Rooms were not quiet and we had to pay 10€ for car park when we leaved the hotel.

Considering my previous comments for this hotel, I think this hotel deserves a higher score and so I rate it a 2nd time (as I booked for 3 nights in 2 separate bookings).

For a budget hotel in Milano, location far from city center is a tradeoff for its cheap price. If it is not a big concern, it is actually a good choice as the room is clean and breakfast is good too. What I appreciate the most is their service. Upon our arrival, we were informed that we got room for 2nd and 3rd nights but not the 1st as the operator got no record in that. He then took prompt action to assign us to another hotel near the Centrale train station and pay us the taxi fee. I was really satisfied and thankful for their arrangement and our plan at night was not delayed after all.

Stay away from this hotel! It is at least 45mins away from city on a tram and is not a home away from home. It is old, unwelcoming, and depressing. Staff don't smile and I wouldn't either if I worked there! The hotel is extremely old and smells funny. I'm sure once upon a time it deserved its three star rating but where I'm from, one star would be all they'd get today.

I stayed in the hotel during Milan Furniture Fair 2011 and the price was high for a 3 star hotel, €190 per night but then all the hotels in Milan seem to put their prices up at that time. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was excellent. I ate a meal at a nearby pizzeria called La Lampara which I would reccommend. The main problem about the hotel is that it is not particularly near the centre. There are no nearby underground stations but there are two trams which go into the centre of town, a journey of about half an hour, one line goes to the Castello Sforzesco and the other to the Stazione Centrale. On the whole I would have been very pleased if I had been paying an economy price.

We stayed two days and found this hotel to be good quality for the price. It's not a fancy hotel but the room was clean and the amenities acceptable. Breakfast buffet was ok quality, nothing fancy but good basics. Good restaurants in the area and the tram right outside the hotel was easy and convenient to use to get in and out to the center of the city. No complaints.

Comparing to other hotels of the same category in Milan I was surprised about the fact that the room was clean, the bed was okay and quite, the breakfast was absolutely okay. By tram you can reach the hotel within 20 to 25 minutes from the central station. All in all: worth the price, espescially in the high season (Salone del Mobile). I know a lot of hotels that are more expensive and have less to offer (espescially in Milan)

Eventhough the location is quite far from the historical places and main train station but it is very convenient to reach the hotel with tram 5 from Milano Centrale & tram from Castello Sforzesco.

This hotel was more like a 5 star hotel. Beautiful and newly decorated. Staff very helpful and friendly. Wonderful breakfast. Would go back any time. Access by bus OK but a little bit long (approximately 40 minutes from downtown).

Both our single and our twin room were simple but satisfactory in size and cleanness, and so were the bathrooms. The beds were much better than expected from so simple rooms. If you are disturbed by tramway noise, try not to get a room towards the tramway street. The close tramway stop Niguarda Nord is an advantage, though. Line 4 takes you quickly to a Metro station and line 5 without change to Milan Central station. There are som nice pizzerias with moderate prices very near the hotel. The staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet was quite good. We will be back next time in Milan.

Personale molto disponibile.

I just stayed overnight and due to a fiera the city was booked out. it took a 30 min. trip to get there from the station - not a problem but at night I took a taxi to get back. Room was ok and brakfast too, for a big city like Milan a reasonable price but far away from the city.

Firstly the hotel is actually 35 mins from town on a boneshaker tram. Service is great if you are a man! I found the hotel staff on reception rude and unhelpfulesopecially when I had a problem with somebody playing knock and run. I would urge you not to stay there unless you like loud air conditioning that is switched on at 7am each morning regardless of weather! The breakfast also left a lot to be desired. My advice would be to pay a little more and stay closer to town with a more customer service aware hotel staff!

Arrived to the hotel there was only one person at the reception and about 100 Japanese waiting. They gave me a very owful room, you can check the 124. The bathroom was very dirty with lots of hairs everywhere and no one soap provided. Remote control tv switch was broken.

Went to a conference at University of Milan Bicocca, and this hotel is close-by and good value for money (this is Milan after all). Using bus and tram, it's easy to get to the university as well as to the city. Staff are generally friendly, although visitors are not allowed, only guests with a room key are allowed to go past the receptionist.

Have stayed at this hotel before although out of town good public transport available to main city station and also close to Cadorna station for trains to and from Malpensa airport. A fair sized buffet breakfast provided. Had a single room not overly big but adaquate with en-suite facility. T.V. in room.Linen changed daily. Overall a good price. Would stay here again.

The hotel is situated right in front of a extremely frequented tram line which is in service until 1 a.m. in the morning. the windows don't absorb the noise at all. i made very bad experiences with one of the staff-members at the counter - absolutely unpolite and not able to say "good morning". disgusting. after travelling many countries of the world, spending many nights in hotel rooms (from cheap prices to luxury...) i have to say: NEVER AGAIN ORNATO !

We were quite reluctant to stay at a hostel that seemed to be so far away from the city centre but, luckyly, it happened to have a "tram" stop just in front of its main entrance, which was great. Besides, it was a nice, cute and very clean... And the breakfast was good... So, we had a really nice stay at Hotel Ornato.

Hotel quite far from the center (on the map it seemed closer):40 minutes for reaching the Fiera by tube. The Receptionist gave me a still dirty room (I arrived at 14:00)and when I told it to him he answered me he thought it was cleaned but he didn't give me another one.Small old room (it looked like an hospital room), noise coming from the street (tube line). Sufficient breakfast but dirty tables and chairs.I didn't pretend for 40 Euro a suite but not even such a poor accommodation.

Hotel staff helpful, and spoke English. Was disappointed that we were given a twin room, having booked a double room. Also, room was quite small -awkward shape as it was a corner room 9othr rooms appeared bigger0. Breakfast was included in the price, and was fine. Car parking was secure, but cost an extra 4 euros a day. To get to centre of Milan by public transport was fine, but involved bus trip and underground. Generally it was good value for money.

The personal is very unfriendly. In the web-site is written that the hotel was "only a few minutes" from the main station". That is absolutely not true cause you have to go by bus from the mainstation for some 20 minutes. The first time I went I was obliged to use a taxi which cost a lot in Milano. The place is only interesting cause of the low prices. In general, it has the ambiance of a youth hostel.

The person witch where on the counter by incheck, was very busy on the phone, between two calls he answered our questions very fast and not very helpfull. They keep our passports in sight of the people. And he only had to take our numbers. The breakfast was good, but there was much noise en workpeople around.

Was initially apprehensive about booking 4 nights at a hotel where no one had reviewed before. There didn't seem a lot of information about this hotel on the net either, and the fact that it was located outside of tourist maps (in a residential area) had me just a little worried. But it all turned out pretty well - transportation was convenient, bus stop was pretty close to hotel (50m), and one could avoid all that touristy bustle when you get back from a day's touring. Rooms are clean and relatively spacious, toilet/shower rooms were very clean, and toiletries replenished every day. I was pretty impressed. Breakfast was served from 7-10am, and I made sure I ate my fill before heading out! On the whole, if you don't mind travelling for 20mins everyday to get to the city centre, this is a great hotel to stay at. Transportation is convenient and frequent, also, you get the knack of travelling with Milan's public transport! That's the way to really experience a country, during one's travels! I enjoyed it so much, I started experimenting with different ways of getting to the city centre - bus/tram/metro etc. Pretty cool, knew the city rather well after that! :) Will stay there again if I visit Milan again. For the price, this hotel's good value!

Situato in periferia.

There was only one member of staff that could be considered a benefit to the hotel. He was a gentleman and assisted us as much as he could. Two other members of staff managed to mis-inform us and were generally unpleasent!!!!! Trying to find the place is a nightmare even with the best of maps, in fact most taxi drivers have difficulty locating it. I will never return to this hotel. This site however is very efficient and fulfilled it's role proffesionally!
