Hotel centrally located. Bed had bugs in it. Receptionist (Ahmed) accused us of bringing in the bugs by way of bringing fruit in the room. Firstly not only did we not bring in any fruit in the room (there were at least 100 bugs in the bed which would've made this a MASSIVE piece of fruit). Secondly he was very rude and did not accept that it was the hotel's fault that the bed was full of bugs. VERU UNREASONABLE!!

The room was of equivalent standard to IBIS or Travelodge at 3 times the price. We had a ground floor room which had virtually no natural light. Breakfast was poor. The location is excellent however.

Our 2nd floor room was very comfortable and quiet, with adequate space to access our luggage. We looked out over an interior courtyard with an apricot tree almost in reach. The staff were very helpful -- we received two outstanding restaurant recommendations from them. The breakfast buffet is ample with a great deal of variety. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10 minute walk (if that) to Piazza Duomo and very close to the Missori metro stop. We were very pleased with our experience at Hotel Zurigo and would recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and efficiency in Milano.

We stayed at Zurigo from 21 to 24 May 2009 in room 23, triple room. The room is for 2 peopole, made forcibly for 3 people, so it was difficult to move around and open the suitecases! But ok since most of the time we were not at the hotel. Bathroom was clean with a tub, shower. The breakfast had enough varieties; coffee, tea, croissants, other breads, ham, bacon, salami, egg, fruits, yogurt, plume etc. The receptionists were mostly ok, but the information they gave me was not so correct,( like, Saturday the banks were closed but I was told the banks were open till 4pm. Also, we searched the restaurant they recommended, but there was no such restaurant there.) There was almost no restaurat, shops near the hotel. You have to walk for some distance for even buying a bottle of water. Duomo is in walking distance, but we used to take Metro, (the station is 2 minutes walk from the hotel) since 15-20 mins walk is sometimes diffucult when tired.)The Metro ticket for 24 hours is 3 euro. You can use Metro, tram, bus as many times as you want within 24 hours. Overall stay at the hotel was tolerable, but in Milano ( 2nd time for me ) you quite often feel cheated at restaurants etc since their prices are inflated for tourists.

This was an absolutely excellent hotel in every respect. I will definitely choose it for my next stay in Milan, and will whole-heartedly recommend it to friends - in fact, I already have! The restaurant nearby which was recommended by hotel staff, the Calabrone, was also excellent.

I'd been to Milan on a boys holiday last year and stayed at the Zurigo. I enjoyed everything about the hotel and wanted to bring my wife this year to show how good this place really was. We weren't disappointed and the hotel's position being so close to the Duomo, shops and the canals when taken together with the general high standard of the hotel and staff ensured we had a great time.We will certainly be staying at this hotel on our next visit to this lovely city.

un albergo molto piacevole, a dimensione umana, molto ''design'' ma senza eccessi, grande gentilezza del personale e posizione eccellente a due passi dal duomo. Breakfast abbondante e variato.

It was last minute decision to visit Milan and were lucky to find this nice small hotel with a great location, warm and professional staff and a great bartender. He makes the best margarita I've had in Europe! Our room was small but very clean and completely satisfactory for our short stay. This hotel has a great location near the Duomo. A good value for the money.

Está muy bien situado, a cinco minutos andando del duomo. Lo complicado es llegar en coche y el parking, bastante caro (28€/dia). El hotel está limpio y cómodo.

Great location! The hotel was clean, quiet, breakfast good and within walking or subway to all sites in Milan. Personnel were not overly friendly but were nice enough and were helpful most of the time. The price was excellent for central Milan. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Most of the staff was friendly and warm. One desk manager was rather abrupt, but the others were fine. The location is great. It would be nice to have a list of recommended restaurants and their hours. The map and newspapers provided by the hotel were nice to have. The beds, frankly, were really hard, but the room was spotlessly clean and the bath facilities were excellent.

The hotel is nicely located. The premises were very modern and clean. We had a spacious and light room for 3 at the top floor, it even had a separate closet. My only complain was that the confirmation message I got from Venere.com stated that Internet connection was included in the price, but this turned out not to be true. The hotel had changed its policies for some time, but somehow this never got reflected in Venere's database. Nevertheless, its facilities were first rate. The breakfast was ok, but not stelar.

Terrific service, nice hotel, good location. On the plus side, the front desk gave us a great restaurant recommendation that was open late; on the negative side, as we were leaving, the front desk man said he preferred the upstairs rooms, they were "nicer" (if only he'd told us upon arrival). We also learned - at 3 AM - that until the air conditioning is turned on for the entire hotel, the room unit pushes out higher or lower levels of heat - there is no cool air, despite the "snowflakes" on the control panel. Small room but clever furniture design to maximize stowage, but not a space you'd want to hang out in. Part of the Brera chain in Milan.

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was close to Duomo and shopping. The lobby had free internet or you could use your wireless laptop for free. Great snacks were put out for happy hour. I would definately stay again. You can't beat the price.

The Hotel is only a few blocks from the amazing duomo. The front desk recommended Calabrone, an excellent restaurant within a couple of blocks that serves until late. I chose this hotel as our stopping off point to fly home out of Malpensa, unfortunately, it's about an hour from the airport and is not close to the main train station. Poor planning on my part.

Lo mejor del hotel es la situación (a 5 min. andando del Duomo) y la limpieza. Lo peor, el tamaño de las habitaciones, pero las ventajas superan con mucho a los inconvenientes. Servicio muy atento. Recomendable.

Reasonable value for money. The only problem is that the walls seem to be too thin, so one can inadvertently hear his neighbors using the bathroom :) Other than that, rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent.

Hotel Zurigo is a neat and clean hotel. In my next stay at Milan, I would like to stay in this hotel. But I regret that a coffee at breakfast is only American type. I prefer an espresso coffee (Italian type) as well.

In comparison with my first stay, one and a half years ago, at the Hotel Zurigo, I found that the price almost doubled. This is not justified by a comparable improvement of the services offered by the hotel. In general, it is still a nice and comfortable hotel conveniently located to down town Milan and well served by public transportation. However, the service was not outstanding. My major criticism concerns breakfast. This is supposed to be buffet breakfast from 7.30 through 10.30 am, but if you are not quick enough you don't find the same variety of items available early in the morning. Sometimes they even ran out of bread, cheese and ham!

Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were very clean, with good sized bathrooms as well as providing all the necessaties from shoe polish to shower caps! I can only recommend that you don't join breakfast too late as you'll miss out on all the goodies.
