Hotel Borgo Antico - Lucignano d'Arbia, Monteroni d'Arbia

This family owned Hotel is extremely warm, quaint, and the staff will go out of their way to assist you. Their restaraunt is absolutely delicious, and well priced. No need to dine anywhere else.Dinning outdoors on the terazzo has a beautiful view of Sienna, and inside makes you feel like you're in medieval times. Bicycles on the premises were great to take a tour of the small town. This was my second visit, I stayed here the previous year and will continue coming to the Borgo in years to come.

A very nice hotel to stop over for a night when in Toscany. The location of the restaurant in the old hall is great and the food very good.

Tout simplement parfait, seul petit reproche la salle de bain bien que fonctionnelle un peu trop petite et la connexion wifi de l'hôtel qui ne fonctionnait pas correctement. Ceci mis à part, superbes prestations et un accueil chaleureux. On reviendra.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 night in June, 2009. The hotel is located outside the town of Monteroni d'Arbia and, as such, the rooms looked out to the Tuscan countryside. Beautiful views! Also, the hotel's restaurant offered a beautiful view of the countryside. The room was clean and comfortable and, the room rate was reasonable. The location of the hotel is convenient for travelers with cars and, it was only a short drive to the major tourist attractions of the region (i.e. Siena, Montalcino, and Montepulciano). The owner of the hotel was pleasant and did his best to provide great service. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel's restaurant has an extensive menu (and wine list) and the chef prepared wonderful meals for us every night. We would definitely stay in this hotel again and, we would most definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Accueil en français (rare !), chambre et SDB très propres, petit-déjeuner moyen, terrasse difficilement accessible, route juste devant mais heureusement peu fréquentée. Jolie vue sur la campagne. Assez cher tout de même comparé à la situation, l'environnement et les services et par rapport à d'autres hébergements.

We chose Borgo Antico as it is close to the city of Siena as well as the wine producing areas. It is a very nicely decorated hotel with an excellent restaurant. We however have a number of complaints. Borgo Antico consists of two or three separate buildings. The older building, being the one with the views and the nicer rooms is at the front of the complex. We unfortunately got a room at the second building which although was recently constructed, the rooms had absolutely no view at all, meaning a brick wall 1 meter from the window, were situated two floors up without a lift, and had walls a bit thicker than paper. On our request to be transferred to a better room we were told that the hotel was fully booked. On a better note, we had a perfect 6 course New Year's Dinner and Celebration at the hotel restaurant, the lady Chef was perfect. I would return to Borgo Antico but only if I had a better room with a view.
