The hotel is in a very good location, very close to a bus stop (with direct buses to the Duomo and Castelo) and tram (this is a direct tram to the Central station). In other words the location of the hotel is just perfect. very quite and nice area, the staff are very very polite, we were really impressed. on the 5 floor there are big balconies which is great if you stay there over the summer:) ; on the second floor the rooms are bigger but without balcony, but the rooms are very good. The breakfast was nice. So we had a perfect holidays.

VERY noisy in rooms. Don't stay here if you want to sleep or relax in your room after being out all day and evening. Can hear everyone in every room, Next door, even upstairs and in foyer, everywhere. Good location, trams and buses only 5 mins walk away, and they go into centre only takes 10minutes. To far to walk to centre but public transport is cheap. €4.50 24hour pass for bus, tram and train. Grocery store in same street for snacks, no cooking facilities in room, tea or coffee in room either. Breakfast was average, cereal, ham, salami, cheese, cake, beverages. Overall hotel is only OK. would not stay again as to noisy. Didn't get any sleep.

The rooms and the location of the hotel is ok. The breakfeast have a poor selection but the items available are really tasty. The free wi-fi is fast. There are however some major downsides. The reception is really unfriendly and gave wrong/misleading directions several times, both to me and my colleagues. There is almost no insulation between the rooms, you can hear everything that happens next door and the showers barely have any hot water.

It was a fairly nice hotel for its price. However a couple of things certainly needs to be refurbished - we had a socket which was about to fall off so we had to make do with the one in the toilet! Bonus for having good free wifi!

The hotel was convenient to bus and tram stops. We enjoyed the breakfast selections of cereal, yogurt, toast, croissants and slices of ham and cheese. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and accomodating. The bathroom was very clean in the room and having a hairdryer was a plus. We thought the hotel was a great deal for the money and was just about an 8 minute taxi ride from the Central train station.

The location is a bit out of the way, but is a quiet (except for the construction going on outside) and safe neighborhood which is why I chose this hotel. The room is small but comfortable and in decent shape except for the shower head fixture that was partly broken and low water pressure. I didn't bother with breakfast when the receptionist told me it was 7 euro (or 10, I don't remember which). The price is just a bit more than the poorer quality places near Stazione Centrale and so much better. And... their wireless internet is free!

The staff at Zefiro was very welcoming and helpful with our requests. The room was small for a three star hotel, but the special price, larger bathroom and lift made it a great value for my older mother. What I liked was the downstairs lounge where I could work late at night without disturbing my mother. They had an excellent high speed wifi connection. What was not as comfortable was the distance to the center of town. There were not many restaurants in the area, and the trolley was a bumpy ride. Later, I figured out the bus system and this was much better. I would recommend Zefiro for younger or more agile travelers looking for a good value and a friendly staff.

The hotel is very welcoming and clean. There was quite a lot of noise during the day as they were doing some work in the hotel,(running water) and the first night I could hear the TV nextdoor,(which is on the wall directly above the next rooms bed) until 3.40 in the morning. Definately well worth the money though and easy to get to by tram in the daytime (last tram leaves Milan centre at about 1.00am)

(italiano sotto) Everything we pretty much as advertised, except that early in the morning, or very late at night, there was a bunch of noise from other guests, and, the matress was hard, which caused my hips and my girlfriend's shoulders to hurt. Location is ok, but it takes a while to get to/from the city center.

Not many landmarks close to Zefiro, but it is well connected to the Milano Central and Duomo - the two main tourist transit points/ destinations. For Milano Central you get a tram just across the Piazza near the hotel. For Duomo just get onto bus 54 from the bus stop two blocks away from the hotel. Zefiro is located in a quiet residential area so it doesn't have a happening nightlife around. There is an excellent lebanese/ arabian restaurant near the hotel, try out their wraps and kebabs. It is a tiny place, but very delicious food. I would recommend the hotel for budget travellers and overnighters only. The breakfast is not great and not sumptuous at all, so if it is not included in the price of the room, don't pay extra for it...there are numerous better options outside.

I was looking for a place to sleep at a reasonable price next to the university. The price was good, the room tiny, bathroom fine and clean. The only issue was some noise. Although it was next to elevators well isolated that way. But I could hear the TV from the neighbour.

Strange hotel rooms. Gun metal grey metal furnature in the rooms. No pictures just a LCD TV on the wall. arge room and big bed but no real charachter to the rooms. Bar only served Sambuca and Lager...! Nothing much else to do in the hote. Breakfast fairly standard. Great buss route from near the holtel... The 54 takes you right into town.

A wonderful stay, the local transport links were perfect, the staff were more than welcoming and extremely courteous. We just planned a short stay, and this hotel was just what we wanted. The breakfast was spot on, what I would expect from a Italian hotel and was constantly being supplied. When leaving the staff asked what had been consumed from the mini bar, It was nice to be trusted, and that they had not been keeping a close eye on the bar. Many thanks to the Hotel Zefiro.

Very pleased with this hotel and its location. My parents and I had a triple share room (double and single bed) and had plenty of space remaining, also had a refrigerator in the room. We were on the first floor. The room was very clean including bathroom. Floors are serviced by lifts. Very good breakfast included in the tariff. Hotel is used by business travellers. The hotel is ideally located with tram, bus and Metro access. We used the trams and buses to and from the hotel into the city. Be sure to get a 'Zefiro' map from reception which shows the particular bus numbers, tram numbers and their locations which support the hotel; these routes all lead into the city itself. For instance, Tram #5 goes past Stazione Centrale di Milan and appears to be a very handy route, crossing Corso Buenos Aires and a number of main thoroughfares. I chose the hotel based on the reviews on Venere's website and found the hotel's information accurate.I would have no hesitation staying at the hotel again, including as a solo female traveller. We travelled to the hotel from Linate Airport by taxi; approx. Euro 11. We did experience some noise from the street below in the evening - not from passers by but we think from hotel guests outside smoking and talking at the front entrance. Traffic noise was not a problem. Very enjoyable stay.

Hotel was alittle hard to find. Not real close to the center of town, but we stayed there because there was a furniture convention and prices were thru the roof. The staff was not at all friendly. You are not allowed to leave the hotel with your room key (had to leave it at the front desk). Room was clean but looked like a hospital room, very sterile. Had to use the key to lock the door from the inside! Location was quiet and seemed safe enough. Only stayed for one night 'cause the price was right and leaving the next day, but we will not return.

Accommodation was difficult to obtain in Milan thanks to the furniture exhibition, so this hotel was not our first choice. Overall, we thought it was clean but poor value for what we got. Of 60’s construction, the noise levels between rooms were unacceptable. Also it had the smallest bathroom I have seen in Italy – very cramped and uncomfortable. Bar fridge and telephone provided. We had an a/c unit in our very small double room (I am sure it was a single with a double bed squeezed in) which didn't look as if it was functioning – I imagine it would be bad room to be in during the hot Milan summer! The area around was quite pleasant with a very nice café opposite. Access to the No 5 Tram (a few stops away from the central station) was as good as advertised. It’s the sort of place that does the job – just - but we won’t be booking there again.

Our stay was very good. The room was quiet and clean, location is nice - 15 minutes from the center on a tram and subway. The only thing I did not like was breakfast, I thought it was pretty mediocre for the money. Still, this hotel is a real bargain, I highly recommend it to people on a budget.

Had difficulty finding the hotel at first as taxi's were on strike and I had communication problems with the staff member trying to give us directions. Tram No 5 to Ferravilla if anyone wants to know. Once I got to the hotel was delighted by the cleanliness of the hotel and especially the rooms. Single ensuite had more than enough room for any traveller. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Milan, extremely affordable hotel.Staff extremely helpful and friendly, cleaning service better than most 4 star hotels I've stayed at.

Stayed at the hotel two separate times. Friendly and helpful staff. Normal size of rooms. Overall a good hotel in a very quiet area. We had some difficulties in finding the little street where the hotel is situated. Even our taxi driver had some problems to find the hotel when we arrived the first time. Room was small but clean and comfortable with an excellent balcony (which did need cleaned though). Room had no tea/coffee making facilities. TV reception was poor and there was no radio. There was no tourist info on display in reception. There appeared to be a dining area but no obvious menu either in the room or in reception. Ditto the bar, if that is what it was. Definitely overpriced.

This is a nice hotel--however, it is quite a distance from the tourist sites. We had to take a bus to get everywhere. Taxi from the train station is about $10 with bags. I was under the impression it was closer to the sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. The decor could use an update. However, it was in a safe place with a supermarket nearby. Once you got the hang of the buses and trams, it was okay.
