This was by far the worst experience I have had at any hotel or hostel ever (out of my 50+ experiences). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they are prepared to take the risk of not getting what you booked online.

What you see is what you get: it definitely deserves no more than 2 stars, but it's very centrally located (right across from the central bus terminal, convenient to historic downtown and "le village"), reasonably priced, and perfectly ok for a night or two. The room was surprisingly quiet: there was a big outdoor concert and street party going on nearby, but the noise didn't reach our room. The "continental breakfast" is no great shakes, and the space where you eat it is busy and noisy. The staff seem a little chaotic. And the phone number listed on Venere.com is incorrect. But as long as you don't expect beauty, luxury, or a decent breakfast, you should be fine.
