Hotel UNA Palazzo Mannaioni - Montaione

UNA Palazzo Mannaioni is the perfect spot for a vacation in Tuscany with both the tourist-traps and all the beautiful places in tuscany within a couple of hours driving. Montaione is a beautiful quiet village and the hotel restaurant has great food and I'Ciampi the best pizza.

Hotel was a great little place to use as a stopover in Chianti. Close to San Gimingnano, Sienna. Town itself nothing great, but beautiful little pool and grounds. Greeting staff was great for us - got us an extra crib for our daughter, couldn't have been nicer. The restaurant was not at all worth the money, and they had one waiter on - as someone else said, it was catering service at restaurant prices. DEFINITELY go elsewhere for dinner. Breakfast was very good though.

Overall, we liked it very much. However, the entrance to the garage was not immediately obvious and once located (requiring a trip to the desk) all the places were marked as reserved. The desk staff seemed vaguely unfriendly and not overly helpful. The room had a view of the neighboring wall, about six feet away. The restaurant is pretty with it's brick-vaulted ceiling, but on arrival night, a Sunday, there were a number of guests but only two workers, one of whom was the bartender. The food was good, but the service was terrible. We ended up with the various guests serving each other . We returned the next evening, dreading the experience, but discovered a complete turn-around. The restaurant manager had come in from Rome and a new face (Olga) was serving. We gave both of them high marks for competence and caring. Monteione was just the kind of quiet town we were looking for and the hotel was a match. We would come back

The Room was pleasant, and the staff helpful. The restaurant was closed, but the staff provided a recommendation to an excellent restaurant nearby.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel this summer so much that we intend to come back in the autumn

Lovely hotel in a quiet location. The only problem was that the much vaunted restaurant has closed and as this was one of the reasons for going there it was a bit disappointing.

We had a lovely stay at the Palazzo Mannaioni. The location to touring to San Gimignano and the Chianti region was very convenient. The hotel staff was friendly. We particularly enjoyed their recommendation to dine at the Carpe Diem. The decor of our room overlooking a small courtyard was charming. The courtyard was, however, a local gathering spot on the weekend, so a bit noisy. We highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Tuscany. The breakfast room was inviting and presented a variety of appealing breakfast choices. Free street parking was available in designated areas.

Enjoyed our stay. The very good service could have been improved to excellent by having more staff available.

Our room and the hotel in general was fantastic. The staff was very helpful in arranging reservations and giving assistance. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
