The Hotel Granducato in Montepulciano is located just of the A-1 Motorway (Florence-Rome) so it is in easy access for stopping between those cities for a night or two.
The hotel with its 54 rooms, is 200 meters from the historical center of the town, and offers every kind of relaxation and comforts to its guests. Every room has a bathroom, direct dial telephone, safe, mini-bar, color television with satellite cable.
Together with the famous historical-artistic value of thetown, the numerous vineyards, and the gentle Tuscan hills, this hotel provides for a very enjoyable holiday.
It is highly advised to book your hotel reservations at least 2 months in advance for the high seasons, which typically includes April, May, June, September, October, Christmas through New Year's and Easter.
Because our properties are so affordable, and average only 20 rooms each, they tend to become fully booked quite far in advance. So do not be disappointed, and get your first choice by booking in advance! Thank you.

hotel was clean and in a great location near the bus stop. there was a curfew (that we were not informed of), so we got locked out of the hotel late at night. some of the staff was very friendly and others were not at all

I travel with my friend(24.5.-25.5.09). We visit Montepulciano to see the filmset "New Moon"(Twilight)!!! We had a great time there :-)

Were shocked to find the minute shower was clogged and we almost flooded the tiny bathroom. The reception staff was not overly welcoming. When we asked for a restaurant, we were highly encouraged to patronize the most expensive ones.

The staff were rude and uncooperative. The room was adequate but the shower stopped up, the shade not workable and the front desk personnel completely not helpful. I would NOT stay there again. If a refund was possible, I would ask for one.

Nice manager, professional service, good breadfast. But the reception staff (especially the night staff) is not so welcoming. And we only get a double room at the bottom of the hotel, 10 meters lower than the road passes beside, though the upper 2 layers were empty the day we arrived!

Good location, 2 minutes walk to the old town. The breakfast was not good. The staff left our passports at an unmanned reception desk... but they did not diappear.
