Great location and Cinque Terre and Monterosso are phenomenal. Front Desk staff is friendly and helpful. Stairs can be a beast if you have heavy luggage. Breakfast was great - the guy they have serving it can be a bit tempermental.

We booked this hotel because there were no others available. That said, it was clean. If you are stuck finding a room, you'll be ok here, although far from living in luxury. There is no lift and no one to help with luggage. Our view was awful - tv antennas and other people's apartments. Our bedroom loft was reached via a tiny, narrow, spiral staircase from our living area. But there was air conditioning, and we heard no noise, although others we met complained of it. Our main issue was that the hotel smells - there are odd air fresheners that pouf a scent into rooms and hallways every few minutes - which is necessary. We closed our bathroom door the second night and - no odor. Smell appears to be coming up through bathroom drains. The location is very central, which is great. And there was a fridge (with the room safe inside it - another oddity). The breakfast was very good - on the roof, with a decent view - and an abundance of food available. There are other, nicer places in Monterosso al Mare - if they have availability. For the price we paid (E 180/night), we overpaid for what we got.

This B&B was expensive! We ran out of hot water everyday, and there is NO elevator -- you have to haul your bags up several flights of stairs. But on the other hand, the location was superb, and the breakfast (food and setting) was quite nice!

No elevator but we worked off the pasta and cheese by climbing the stairs! Noise comes from people entering their rooms-noise from street and town non existant when windows closed. Air conditioning worked well. Room 47 is spacious with a wonderful balcony for 2. If you are over 6 feet tall bed in this room will be short for you. Low service rating is because we never got toilet paper when room was cleaned and had to go ask for new roll twice.

The hotel was good however there was no elevated and we had to carry luggage 3 flights. Breakfast was delightfull, served on a rooftop restaurant.

Room size and bath were adequate, shower was small (all clean). Room on 3rd floor, no lift. We knew all this going in. Price was on the higher side. Roof terrace breakfast included buffet and omelet or bacon & eggs. Bell tower (Hotel picture) rings at night sometimes at odd times. Closed windows and AC solved this. Staff and reception friendly and helpful (English limited). Stay met our expectations.

The pictures in the promo were nothing like what we found. The entry way was extremely shabby and not very welcoming. Our room was extremely dark and the bathroom was too small. the worst of it was that the bedroom was in a loft with a very narrow winding staircase that made going up and down very treacherous, especially at night. The positives were an excellent breakfast and a nice terrace for relaxing. Also the location is good but the directions to get there were very confusing.
