Hotel D'Aragon - Montpellier

Despite a cool reception by the attendant the evening we arrived, the second person working at the reception the next morning was very nice and helpful. Be prepared for a noisy room (even with the windows fully shut) because of the location of the hotel, close to the Place de La Commedie where a lively party atmosphere is to be found. The one very convenient thing about this hotel was the use of the computer in the room - you did not need a laptop here. The room was adequately furnished, and the breakfast was good enough. There was some fruit available to counterbalance the less than nutritious propensity for Continental breakfasts to be heavy on the breads and sweets. The one very inconvenient thing is the parking. It was something of a nightmare because of the horrible configuration of the streets around the hotel to find and escape from the nearest parking lot to the hotel. Get a map and very, very clear directions before you attempt to park near this hotel. I'm sure you could do a lot worse, and this place is certainly adequate as long as you bring your ear plugs. It is clean and convenient.

A gem of a hotel. My wife and I (a mature couple) stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the peace, the cleanliness, the proximity to the historic town centre, the wining and dining, the entertainment. Check out the buskers in the plaza during the evenings. Thoroughly recommend the hotel and the city.

Beautiful boutique hotel close to la Place de la Comedie.

Small, quiet, 'boutique'type hotel that was excellent in every way. Highly recommended.

Other than some strict rules about check-in, food, noise, etc., which I thought were a bit excessive, it was a nice place. And it was very close to a central area to find restaurants and night life. We only stayed one short night (in late, out very early), but it was a cozy place. We probably would've found the rules a bit more restrictive had we stayed longer, but it does seem like it would make for a nice, quiet stay.

Hôtel très bien situé; accueil agréable.

Smoke Free hotel. Easy walk from train station. Very close to "Place de la Comedie", yet quiet at the hotel. "Crepes de le Comedie" is a couple of blocks away and is non-smoking inside. Close to shopping mall with non-smoking cafes, and restaurant (Flunch). Self service laundramat is a few blocks away.
