Mokinba Hotel is located right next to the Malpensa Express....so if you need to get to the MXP airport, stay here! The hotel is very nice and clean. We paid 78 euros for one night by prepaying for a standard double room (no breakfast), so the price was great. We also had a small balcony that faced the backside of the hotel. Beds are very comfortable. Only con is that the bathroom shower drain was clogged and drained very slowly...and also the internet usage charge was steep (5 euros for 1 hour). Hotel is also close to Da Vinci's Last Supper and reasonable walking distance to the Duomo.

A great place to stay if you need to be able to get to and from Malpensa airport. The train station is just a block away and has a train to the airport. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Nothing particularly special or charming about the hotel, but it has all of the standard requirements.

Administrative staff was very arrogant and sometimes not kindness. There is no competence in reception about technical issues like internet. We bougth internet service and it didn't work at our room at fifth floor probably because of lack of connectivity. Then we tried it downstairs at the lobby and it worked only for couple of days. Then there were some problem at server and we couldn't use internet at all despite the fact that it was very important for us. Nevertheless we were charged for full hour, despite the fact that we we using internet only for 25-30 mins. Administration could not help us with technical problems and were not kind.

Great hotel. Rooms a little small but new and very clean. Walking distance to Cathedral and close to tram and metro. Not many restaurants etc nearby (however it seems that the whole of Milan goes on holidays in August so there didn't seem to be much happening anywhere!)

Bad experience in this hotel, as when we arrive, the explained that no room was available for plumbing problems and they moved us to another hotel of the brand, but far from the city centre, that was my main interest when I was looking for this hotel! They did not gave any solution, and no complaint form was available, as in Italy they don't have. So horrible experience and no serious place. Not recomended at all!!

Close to transport network (subway 200 m, not 50 m awaay as stated, but still great!) and all major attractions (Dome, Sforzesco castle, etc) and shopping areas. Good breakfast. Polite, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Overall, qood choice.

This hotel was extremely small, the staff were very arrogant, rude and unhelpful. For the amount paid and the accommodation received it was terrible, it stated that this hotel was a 4*, it was far from this. We had one room that was infested with fleas and the hotel staff did not do anything for us. In addition to this we were given the smallest rooms ever, hardly room to move, and the shower was made for very small people, we all came away with bruises due to the room. The only good thing about the hotel was the location, it was close the the main centre of Milan.

This hotel is very good. We stayed there one weekend and it was very nice. The rooms are big, clean and the breakfast is also very good. You can find Cadornna Underground Station 5 minutes away, a tram stop just in front of the hotel... For what we paid I would not hesitate to come back or recommend this hotel.

Troppo poca privacy.

We ordered a junior suite and were told that it has three seperate bedrooms. Upon arrival we understood that the junior suite is just a double room with a third bed... after discussions with the staff we could change to three single rooms. The single rooms were extremely small and all of them were built along 2 elevator walls (all rooms endling on 16 i.e. 216, 316...) and were therefore quite noisy. Bottom line: Go for single rooms or double rooms - forget the suite. The staff is friendly and prices are OK, location is very good for sightseeing. Recommendations: Ristorante Brera (nearby - 4 minutes walk) and bar magenta.

The location is great. The rooms are a little on the small side and the beds aren't as soft as I'd like, but the location and the service made up for both of those. I'd easily stay here again. One tiny complaint: there was no clock in our room. We just got a wake up call from the front desk, so that wasn't a problem, it was just sort of unusual.

Well maintained comfortable clean rooms in a great location in central Milan. It is close to the main tourist destinations and there are plenty of restaurants and shops around. On the negative side rooms are not big and walls are a bit thin but nothing that bothered me much. Great choice. Good value for money as for Milan. I will certainly go back if I return to Milan.

The rooms are very impressive and the breakfast buffet was really great. the server, Felie, so nice, we really have to give her a special mention. The only downside, which was so important since we had so many reservations to make, was that you had to pay for internet service. The location near the Cadorna station was so convenient. When we asked them as to how EXACTLY to get to the hotel from the station, all they said was that it was near. Maybe next time, a more detailed instruction can be given to the guests. We went around and around and no one knew about the hotel. Oh well.

On arrival at the hotel around mid-day there was a plumbing problem with the room that I was to be assigned. The desk clerk and I exchanged cell phone numbers and a few hours later he called and said that they found me a room at the hotel. When I returned I found that I had been assigned a very nice room and I was very pleased with my night at the hotel.

I'd booked two separate stays on adjacent nights (don't ask!) for a single room. I got given a large double for both nights, with a balcony that looked onto the street. Fantastic! I didn't eat there, so can't comment on the breakfast. Like many others, I'd picked the hotel because it was very convenient for the Cordona train station, for the airport train. It also turned out to be right next door to the Archeological museum - a small, under-appreciated marvel. And convenient for metro, trams, and within walking distance of some good restaurants (I can particularly recommend Artidoro). At 90EUR/night, excellent value; at 130EUR/nite, quite good. Definitely a place to go back to.

My single room had a single bed, so it was a true single room, not double for price of single. The shower delivered only piping hot water except if I forced the knob past the minimum temperature. Staff speak some English, but not all of them know any. Breakfast buffet very good.

We were only able to stay one night at this property. We found it convenient enough to walk to the Duomo and nearby shopping and sights. The hotel staff's recommendation for restaurants were superb. the staff was efficient and service-oriented. the breakfast is quite a spread...and therefore quite busy...but good. The staff aranged transportation to the airport for us, etc. I do not think it had the charm, say, of some of the small family-owned places we had stayed in Italy, but it does not pretned to be such. This is more of a business type of hotel with a kind of old school opulence.

As this visit related to my wife's 50th birthday we looked for a special hotel near the transport and city centre. We also looked for a superior typeroom. All this was fulfilled by the King Hotel. I stayed for less than 24 hours and basically just chose the hotel for its proximity to the Cadorna train station (and train to Malpensa Airport). The room was on the small side, but was very comfortable and clean. There is really not much to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but the Duomo is walking distance and so is the Cadorna station and subway stop.

We would stay at the King Mokinba hotel again. It was located centrally for walking and public transportation - except at night. The problem wasn't the hotel but the environs of the Cadorna station, which housed all the homeless people and drunks. There is a taxi station there - I suggest you use it as I did with my daughter when we arrived at 23:00. The 7 euros you spend will be worthwhile. Also, if you're planning to go to the opera at La Scala (as we did), don't plan to do it on foot. Too difficult in heels and you'll get there all sweaty. Use a taxi for that, too. Right outside the hotel is a tobacco stand where you can buy a day ticket ("giornalieri")for all forms of public transportation. You stamp it only once when you get on, and then it's good for 24 hrs. We used it like crazy.

Location is excellent. Corsa Magenta is one of the exclusive streets of Milan. About 2 blocks from the Cadorna Railway Station. Very close to the Duomo, La Scala, Castello, Santa Della Grazie and the shopping areas . Two frequent trams (#16 and #19) run right in front of the hotel that goes to the Duomo and all central areas. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was excellent. The front desk could have been more hospitable (a little dour) and the rooms were very small but functional. Very easy access from Malpensa Airport taking the Malpensa Express train to Cadorna Station and walking from there.

I was really unimpressed with the reception who did not make us feel welcome. When asked for a map of the area, one was just thrown on the counter by the receptionist, with no effort to help us find where we wanted to go. Room was too small and I could not put my luggage on the floor, otherwise there was no walking space.

Excellent hotel: cosy decor, comfortable rooms, impressive choice for breakfast, a short walk to the Duomo/centre, a definite value for money if booked through venere (and not directly with the hotel) and overall a very pleasant stay. However, one negative comment is the front desk staff, all 3 of whom we dealt with were absolutely clueless about any happenings in the city, or where to get information, or what tram to take to e.g. Navigli, or about city pollution charge (for cars), etc. Basically, all questions we asked were answered with "don’t know". Moreover, the front desk staff was verging on being rude, i.e. talking to you while leafing through some paperwork or staring into computer, and ignoring you until you actually call for their attention. A bit more manners training is required for a 4 star hotel standard.

Perfect location within a walking distance to the Duomo and the centre of Milan of approx. 10 minutes. Of course the Corso Magenta is a little noisy because of the heavy traffic, but no big problem. The cleanliness of the room was top of the pops, the staff very competent except for a slight mishap on our last day when we were asked to change rooms because of some problems with the bathroom (problems we never discovered). The changing of rooms was later cancelled but nevertheless we had to pack our belongings before the staff called the whole thing off. We can highly recommend King Mokinba at Corso Magenta. The price is really a bargain for a hotel of this quality.

The hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants and train station. The reception is not very welcoming, they are rather abrupt, but I have to say that when I ask for a quiet room they did not hesitate and gave me a great room on the back of the building-not the greatest view- but very quiet and spacious. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a friendly "barista" making delicious cappuccinos always with a smile not matter how busy she was. Went to Milan for a performance at La Scala and stayed 4 nights. I would consider staying again the next time I am in Milan.

The hotel itself was not bad. The rooms were nice, as were the common areas and it is a short walk to the historic sights. However, the staff was AWFUL! Checking in they were not bad, but after that they were horrible - not helpful and actually lied to both me and my friend. They have a shuttle that will take you to the airport for almost DOUBLE what a taxi charges, but they tell you it is the same price. Plus, we were both quoted 2 different prices by different employees. Very rude and unfriendly.

Although the room was not so big, it was very clean, in a street very accessible to everything. We had a window facing the street, which we opened and could see the Duomo (fantistic view, impressive). The staff was very friendly and resourceful. Breakfast had a variety of things to eat, fresh produts. The elevator is just for two (2). On our last day, we checked out and left our luggage and I felt secure and relaxed. When we came back they took us to the train station on a Mini Van they have for this purpose. I would definetely return to this hotel in Milan. We enjoyed our stay.

Good restaurants in the neighbourhood, but expensive due to location. That said, given that we got such a good deal on the hotel I can't really complain. Taxi from station was expensive as have to go right through the city centre to get there. Nice to stay in a different part of the city though, and great for getting around on foot once you are there. The hotel is good. Location is really good - walking distance to the center, very convinient that you can arrive to Malpensa airport, take a bus and you will come to the very center, 5 minutes walk (possible even with a 25kg suitcase) to the hotel. Really convinient. The reception is a little bit too slow and helpless, but overal if you have a good price, it is worth staying. The only trouble I had. My room was too close to the elevator, so I was listening to the sound of the lift all night long

This hotel was just what we needed after a busy schedule of travelling. The rooms are very nice; definitely renovated within the last 10 years. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great - all marble with tub/shower combo that was quite rejuvenating! The staff was helpful in assisting with our taxi and replenishing the breakfast. Breakfast was truly unforgettable; the best I've had (or as good as another 4-star hotel in Rome last year): cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, teas, coffees, juices...the hotel's photos do not deceive, and buffet style lets you eat as much as you want. Location is excellent, a short walk to the Duomo, and the room, although very small, had a terrific view of the palace across the street. We are very pleasure to stay at Hotel King Mokinba. We have been many times in Milano but Hotel King Mokinba will be our first choice for next times.Because it is very central (both historical and shopping centre),clean and employees are very helpfull and kind.Breakfast was very delicious and satisfied.Transportation from airport to the hotels was comfortable and organized well. And we visited Santa Maria della Grazie ( it was important to see 'L'Ultima Cena ' for us ) thanks to our hotel's good organization. We hope to visit your hotel as soon as possible.Thank you for everything.Best regards.

This hotel has the makings of a grand hotel, but the rooms need to be renovated. However, the location was unbeatable and the service polite and helpful. The price was right for what we received. Though, the parking was an additional 24 Euros.

I had stayed at this hotel two years ago when I flew into and out of Milan and wanted to see the highlights....this hotel was within walking distance of "The Last Supper", the cathedral and La Scala. I returned this time with friends who wanted to see the same things, and I was pleased with the King and its location from before.

No internet facility in rooms. Not so polite crew. Street side rooms are noisy.

Friendly staff, well located, excellent bed, good variaty at breakfast, very clean and newly decorated (though not my taste...). The problem is with dimensions:the standard room includes all the facilities, but it is small. The bathroom is nicely decorated but the door to the shower is only 40 cm wide! (see photo) So go on a diet before you take a shower - and enjoy yourself Overall: good value for price

Due to some mix-up the hotel did not reserve a room for my booking. This was frustrating as it took a long time to locate the hotel in the first place. However, the receptionist managed to re-book at another hotel in the chain - same price and room quality etc.

This is the most expensive, but unfortunately the least attractive hotel we stayed in Italy. The room is just a normal hotel room, nothing special. The breakfast buffet is wonderful though. We like the breakfast very much.

The Hotel is in the city center of Milan, very close to the Dohm and to the station of Cadorna. I chose this place for the price for a single room (€ 85) that for a 4 stars hotel in the city center was the best one in this period in Milan. The employees are very nice and competent but the room was very, very small. The toilette seemed the one of the house of Renato Pozzetto in "Lascio la campagna, vado a vivere in città". There was no enought space. The hotel provides also a taxi service, this is good if you are in hurry and have no time to wait a taxi but too much expensive. I don't know about the meals as i woke up late in the morning. Also on the invoice, in my opinion, they were not correct as they charged IVA on the price agreeded, so that from € 85 i paid € 102. It's not foult of the employees but of the rules of the Hotel. Next time i'll not move there again, unless the prices of the other hotels are higher.

clean and spacious rooms but be sure that you will be waken up by 8am latest because of the traffic in front of the hotel.Very nice location.

Noisy air conditioning was a problem at night. Hotel is convenient for centre 15 mins walk and la Scala, which is why we were there. Couple of reasonable restaurants/bars nearby. Breakfast room rather busy/crowded with staff anxious to move you on if possible. They do have a shower/toilet room you can use to freshen up if you're there after you've checked out.

Certainly for our purpose, the King Hotel in Milan was nearly perfect. It is an easy stroll to the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorie Emanuel II, and around the corner from the Malpensa Express train station for those flying out of Milan. Shortcomings? Only the apparent lack of good restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. I would definitely return to that hotel for any future visits to Milan.

we spent two nights at the King Mokinba - lovely staff and very helpful. Good location, within easy reach of all the main sights. Lifts are tiny but overall a very nice place to stay.

Great location very near train station to Malpesa Airport. Even though I had a room not facing the main street, it still was somewhat noisy. I would prefer if the A/C was working, so I could have slepted a little better. Room is what I expected for European standards; small but well appointed.

I can really recommend this hotel for a short visit in Milano. It is very centrally located, in a good and nice surrounding, you reach the milano cathedral in 7 minutes by feet and also al the shopping areas. Except the welcoming, which was not very warmth, the service is also adequate. There is a very big and various breakfast-buffet, you get even fresh squeezed orange juice, a variety of italiena cheese and and and, just great for this price! the rooms are very nice, some even with little balconery, Although they are quite small, its enough for a city trip. Overall i can really recommend this hotel! For this price a bargain!
