Hotel Servigroup Marina Playa - Mojácar

I booked 2 adults and 2 children in and have the email showing that I would be charged for one room. When we arrived I was told I had booked two rooms and they made me pay for both rooms, nearly doubling the cost of the holiday. (If you did have 4 people in one room there would not be enough storage or hanging space.) Hotel starring rates might be different in Spain, but this was definitely not 4*. It was clean and the bar and dining staff were friendly, but it was also very basic. They need to think about adding DVD players in the rooms and brightening up the hotel decor which is purple and gloomy. Also, we reported our air conditioning was not working and it was not resolved during our stay. There was one lifeguard who was not particularly attentive, or even always there, so you had to be eagle-eyed with your kids around the pool. Overall, the staff are nice, the food was very good, but I was disappointed in comparison to other holidays I have had.

After an initial problem (the flowers arranged for my wife's birthday had not arrived) they could not do enough for us - complimentary sparkling wine,nibbles,and garage parking. The room was fair-sized, warm, everything functioning and overlooking the pool with side sea view. Staff were all very friendly with no language problems. Food, served buffet style, was adquate rather than oustanding but the arrangment of distribution points was rather confusing resulting in people wandering round like a swarm of ants looking for things - perhaps after a few days one would get used to it but we were there for just the one night. The outlook - typical beach in winter was a bit grim but overall we were sufficiently impressed to plan to stay here again on our next visit in June.

I was informed that the music playing until midnight each night from the bar area underneath my room could not be turned down and that nothing could be done about it ..... even requesting that I change room so that I would not be disturbed fell on deaf ears..... I will not stay at this hotel again.

Mojacar is a quiet resort. The location is excellent as described. The food is buffet style and very good quality with plenty of choice

Siamo restati soltanto 2 giorni, ma sono stati molto piacevoli. unico neo alla situazione è stata la lontananza dal centro del paese. uscire dopo cen per una passeggiata non è molto piacevole per il nulla che c'è intorno. il cibo è molto buono e vario. l'aria condizionata è troppo alta, fa quasi freddo.

Lovely location, friendly staff,spacious rooms, excellent choice of food, good facilities. Excellent value for money.

Thoroughly agreable stay. Surprised that towels were not provided for the hotel pools. Excellent range of food though much more could have been considered for vegetarians.

My ratings say it all. We always go for a four star hotel in spain, and this is one of the best. Negative points, colour scheme inside the foyer a little drab. Sometimes some of the food a bit cool, no problem for me but my wife likes her food piping hot, which for me in a hot climate is not important. The most important factor is that I will reccomend the Hotel to friends and family, and visit again.

This was an excellent choice of hotel, the location and facilities were exceptional and we shall certainly use your company to book any future hotels that we require.

This hotel was excellent value for money. The accommodation was clean and spacious. We were on half board and the food was fantastic especially for the price we had paid.

Comfortable, clean,spacious, not near any restaurants or bars - nearest outside the hotel is nearly 2 kms, best to eat out !!! People above me kept moving furniture around which resonated through the floor. Overall very good value for money, quite quiet in November which suited me fine.

The hotel, staff and surroundings were excellent but there is no food available outside of set meal times. The cafeteria serves only ice-creams and the bar offers ham/cheese sandwiches - not acceptable for a 4 star hotel

Marina Playa was a perfect quiet stop for a couple of days. I was there in mid-May, and it wasn't very busy, so that probably added to the charm. Also, the price was definately right.

I was very pleased with the overall quality and service at the Marina Playa Hotel, my only complaint was that the quality of the food was not to the normal standards that I have received from this group of hotels in the past.

I thought the hotel and its position was excelent.I can honestly say there was only one thing that i could have a moan at and that is it had no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Exellent hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful.We booked half board and the food was fabulous,exellent value for money.Because of its location you do need a car because there is nothing else around there only other hotels.
