Hotel La Caletta - Porto Santo Stefano, Monte Argentario

Stayed 3 nights. Needs more variety in breakfast, like fresh fruit. Too many sweets offered. Restaurant did not open for dinner.

This is a very nice, low key hotel that is perfectly situated for exploring Porto San Stefano and the rest of Monte Argentario by car. It was nice to be able to walk into town for a meal, a stroll, or a change of scene. All rooms have sea views. The only think that would make it better would be if they had balconies too. The staff was extremely accommodating. The beach was lovely. My only complaint is that there were limited places to relax in the hotel, other than your room, in bad weather. I'd definitely go back.

We addressed Porto Santo Stefano as part of a Cabrio tour from Switzerland to Lazio and back. We passed 4 nights in La Caletta an enjoyed the special place directly at the boarder of the see. At this early time of the season, only few tourists were around and the stay was very relaxing. Porto Santo Stefano invites for walking, dicovering history and nature and especially diving for enthusiasts. Great place.

La Caletta hotel is very nice for couple and for divers; it has a nice diving center a very special sea view; the price is ok, the staff is really nice.

La Caletta has a great location on a jewel of an island. The hotel is far from fancy, but is clean, serviceable, has a very helpful staff.

The hotel is beautifully located. The room was exactly as advertised and was very clean. Beautiful bathroom. The staff were a little aloof but that could have been a language problem.

We stayed in Porto St. Stefano for 3 nights and were absolutely satisfied with what we got. The looks of the hotel are nothing special but it has all you need: a quiet location, rooms with a wonderful view and comforting sound of the sea, good room service, beach towels, big and good restaurant, sufficient breakfast, private beach, etc. To tell the truth, I didn't expect such a good hotel having read the information on the site and seen the fotos. So I think they should work at their Internet image, as in reality they are much better. Besides, the town itself is extremely picturesque and lively. If you don't like the idea of eating in the hotel's restaurant, you can find plenty of them in the vicinity, though not at a low price. So, it's a wonderful place to stay for a sea holiday.

Fantastic location right on the beach. The hotel restaurant is not to be recommended-slow, sleepy service and medicocre food. But there are plenty of restaurants araound, so who care? Overall, the hotel is great!

The hotel has an excellent position with the sea right outside the window. The rooms are fairly basic but clean. The restaurant was reasonable.
