We are very pleased about our decision to visit Starhotels Rosa Grand. The quality of service was excellent. We would not hesitate to book a reservation in the future at this excellent property. We stayed 4 nights at this hotel in October 2009. J. and S. Myers

Perfect location for vacation tourists and opera fans. The room is spacious and clean. The only negative was that the TV did not show NHK screen, only sound/voice.

The design is really excellent, but my room was smelly.

Beautiful location. Beautiful restaurant/breakfast area, with the largest windows I have ever seen. Standard room was a bit small, but definitely comfortable. Starhotels Pay TV system still best in the land. 1 out of 6 staff I had contact with had a touch of an attitude problem, but great service over all.

The staff were not very welcoming, and when we complained about the stains on the carpeting, etc. they said that we should have ordered the "deluxe" accommodations. I'm not sure if this is the best response to a complaint. The acted as if we should be grateful that we got a room at all, no matter how old and disheveled it was.

Phone did not work properly. Even after reporting and technician visit, it remains broken through our stay. Restaurant staff was not attentive and service unsatisfactory. Reception and concierge staff can be more enthusiastic.

The hotel is very close to the centre, it's the best choice to stay there if you want to go for shopping. All the shops are so close and everything you want in general. The room was very clean and quiet and the service was just great. They gave us any information we needed and helped us a lot. In future we will go to Milan again and we plan to stay to the same hotel. Everything was just as we expected. Very good.

Great location within walking distance of Duomo and museums, shopping and Metro. Lovely room and bathroom. Big enough for sofa bed for our 20 year old son.

I've stayed at this hotel several times but this last one pushed me away. Not only was the construction obnoxious (insane, couldn't even think) and started before 08:00, but the hotel didn't seem to care to even apologize when I brought it up. The restaurant mentioned they would make a meal which typically comes for two people for one, but they brought out the same dish for two people and charged me full price after saying they would make it for one. Not the service I would expect for the price, I would at least appreciate honesty.

This hotel has recently been renovated and was very modern with good food and facilities and helpful staff. I chose it due to its proximity to La Scala which is about 6 mins walk away.

Very disappointed with the size of the room and the fact that it was right at the back of the hotel overlooking a fire escape. I wonder if this is because we booked through an agency and whether if we had booked direct with the hotel we would have been allocated a better room. Location for city centre absolutely spot on, you couldn't be more central.

executive room: perfect but public areas are impersonal, a big station hall without any charm : on the site you say: " le magnifique hall enrichi de marbres et miroirs et illuminé par des chandeliers de crystal facetté, vous remmènent au charme et à l'ambiance de la deuxième moitié du 19ème siècle." ?????? where ??? The breakfast is despicable of a hotel 4*: two days when we took this meal, the bread was stale. The orange juice is not a fresh orange juice, I think that it is some powder orange juice and not an orange juice in bottle because it was the worst that I have never drunk. The last day at 10 am there was not bread anymore..incredible for a night and 2 breakfast for 690 euros... the hotel is good for the executive room, Very attractive room , sophisticate and the location in milano, Exceptional.

well after all we have to remember that it is Europe, so what ever you are paying high it doesn't mean your paying for the best.

My wife and I were very pleased for having choosed the StarHotel for our first contact with Milan. A very nice hotel, with professiinal staff, confortable room and delicious breakfast, close to the Duomo and with easy access to alltransports in town. A must go!

A wonderful return to northern Italy, the hotel is being refurbished and you access from the side door, a bit of a shock when you arrive outside a building project.

Quiet centre of Milan. Near the Cathedral, 5 min from La Scala, 10 min from Brera... Place, place, place...

Was under some construction, but still overall very good experience. Rooms were small at our price point (but given location, I'm not surprised). Had problem with first room which had a defective a/c unit, so they switched our room after first night (though unfortunately we naturally had to pack up again, so they could move our bags.)

Our arrival was not auspicious - the computer system was down and we could not be allocated a room. We went back after lunch and were now given a room, but it had twin beds, not the king we had booked. No worries, that was quickly sorted out and we were taken to a king room which looked onto the interior space but was otherwise excellent; spacious, modern, with a full bathroom including bidet and a walk-in closet, and close to the lift, which is important in this hotel. The bed was very comfortable and we were happy with the accommodation. The hotel was being renovated so the public areas were not quite as they should have been but the new spaces are beautifully done. The restaurant is excellent and the maitre d' very good. The tuna in pistachio crust is particularly to be recommended. While we were there the restaurant was moved into its new space, which is bright and really nice. All the staff were as helpful and friendly as could be. The only blot was that the whole five days we were there no one could make our phone access an outside line, but we could live without it. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is literally a stone's throw from the cathedral, the Galleria and Teatro La Scala, and a short walk from the castle and even the church which houses the Last Supper. It's right on the Metro, tram and bus lines, and is surrounded by dozens of good restaurants. Milan is a great city and the Rosa is right in the heart of it, yet still in a quiet spot. We would certainly stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to all tourists who can afford it. We paid 200 Euros a night including breakfast, and this may sound cheap to a European but the weak $A makes it expensive for Australians!

We stay at Rosa hotel for 5 nights. We got a big and good room it was very clean. The furniture, accessories the parquet floor, all was new. The hotel is very centraly, in spite of that, it was very quit. The brakfast was very good, and the staff was helpfull. All araund the hotel there are streets with shops and resturants. The hotel is near the Dumo and the Emanuella shopping center. The Metro, tramway and buses, are few staps from the Hotel. We recommend this hotel to all aur friends. When we will be again in Milano we will stay again in this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel in August 2008 and it was undergoing a major renovation. Happily, we had one of the recently renovated rooms. It had no view (an internal courtyard), but was otherwise very nice. The bed was new (the pillows too flat), the bathroom new, it had new wood floors, and a flat screen TV. And comfy slippers. All very nice.

Worst bed and most inedible breakfast I have ever had in Italy. The beds seemed to made out of layers of sponge and one of them was not level-it sloped slightly from side to side. The breakfast pastry was wooden and the cappuccino tasteless. After the first morning we took breakfast out, which added considerably to the cost of the trip. I also had to wait in queue for more than 15 mins before check-in, as both reception clerks were dealing with problems for guests who were already staying there. I had been travelling for more than 12 hours so I wasn't really amused. What can I say? The public rooms, the room itself and the bathroom were very nice but that's not much consolation when the bed and the breakfast are ghastly. I have stayed just round the corner at a hotel which costs half: the room was smaller, the bathroom a little less flash, but the bed and the breakfast were lovely.

Wonderful hotel - excellent location (just a few steps from the Duomo - which made finding it a bit easier), beautiful lobby, well-appointed, lovely bedrooms, modern and clean bathrooms. Very attentive staff. The hallways to the rooms were a bit worn but it doesn't matter since the lobby, rooms and bathrooms were all top-notch and obviously recently renovated. We would definitely stay here any time we are in Milan.

The Hotel is well located and that's about it. It is not worth the price you pay, only the breakfast is fine. Moquette is worn out and the room is average. I will not go there again.
