Hotel Principe - Modena

The entrance could do with an update and the bedrooms could do with a repaint to get rid of the blue rooms. It did have air conditioning, which was very welcome as it was hot. This is the only hotel on our journey that had a fridge.

A very comfortable choice for anyone visiting the city, as it is very near the railstation and just a few hundreds meters off the heart of the city. Decent rooms, very charmy and welcoming staff, good breakfast, a superb cost/quality ratio overall. If you don't have particular needs (a room facing the duomo, or a luxurious breakfast) and you are searching for a good and comfortable hotel with a competent and kindly mannered staff you can stop your search and book a room here. And, please, enjoy Modena!

Located close to the station and easy to find. The room was OK but very tired looking and needed some minor repairs. Breakfast was very good with good selection. Modena is really nice and has a beautiful Gothic cathedral with a leaning tower. Our main reason for stay was to go to Maranello and see the Galleria Ferrari (a bit disappointing but the Ferrari test drive next door was awesome, defintely a bucket list item!)

Surprisingly difficult to find given that it is near the station. Once found, however, it is only a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Classic station hotel, uninspiring decor which would beneift from updating. But nothing wrong about it except for the limited breakfast.

Altogether positive; the public areas appeareance should be improved

Walking distance from Modena center and train station, surrounding environment quiet, employee very helpful and patient about tourist question.

This was a great hotel, centrally located and perfect for our needs. Too bad we could only stay one night!

Well placed hotel close to railway station but no noise. About 500 metres to Modena centre so handy for everything. I would recommend this hotel. Lady serving breakfast could smile more though !

A good location near the centre of the city. Room was fairly basic compared to the photos on the website but staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel gave me a ticket to allow parking in a designated area immediately outside at no charge

Hotel Principe is located a 2minute walk from the train station and a 5 or 10 min walk into the centre of Modena. Had a really great stay, the staff were very helpful and chatty. Rooms perfect and clean and cool. Would recommend.

Avendo soggiornato molto spesso a modena posso dire che l' hotel principe è uno dei migliori che si possano trovare in centro...vicinissimo all'accademia. Le stanze sono uguali a quelle presentate nelle foto ed il personale è stato molto gentile ed accogliente. La colazione è molto varia ed abbondante.Assolutamente consigliato

Very comfortable with welcoming staff and convenient location to main piazza.

A great location, within easy walking distance of the train station and historic Old Town. Very nicely remodeled building and pleasantly decorated rooms. A nice breakfast and good service. We would stay here again

I think this hotel has warm atmosphere, mainly because of the people. At the front desk I asked about some problems of internet access, and they kept helping me till I get the solution. The room interior I liked, too, and very clean! Location was easy to find, too.

Leisure healte

For some reason the Principe Hotel assigned me a wheelchair-accessible room on the first floor, right next to the elevator. The room was spacious, painted a restful shade of blue, and had a gently vaulted ceiling with a severed electrical cable sticking improbably down through the centre of it. Actually, this room was quite a bit nicer than any of the ones in the photos. It was very quiet, and although the street was right outside the window, and the lift outside the door, I heard very little noise during my two-night stay. In fact, the room was almost too insulated: It was a big production to open the two sets of double-pane windows and unlatch the shutters ... but well-shuttered windows are probably essential during the summer months. I found it harder than expected to navigate between the hotel and the station, but otherwise the location was ideal. In short, the Hotel Principe met or exceeded my expectations in all respects. I would not hesitate to recommend it, or to stay there again myself.
