We stayed as a group of 3 girls for 3 nights in this hotel. It is very near the centre of Montpellier (2 mins walk from Place de la Comedie), which was very convenient. The facilities are basic (our shower wasn't fantastic and had fallen off the holder on the wall), but that is all we were looking for so it suited our purposes. The rooms (including beds and bathroom) were very clean, and a cleaner arrived each day to bring new towels and tidy the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. They looked after our bags when we arrived earlier than the 1pm check-in time so we could go out for lunch before checking in, booked us a taxi to the airport and gave us the code to the back entrance when they realised we were likely to stay out later than their 1am curfew, when they locked the front door! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a functional place to stay if you're in Montpellier to get out and about. It's not somewhere I'd choose to stay if I was looking for a cosy romantic nest with my partner, but is ideal for a clean, convenient and fairly cheap place to spend the night. We didn't opt for the breakfast as we were keen to explore the cafes in Montpellier, so I don't know what is on offer on that front.

A good basic hotel in the middle of Montpellier action. Good location unless you arrive with a car full of baggage! There are very limited options to set down in proximity without blocking access to something.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Lovely location right by the old town, and a couple of minutes walk from Comedie and the main train station and very close to transport connections for the whole city, and the beach. The one and only down side is the very busy road at the front of the hotel which is extremely noisy at any time day or night. Don't let this put you off as. If you're a light sleeper request a room at the back of the hotel. Next time I'm in Montpellier I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was quite old. The room smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke and the air circulation was pretty bad. They had obviously attempted to modernize the room, but it felt quite stuffy and the lay out of the room was very ad hoc. We got bitten that night, hopefully just by mosquitoes, but neither of us slept well. The staff was very nice, however, and the location was pretty good. Maybe the other rooms are better.

It was our second time in the hotel. is convinient for the location, clean, and the family room is wonderful (we travelled with children). the difference this time was that the breakfast was not included on the room price, but anyway for 6 € we had a croissant + bread and butter, orange juice and coffe or milk or cocoa!

In Montpellier for a week for a meeting. The hotel is right next to Place de la Comédie, which means it is very centrally located. The room was spacious, bright, had air conditioning, a small TV and (free) wifi. Must bring own shampoo, but didn't miss anything else. Friendly staff and an enjoyable stay. Would happily return.

This place was the best hotel I stayed at while in France. Not only was it very reasonably priced, but all the accommodations were excellent. Also, all of the hotel front desk staff spoke English--not just "okay, yes" but REAL English where you could actually have a conversation. This meant that all directions were very clear and made it much easier to communicate over the phone. They have an elevator and strong air conditioning (a premium in France). The one small drawback is that though the rooms do have the option of having a shower included, they don't seem to expect you to use it--this is apparently a cultural thing, as I experienced this in other parts of France. Be forewarned to bring your own shampoo and soap, and that you may need to ask for extra towels (which they are more than happy to provide). Hotel is also very secure--they start locking doors at 10pm, and though it is not in a bad part of town, you feel that your possessions are in good hands while you are out. The hotel is also conveniently located 4 blocks from Le Corum, 4 blocks from a major shopping mall, 2 blocks from Place de Comedie (think street shops and flea market), and just about 1 block from the train station. Being so close to all of this means that there is plenty of nightlife and you can walk around at 1am without fear of being mugged as streets are pretty populated. It is also far enough away from the nightlife you don't hear drunken Americans shouting in the streets. Breakfast was actually cheaper than advertised and as mentioned by another reviewer, the croissants are definitely something special. Also, hotel staff are willing to hold your luggage for free the day you check out, so you can spend that day doing other things without worrying about your luggage until you are ready to leave Montpellier. Everything was very clean, orderly, and smoke-free (also a premium in France).

The location is excellent. One block from central Montpellier (Place de la Comédie) and many restaurants. Our room had a street view and we were awaken a couple of times by the noise on our street. Overall, a good hotel, not for a long stay.

Public areas could do with refreshing of the decoration but I had a very nice, clean room with ensuite loo and separate shower. Shower not attached to wall but not really a problem for a 2 week stay. Desk staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel closes at 1am, which might not suit everyone but for me meant not being woken up at 3am by noisy, returning revellers, so ideal for those wanting a good nights sleep, if on business or, in my case, attending a language course. Also, five minutes walk from railway, bus and central Montpellier.

I was travelling alone with my 12 and 14 years old kids. The hotel was a bit hard to find but well placed. I recommend parking in the public parking across the hotel instead of their private parking (which is small, far and didn't look safe to me). Our two days stay was great. Their croissants were the greatest we had during our 3 weeks stay in France but there were no fruits. The staff was pleasant and gave us some direction to the beach. Our room was newly renovated with taste, the TV was small but had a few channels, the air conditioned was welcomed and so was the automatic curtains which rendered the room pitch dark for a good night sleep. The shower however was not draining too well (no bath). This was a great place for a 2 stars hotel, the room was big.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. The location is very convenient. It takes only 3 minuts on foot to go to Place Comedie. SNCF train station, historical area and downtown in Montpellier can walk easily. Beside I could go to Mediterranean beach in 1 hour or less by tram and bus. Hotel accommodation is fare and reasonable price for long stay. I met the several kinds of guests who came here for business, family vacation, and traveling alone. They looks like pleasant and quiet. All of hotel staffs are kind and mild, and gave me useful advice in this neighborhood. Thank you for their associating with my bad French.

Nice place, rooms and people OK, very familiar and neat. Close to the center and transports. Only bug: I ask for the breakfast and initialy they tell me ther is not inluded. At the time to leave (2 days after) they said me that sorry, that of course it was in the price. The language, may be. But I lost it.

What a gem of a hotel. 2 mins from Place de la Comedie so excellent location. Although located on a main road the rooms are situated at the back of the hotel and are very quiet. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned everyday to a very high standard. The service was incredibly friendly. My only complaint there wasn't enough wardrobe space for three girls in a triple room :) For the price you cannot go wrong!!!!

A good hotel if you're on a budget. The location is fantastic. Room itself was clean and well presented. The bathroom - particularly the shower was not particularly clean and the shower was only handheld not mounted on the wall. Hotel prices are cheaper if you book directly through hotel. Although, breakfast would not be included. We enjoyed the simplicity of the hotel. Many of the staff spoke English which was useful. Internet access was fantastic. All in all a positive experience.

Me and two other friends returned to Montpellier to reminisce about our old student days. This hotel was perfect as it offered a three bed room (hard to find) at a good price and was in an ideal location - just a few steps from la Place de la Comédie. Our room was on the back of the hotel and so was very quiet and was spotless every day after it had been cleaned. The breakfast included was great and the staff were very friendly. Would defintely stay here again!

For a cheap and cheerful stay this hotel was great. The only point on the cleaness of the room was the fact of seal round the bath could do with replacing - but everthing else in the room and bathroom was really clean. I would recommend this hotel if you are not looking for a plush place to stay - basic, friendly, central, after all it was only a place to put our head down after a great night out on the town with my 2 daughters - triple round so a right girly weekend.
