Location is Excellent and quiet. Can walk from the train station. It is about half way between the train station and the main area to visit. Be sure to have a map if you're roaming around a lot-it will help you get back on track when you feel lost. There's a divine breakfast cafe down the main road with a great white and modern decor. I loved this place and will be my Go to Hotel when visiting Milan. I won't even bother looking for anything better. PS I stayed at the other Mokinba in Milan a long time ago and that one was great too-but I prefer this one as the location is much quieter.

they place me in a smoking room and i had to raise hell to have them change. The rooms barely have the necesities. noisy at night , you can hear people going in and out of their rooms and kitchen noise coming from either downstairs or the sorrounding hotels. At the front desk there are not maps or panflets of the attrsctios surrou ding, neither info on trains. The breakfast was extra and overpriced.

We stayed here for 4 Nights in July. The location is great being next to the republicca metro station. Only 1 stop to the central train station and a couple of stops to Milan centre. The area also has alot of livery bars/resturaunts and also a well equiped shop in walking distance. The room, altough very clean, was quite small with not much room in the bathroom to swing a towel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel for short stayers but the room size maybe an issue for people wishing to stay longer.

We've stayed there for 4 days in a double room: cleanliness was really good, the hotel sorroundings were great. its situated in Zona Reppublicca. about 200mtrs from the Metro, 10min walking from the Central Station, and pretty close to Corso Buenos Aires and the Doumo. The only bad thing to mention it is the boiler of the hotel, it works 24hs without stop it may bother your sleep.Despite that, we have a great time there.

I hesitated a long time before booking this hotel but finally, once arrived at the reception, I did not regret my choice. First of all, we arrived at 1PM at the hotel while the check-in was at 2PM, but we could directly access our room without waiting for an hour. We were welcomed in French which was quite surprising and appreciated since we don't speak Italian. We were then clearly explained how to reach the center of the city (Duomo) thanks to the subway near the hotel (2 min walk). The room was a bit tiny, but comfortable and clean, equiped with a TV, clim and even a speaker in the bathroom to listen to the TV while taking a shower! The breakfast was not that good. Served between 7:30 and 9:30AM. We arrived at 8:30 and there was nothing left and no refill. So we had to coop with bad mortadel and the few beard left... Anyway, that we enough to start the another day of sightseeing through the city! We only paid 55€ for 1 night + 2 breakfast, which is an excellent ratio price/quality. Easy to find (thanks to a good GPS), only 2 tube station from the Duomo (tube = 1€ per person), plenty of place in the street to park the car (no need to park in the hotel's parking).

have been in this hotel many times (since it was 3 stars) and always rated it as the best (good value for money). now it's 4 stars but I would say it 3 star hotel: Problems: we booked superior room and got a room with shower cabin that is less then 90*90, you can just stand quitly there, though I am very small I felt very uncomfortable, but when we asked to change the room we got the other one in a day. In new room there was a very bad smell (like smoking or something else), breakfast: before they had a very efficient woman (black woman) who alone manage to maintain dishes full, bring coffee etc. now you can come when dishes are empty and you have to ask to fill them, one day we were told that part of breakfast food is simply finished and we had to eat what was left. Good things: very effecient person who brings luggage, he is the one who help in the breakfast, reception is helpful. Actually it was my favourite hotel in Milan, but as a result of my last stay and compare to the others we stayed in Italy, I will have to look for some new options in Milan for my future stays, unfortunately

The hotel was very good. The only things I didn't like were the extras: in my opinion it's too much 20 euros per day for parking which should be a special rate for the hotel (the parking is in fact 5 minutes walk far from the hotel). And then I would never have expected to pay 1 euro for each bag to leave our luggage in the hall on the day we left the room. Not expected in a 4 stars hotel...

Clean and pleasant hotel with very nice personal, BUT they gave us a very small double room (even if nice furnished) which was absolutely under any 4 stars standards for dimension. The bed was also too small and we had an uncomfortable slipping. They apologized and said that we were unlucky that at the time of the reservation they have had only this availability and that the other rooms and beds are bigger. They were nice and everything else was fine so we didn’t make a big deal, but if I was on their place I would give this room only as a single in order not to harm the good impression that the hotel makes in general.

Please be aware this is NOT a 4 star hotel, the rooms are tiny, and very old as are the public spaces. The ad stated there would be bikes available for use, and as a cyclist this was why I rented the room. Upon arrival we were told there were no bikes free (they only have two!) the next day we did get them but they were so old, broken, flat and dangerous it was a major hassle to even get them going. They charged us money for a map of the city - even though it was a sponsored map with ads all over the actual map section. Internet was very expensive - COME ON HOTELS INTERNET IS NOT A LUXURY IT NEEDS TO BE A STANDARD INCLUSION We were also charged for our bags to be held after we checked out until we left for the airport. All in all I was very unimpressed and would not stay here or recommend it to others - the Weston is next door stay there!

Location of the hotel is very good, close to subway and not far from Central Station. The staff is very polite and helpful and speak good English. The room was not very big, the AC worked well. The main minus was that the room was dark as it was not possible to open the shutters. Not bad breakfast. ATTENZIONE AL PERSONALE: al check out una bottiglietta d'acqua mi è stata fatta pagare 6 euro quando costava 2,50, senza ricevuta. The hotel was close to the train station and the subway stop, but was quite a distance from the main downtown areas (the Duomo, etc.) Unfortunately, as we were there in August almost all the local restaurants were closed, but we did manage to find a place to eat. The staff were excellent, especially the afternoon desk clerk who was cheerful and friendly at all times, even when he was suffering from what was clearly a very painful tooth abcess. The breakfasts were incredible - absolutely the best we had in Italy, with a wide variety of food and made to order lattes, expressos or cappucinos. And the woman who runs the breakfast room is amazing - she never stopped running - making coffees, putting out fresh food, clearing tables - and all with a big smile.

Nice hotel. Clean. Great location. The staff was very nice, very helpful. The breakfast is bountiful and varied. Wireless coverage was too weak to use. Spent my time connected in the lobby. Tiny TV but, who cares? The room itself was nearly as big as a room we had occasion to visit in the top rated Principe, just up the street. But the shower! The shower was so small it was nearly impossible to use! I'm 6'3", 240 and had to turn sideways to get in. Once I was in I spent the entire time banging my elbows against the glass. The other issue we had is hard to blame on the hotel. We stayed for five days and twice during our stay, at 6AM a garbage truck planted itself below our window and crushed trash for 15 noisy minutes! There was just no sleeping through it! All in all, not a bad place.

Ideally situated for a visit to Milan unless you need to be in the centre of the City. You need to be able and willing to walk 15 minutes into town, though there are adequate trams, buses and taxis if you are lazy. The rooms were adequate but small. The staff friendly and willing to answer any query. Speak a little Italian to them, smile and they will bend over backwards to assist. Breakfast was surprisingly good in comparison to other Italian hotels and for the price.

The welcome by the staff was excellent, both verbally by the receptionist and by the porter who took our bags taken up to our room; and all the staff spoke embarassingly good English. Great location as well - 2-3 minutes to the Metro station (Republicca); walkable into town (albeit a 15 min walk); also some cafes nearby for early morning / latenight coffees or beers, including one very cool bar just down the roa; and the main public park was opposite. Only one downside was that because it is so close to the main road (although a block back from it) you can still hear the rumble of the road in the morning and mid-evening, which I guess might be more of an issue for light sleepers who sleep with the window open. Didn't try the air conditioning but I would guess it would've worked a treat! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I would preffer Bed cloth to be changed more often. During my stay it wasn't done. As it's now 4 star hotel - I would advise to have a full room service in order to order proper food to the room at any time. But in geberal everything is perfect: breakfast, rooms, service

Sicuramente ci ritorneremo

I went to Milan with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We wanted everything to be perfect. I must admit I was a bit disappointed. The room we got was so small that you have no choice but lie on the bed! The window was hided behind the bathroom wall so there was no day-light coming in. The bathroom was no different! It was difficult to wash the toes as there is no space to bend your body! You can forget about having a shower with your partner! After we complained we got different room for the second night. It was a little bit bigger. At least the window was there. Bathroom big enough, however, you have only light above the sink and toilet but not in the corner where there is bath. I found it very frustrating. I would never thought this was a **** hotel. In contrast, the staff was very nice and helpful; and the breakfast lovely! Wybralismy sie do Milan aby swietowac urodziny. Chcielismy zeby wszystko wypadlo pomyslnie. Niestety zawiedlismy sie troche. Pokoj ktory dostalismy byl strasznie maly, ze bylismy zmuszeni lezec w lozku caly czas! Okno schowane za sciana od lazienki. Wiec zadne promienie sloneczne nie padaly do srodka. Lazienka rowniez malutka.

Can't control room temperture when heater is burning hot. So we open the window to let cool air into the room. The nice thing is the hotel provides the shutle to the airport even as early as 5:30 AM.

I booked a room for 300 Euros while in the room itself the pricelist shows a maximum price of 220 Euros. So I payed 80 Euros more than the room costs in high season. The Price was not only wrong, it was simply way too high for the quality of the hotel.

Staff was very helpful (spoke English & French & Spanish) - Hotel idealy localed between the "new shopping" heart of the town and the "old city" part (e.g Duomo), etc...). Quiet, clean & good breakfeast. Just ideal!

My wife and I went to Europe for our 1st wedding anniversary. Hotel Baviera is a great hotel which is in good proximity to the train station, subway and shopping districts. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious (in Italian standards) and the hotel felt modern and renovated. The breakfast (which was included in the price) was good and in line with other Italian hotels we stayed in.

During our trip to Italy we stayd at four hotels, three of which were recommended by users at Venere. All of the hotels through Venere were very good, and Hotel Baviera was definitely the best of them all. The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were very tidy and well equipped. There was even a doorman to bring the bags up to the room for us. The quietness of the rooms was a big plus, as I have difficulty sleeping (I used ear plugs at all the others). I found the user ratings to be a very accurate and a good guide for choosing accomodation. Thanks to the users for providing good comments :)

This is our 2nd stay here. We love this place. It is better to pay the same price or a little more for a 4 star near a metro stop than a 1 star dear the duomo. This place is great. It is a luxury hotel. The staff is great too. VERY friendly and helpful.

It's a very nice 4-star boutique hotel in a good location in Milan. Just a block away from the Republica metro station, the hotel is very convenient for sightseeing and shopping on the Corso Buenos Aires. Much quieter surroundings than hotel row near Stz Centrale. Breakfast is standard but very nice - yogurt, cereal, cakes, croissants, bread, cold cuts, hard boiled eggs. The self-serve fresh-squeezed orange juice machine is great! Unfortunately, hotel doesn't have wifi, only dialup. But fortunately it's vacation so it was actually nice to be unplugged. Bathroom was small but very clean.

Nice hotel, had a quiet interior single room. And it was a small single, OK to sleep in but basically a closet. But everything else about the hotel was fine. Also contrary to other comments, it is easy to find the hotel - Metro to Repubblica, look for the Westin. Facing the Westin, just take the small side street that runs on the right side of the Westin, the hotel is right there.
