We stayed in a room with the HIGHEST ceilings I have ever seen, in a hotel room! It was a great experience, and Elisa was very helpful! I also enjoyed my conversations with her brother! What a lovely town! Take time to sit by the fireplace, and relax with some wine--you can buy your own bottle in town, and not spend too much!

Great hotel tastefully renovated and furnished with very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Rooms at the front are above a couple of cafe/bars where people chat till late evening at weekends so if you like quiet, rooms at the back might be better. Also only a few rooms have air conditioning so when it's 35+ it's probably worth asking for one. The descriptions to get there are a bit misleading especially if you are coming from the north. There seem to be two similar entrances with an archway and signs to the centro historico and if you get the wrong one you finish up fuming at an angle on a tiny winding street in the wrong part of town. It's made more complicated by the one way system. If you are coming from Cortona/Arezzo you need to drive right under the entire length of the town and then take a sharp right and follow the signs. The hotel is at the top end of town and great for views but when you've gone down don't forget you've got to walk back up!

I thought this was a Great Hotel, We went to tour the New Moon Set in Montepuciano, We stayed in this hotel because of the cast of New Moon! The rooms were great! (showers small, but ok) Super helpful staff of hotel, they drove and found us because we were lost, and guided us to the hotel. Great reccomendations for dinner, and wine afterwards. :) Cute little hotel for a cute little town!

We enjoyed very much our stay in this quality family run hotel located in the heart of Montepulciano. We arrived by car after successfully negotiating the steep and curvy streets to the very top of the city and were able to use one of the hotel's reserved private parking spaces a short walk from the hotel. The hotel staff were very welcoming and we were checked in to our room without delay. The room was smaller than we expected and when we expressed our disappointmen, they told us that they were sorry but they were fully booked. However, they said that some guests would be checking out the next morning and that they would move us to a more spacious room in the morning, which they did. The hotel is a very old stone building which has been modernized and we particularly loved the spacious breakfast area, and the sitting room with fireplace. The breakfast was really excellent each morning with a nice buffet and great cappucinos. The hotel staff were very helpful in providing excellent tourist advice. On the morning that we left, we departed before the breakfast start time, but the staff gave us a takeaway assortment of selected breakfast items which was very nice of them. My wife and I would happily stay at this hotel again if we ever return to Montepulciano.

The location is wonderful; when you go out the gate, you are already in the historical center! It was really nice and impressible! The hotel staffs are really nice, friendly, very helpful, and polite. The room provided was kept clean during my stay, but the bath room is bit smaller in comparison with other Italian hotels. If you are going to stay at this hotel in winter season, I recommend you to have a warm pajama. The room has only one small oil-heating, and obviously the heating was turned-off during mid-night. In addition, there is no heating in the bathroom(!) The corridor is well decorated, but reflects sounds efficiently. You can imagine what's happening in the corridor without opening the door. If the other guest speak, run... you'll hear all of them. But it's not continue forever. In conclusion, the hotel location and staffs are superb. Even though the noise disturbed me and the bathroom was really cold, I'll definitely back to this hotel when I travel Toscana again in summer season!

Amazing and charming hotel, definetely a best in town of Montepulciano, staff are helpfull and nice. Baby bed was in the room, and everything was made to help us during our stay. The hotel is really nice. A very big award for the breakfast, the best we ever had in Italy. A large choice of food was provided, very fresh and good. We recommend 200% this amazing place for really the best quality for small money. This is the place to go in Montepulciano.

The front desk staff could not have been nicer, and as my husband had broken his foot early int he trip they were very interested in helping, as well as allowing us to cut our stay short as it is impossible to get around the city on crutches.

Hotel Duomo is located in a great location just off of the main piazza and they have free parking within the city walls. You are also allowed to park outside the hotel while you drop off your bags. Having the car so close is very convenient, but as with any walled city, driving within the walls can be a challenge. Get a small car! Montepulciano is a very..um..vertical city and Hotel Duomo is at the top of it. The rooms were clean and roomy for European standards. The bathrooms were tight and ours had a strange smell to it. But I would stay there again. The breakfast was good with espresso drinks, juice, milk, pastries, boiled eggs, bread, and fruit. So this is more than the typical Italian breakfast. The staff was helpful in suggesting restaurants and offered a laptop for internet usage. Overall I thought it was a good value and would consider staying there again.

Lovely hotel and great location. We were recommended to eat at a great restaurant, Osteria Acquacheta, round the corner and down the hill (!) from the hotel. Breakfast was abundant. The only negative point is that the bathroom and shower was very small, but perfectly adequate.
