This hotel was a real disappointment. The location was nowhere near where we were led to be believe it was-it was in fact at least a 10-15min drive to Montepulciano. We had to request a room change as the stench emitted from the bathroom was simply overwhelming. The staff(a lady) was very helpful in this regard-and was terribly apologetic and embarassed with the situation. My concern however,is that in re-reading some user reviews-this problem(with the smell coming from the drains) was commented on a few years ago.Maybe something should have been done to resolve the issue then??? I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Terrazo floors throughout and noise was loud from others walking about in the hotel - especially when others arrived back late at night after we had retired

I arrived a day early, with no problem. Hotel was out of town. I expected to be in town able to walk around Montepulciano, not in S Albion some distance from taht town even. No one spoke English so some difficulties with finding restaraunt.

Very friendly and sweet owners of hotel. Clean and basic. I would recommend it to people that want to use the hotel as a base to travel around the area and return in the evening for a nice sleep. It is very close to Montepulciano but not actually in the old city of Montepulciano. But then again the prices to stay in Montepulciano are much higher. There are some very nice restaurants close to hotel with typical tuscany delicatessens.

This hotel is located right beside the main road making rooms on this side of the building very noisy. The surrounding area is a gravel drive which has no visual appeal. The toilet in our room was literally right under the shower and the bathroom in general was poor. The room is very dated. The bed was very uncomfortable and in general we were upset when we arrived and left a day early. There are plenty of lovely hotels much nearer to Montepulciano and many nice places around if you don't want to stay in the town.

Good starting point to visit south of Toscana . Room is spacious but the hotel is too close to the main road ( noise ) . There is a good restaurant in front of the hotel . The employees are very friendly .
