Most routes to Mittelberg meet in Ulm. From there follow the A7 highway to the motorway junction Allgäu (Kempten) direction Oberstdorf. Take the exit Waltenhofen. From there the road B19 continues, direction Oberstdorf via Sonthofen and then on into the Kleinwalsertal. Once in Kleinwalsertal, you pass through the villages of Riezlern and Hirschegg until you reach the Walserstrasse. The IFA Alpenrose Hotel is on the right side.
