The hotel is beautifully located and the best feature is the lift next to the hotel. Otherwise, the front desk was extremely disorganized, the food was below average and the common areas were extremely common. The hotel looks like it needs a facelift(redecorated). All of the furniture in the lobby and dining room as well as the room were dirty and worn. There are is also no where to sit or walk outside to enjoy the view. Spa help was very cordial but the services were average. This was definitely what I would have expected from a five star or even a four star hotel. After this experience I would doubt I would visit another Vinnci hotel. We travel to Spain 3 times per year and I must admit we were disappointed.

We were given a great room with entrance/dressing area, good size bedroom and sitting area with a terrace and views over the slopes, terrific!! No. The air conditioning squeeked all through the night and couldn't be shut off affording us only brief and fitfull sleep. Reception staff advised "this had been a problem with other guests in that room" - the problem couldn't be fixed and the only alternative was to move us to a much smaller room with no view but at the same price. The Food offered in the dining room was hardly five star. In fact the hot food wasn't. It was warm, the overall standard of main courses offered was very poor and the breakfast scrambled eggs more like yellow porridge. All facilities offered needed to be paid for (5 Star Hotel???) including car parking. Nevertheless we looked forward to a relaxing jakuzi after a hard day on the ski slopes. No such luck. The water was hardly warm and the room it was in cold such that we got out after five minutes and shivvered all the way back to our room. On the whole the atmosphere in the hotel was close to that of a morgue. Some evenings both before and after dinner the only company in the bar lounge was the barman. And what's more it wasn't possible to escape easily. It was way too far to walk to the village and the last curtesy bus stopped at 8.00. Finally, the hotel offers a lift pass service which saves the hastle of queing at the central office in the village. Marvellous however, the even managed to cock that up when on the last day we found that only one of our two passes worked, so we ended up queing anyway, paying again and having to get our money back from the hotel. Thank goodness the weather and sking were good but the hotel: 5 star ideals with 2 star achievements.

I found the hotel to be of the highest standard. The position of the hotel was perfect for everything. I also found all the staff in all aspects of the hotel to be extremely helpfull in anthing i had any concerns with. A thouroughly good stay.

The hotel staff are excellent but the ammenities are less than I had expected (No swimming pool, private booking and charge for sauna & jacuzzi). Parking fee of Euro 18 p/day for guest too much! We required an additional room which was available but again the rate required was not commencerate with the rate we paid when booking through Venere. Overall the hotel is over priced, cost of accomodation should have included parking, sauna, jacuzzi and it should be clearly stated that, even though stating a 4/5 star hotel rating, there is no swimming pool.

Beautiful hotel, although we had slight problem with language (our spanish is not so good!!!. It was our honeymoon and we intend to reuse the hotel next time we are in Sierra Nevada as it is by far the best there.
