Hotel Posta - Moltrasio

Optimal position (front of lake and easy lake shipment service), no park without extra-costs next to the hotel (it should be included in room price on my opinion) but available within 10 minutes walk, great service, quality proportioned to the not cheap cost.

Hotel was very nice and very easy to find. Right on Lake Como and very easy access to Lake Como ferry. Older hotel that has been updated in most areas. Bathrooms were very spacious and updated. Rooms were a little tight, but that's common in European hotels. Staff was very accomodating and helpful with area details and any questions we had. Price was very reasonable for Italy and the location was awesome.

The hotel was lovely - our room was right above the restaurant below, so there was noise one evening from a party, but it wasn't too bad at all. The lake view was a sideways view from across the road, but the room was very adequate and the bath room was large. My main criticism was that the location was not the most convenient because many of the boats did not make stops there, we needed to drive into Como to pick up the boat for lake trips. Also, there were not many alternative choices for meals without driving to another town. I would look into staying in Cernobbio next trip. It is a larger town, but still quaint. It has restaurants and cafes to choose from and it has a more frequent boat schedule for travel on the lake.

Room and dinner very good

Nous sommes restés 3jours à Moltrasio.Le lieu est idéal pour découvrir le lac et sa région. L'hôtel est situé devant un embarcadère. Une chambre avait une petite vue sur le lac sans balcon pour profiter de cette vue (supplément de 10 euros) et l'autre à l'arrière sur les cuisines avec du bruit et des odeurs! Les chambres sont plutôt petites mais confortables, l'accueil est parfait.Le parking est couvert (7euros 50par nuit). Ce n'est pas un hotel où je resterais longtemps à cause de la petitesse des chambres et pas de salons avec vue sur le lac au rez de chaussée pour profiter du lac en cas de pluie. C'est une bonne base pour découvrir la région.

Very nice Hotel and generally friendly staff. Unfortunately, we had just stayed in a family run hotel in the mountains to the north of Bergamo which was half the price hence the fair rating for price.

A perfect hotel! My wife and I were not able to get a room at the front of the hotel due to booking late, but the view from the back wasn't bad at all,looking up a mountain side. And the room was beautiful,very spacious,spotlessly clean,nicely furnished with antique Italian furniture, and with a bathroom to match. The staff were friendly and helpful and most of them spoke English well. There was an excellent restaurant attached to the hotel,a couple more close by,and a lovely bar next door,which unfortunately didn't serve food at night,with a very friendly owner who even gave us a lift in his car to Cernobbio when he saw us waiting for a bus. The lakeside and the ferry point were literally across the road,a bus stop right outside the hotel,what more could you want? Posta is a lovely Italian hotel with a good mix of nationalities among its guests,and if you're prepared to make a little effort you won't be short of friends there. It is an idyllic base for touring Lake Como.

We have chosen the as a place for a stop between Luxembourg and the Toscana.

The view from our balcony was beautiful day and night. Although there was limited parking outside, the hotel has indoor parking for 5 Euros/day. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful and in particular the quality of the food was exceptional.

Excellent stay. They had wireless internet for the whole property too, which is excellent. Recommended without reservation.

The location I obtained by Via Michelin wasn't the good one (correct name of road but not in the correct town) then we had some difficulties to find the hotel. Concerning the hotel, it's a very good one: employees, facilities, location. We appreviate a lot the fact that employees speak french. We recommand this hotel.

We had a wonderful, restful time here. everything was beyond expectation. the staff was extremely helpful and we would not hesitate to return here for a great visit.

If you’re looking for a couple of days away from it all, this hotel is perfect. Hotel and staff were great, hotel restaurant was excellent and the Lake Como ferry station is right across the street. With the ferry you can reach any destination on the Lake. We’ll be back!

We experienced a wonderful holiday in Moltrasio, largely due to our complete satisfaction with Hotel Poste and its owners and staff. Restaurant really excellent - undoubtedly a home from home thanks to the friendliness and efficiency of all who worked there. We would have no hesitation in returning and can recommend this hotel very highly. Boats and bus stops right outside so it is ideally suited to those travelling without their own transport. Enjoy!

Nice Hotel and very good Kitchen

This has to be one of the most perfectly positioned hotels in Italy. It is situated right across the road from Lake Como and has the added bonus of being at one of the ferry stops for the ferry boats that service the lake. From here you can take a boat into the main town of Como. We stayed at the hotel in October 2004 and, from a tourist perspective, the area had wound down from it's peak period in Summer and was fairly quiet. If you are after a wild time, this isn't the time to come. The hotel itself was immaculately clean with a wonderful area out the front where they serve a very tasty breakfast, which was included in the price. They also serve lunch and dinner here. We stayed for two nights and had dinner here both nights. Because of the time of year, there didn't seem to be much else open. The food on both nights was excellent. The room, like the hotel was very clean, and reasonably spacious. I would ask for a room at the front of the hotel next time, where you would have a great view across the lake. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Posta. The ferry is right across the road with fantastic views of the lake. The views from the room are slightly obscured from the 2nd floor room we were in. I think the 3rd floor would have had better views, being higher up. The restaurant food is ok, but nothing special. There aren't a lot of surrounding restaurants to choose from but we headed into town for more variety. The staff are quite friendly, especially the female receptionist whose English is very good and is always willing to help with a smile.
