It is really hard to communicate with the staff without speaking Italian language. Nevertheless they are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and really value for money. It is a bit hard to find the place without a map or GPS... Montegrotto is a nice village, worths to stay more than one night. Unfortunatelly we arrived too late to use the hotel facilities.

A health spa and definitely not for a family. Children are out of place here and not very welcome. Expensive for what you get. Pool costs 20Euro per person.

Only one bad thing is that they cannot accept payment with credit card to amount less than 100 Euro.

Zentrum

Great place - great views - GREAT WATER!!! The spa services are above 5 stars. I cannot say enough positive things about Alissa and her staff. Every service ran LOOOONg - massage, frango (mud wrap - with thermal bath and another massage) and pedicure (65 minutes). The waiters and management where also 5 star. There was a little bit of communication issues with the front desk. I cannot say that some of the ladies behind the desk were very helpful. But Sergio the manager is a hoot and a half - especially on Medieval night. All the waiters dress up in "costumes" and will dance the night away if you are willing. The pitfalls. No pop machine or ice machine to be found. The bar is expensive to buy bottled water through. There is a charge for the robe and pool towels. It seemed like a lot until I added 7 days to my stay. The other main problem is that lunch and dinner are "price fixe" - at 23 euros. I cannot eat that much food. They act like it is impossible to get only a salad. They don't have a shuttle bus, and if you arrive late by train, be careful and only pay 5 euros for the taxi - I got robbed and paid 10 the first night. There is a 1/2 mile or so walk into town (downhill). the bus comes once an hour for a one euro ticket (which) they sell at the front desk (get 2). Train into Venice is 15 after the hour, and costs 3 euros each way for second class and takes about 45 to 60 minutes. Padau (Pa-dough-va) is 15 min away - Lots to see there too.

The hotel was due a refurbishment, but luckily I think it's about to have one this summer! Otherwise, friendly staff - but no English language menus/leaflets readily available - caters mainly for German and Italian.
