I really enjoyed my 8 nights at the Cioci. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I had excellent value for money. I stayed half board: the dinners were good and the price of wine (e.g. half litre house red for 2.5 euro) and other drinks very reasonable. Montecatini is an ideal base for exploring everywhere from Pisa to Florence; for the coast at Viareggio; as well as being an attractive spa town with a clean, large (50 metre) open air swimming pool. I will certainly come to both the town and this hotel again. My only slight criticism of the hotel was the smell of stale tobacco smoke in my room. However the only noise that disturbed me at all was birdsong!
