Palazzo Failla Hotel was a fantastic place to stay in Modica. The welcoming could not have been more friendly by the staff. It truly did feel like staying in an old palace. Our room was very spacious and spotless. Ristorante La Gazza Ladra, located on the premises, is one of the best ever. It was expensive but worth it. It is a foodie's delight. They had free internet use. There was no parking but for a small fee, we had valet parking.

This is a difficult one because our expectations were high owing to first-rate reviews. We booked a simple "Classic" room and were immediately offered an upgrade, and chose to stay in the main hotel rather than the annex. The Failla family and other staff were superb, as was the breakfast, and the location and the directions for finding the hotel. However the "faded" glory was rather too faded for us with uncomfortable bed and rock-like pillows (and mosquitoes). Excellent bathroom. Car-parking was made stress-free by helpful staff. Sadly both their restaurants were closed but they recommended very good simple local restaurants.

Felt a bit captive as there were no restaurants nearby. It is a long walk down 300 steps to the central section. Also 300 steps back up to the hotal. That being said the hotel itself and the staff were great.

it's like traveling in time, living in a real historic building (with original furnitures) with all the comforts of a modern hotel. Manuela and Ignazio at the reception desk are so kind and will help you in every way they can; Ms and Mr Failla, the owners of the hotel, welcome you as warmly and kindly as possible. The hotel has two restaurants, one more and one less expensive, that really worth the price you pay; you can eat a wonderful dinner in a magnificent location for less than 30 euros (plus the wine, 650 kinds of...). The best face of Sicilian hospitality at a very convenient rate. It was a pity that I stayed for a very short period, but I will be back, and not only for the hotel...

It was one of my best stay; this hotel is magic...the building super, the staff so kind and helpfull, the food excellent and you can have all services you wish. Don't hesitate...choose Palazzo Failla to stay in Modica!

Luxurious yet very friendly hotel, with excellent service. Parking in Modica is impossible, but the staff takes care for you (i.e., offer to park for you). Welcome cocktail as promised. Room is elegantly designed with original features, walk in wardrobe and modern bathroom. Hotel arranged free city walking tour which can't be missed (make sure you are fit for it as Modica has many steps). Staff really look after you and make you feel like VIP. Wide choice of breakfast buffet including cheese and local delicatesse.

By carFrom Catania (city/airport), follow signs to Ragusa (about 100 km) don't take the first Ragusa exit, but proceed straight on in direction of Modica (about 16 km) and take the first exit to Modica (Modica Alta).
At the roundabout turn right and after 500 metres you will see a bus station and a street going up, take this street, drive by St. George cathedral, after 300 metres you will reach a little square (with trees all around).
