Nice little hotel. We had not the precaution to find out before we arrive and there was no lift and our room was in a second floor(there are four in total). The rooms were clean but quite spartan. But it was a very nice price to be well situated in Milan

Basic but perfectly adequate hotel really close to metro for easy access to centre and around town. Quiet location. Decent place to get your head down - good if you're not expecting the hotel to be any part of your holiday 'experience' and you don't want your budget eaten up by the accommodation costs. Good value for money. Only downside is two or three flights of stairs after a long day traipsing the streets but that's not much of a downside. Would recommend.

I have a suggestion to make: I think Venere should make clear when a property has no lift! My mother is elderly an it was quite hard to climb stairs with her. Besides, the bathroom was horrible, it got soaked every time we had a shower, the breakfast was poor, TV ( in Italian only) wasn't working well. Overall I was not very satisfied, it is a shame because otherwise the hotel is OK, good location, but needs a bit of updating. I have stayed in cheaper and better places than this.

Very helpful staff.Thats where it ends . Starts with a climb with your luggage to 3rd floor (no Lift). room floor broken - bathroom broken tiles -small tv with hardly anything coming - no ac but if you keep window open lot of mosquitoes - rickety beds absolutely nothing else in the room .The building shakes and the breakfast consists of croissant and coffee . But once again very helpful staff and gives you proper guidance. 5 minutes by cab from station charges 5 euros .Feel the place is okay for hitch hikers though you can et better deals - a strong no for families. There is good supermarket very close .

This Hotel cannot be recommended in anyway. Rooms are old, very bad state, lots of broken facility, leaking in the heating systems, bed are hopeless and probably from another century, cleanliness could clearly be questioned, pictures are not representative at all of the reality, personel not welcoming.... Very poor performance. 3 stars for that is just a joke ! May not use your service any more. regards

The Faulty Towers of Milan - only Basil was missing. Disgusting standard of maintenance, no elevator, no tourist info for non-Italians. Rooms were mosquito infested crap inhabited by fittings that fell off the walls, bathroom fans that sounded like 747's and could not be turned off, bathroom floors where daily flooding was de rigour all coupled together with 1 watt lighting: GREAT!!!. Stay here if you're a masochist.2 Star - Bollocks!!!!!!

The room was a bit noisy due to construction outside the window. We had a problem with mosquitos in the room, even with the windows closed. We would wake up with bites on our skin and fat, happy mosquitos sitting on the walls. There is no lift and it is quite a trudge up four flights of stairs at the end of a long day of touring.

The bathroom stunk of urine when taking a shower. We did not get sleep for two days because of noise coming from either the hotel, or from neighbours (we couldn't figure it out). When I went downstairs to complain, I was told by the manager that he was not concerned with my problem. The same manager did not offer to help us up the 3 flights of stairs with our luggage, and we were 2 women travelling with 3 children. We ended up checking out a day early so we could get some sleep

We spent one night at this hotel, and that was really enough. It was hard to find there (underground station was near, that was good), and no-one offered to help us to carry our two big and heavy luggage in narrow stairway to the third floor (first floor seemed to be the 0 floor, so actually 4th floor), no elevator in the hotel. Torture for light sleepers, traffic noise is very loud 24 hours a day. Breakfast was okay, not variable but very standard for a price like that. Room was very hot in mid-July, automatic heating on and no air-com, so if you needed fresh air the only thing you could do was open the window and just deal with the traffic noise. One night, two at maximum can be spent there, so for stop-by visitors this is okay.

The hotel is quite well and central located and that was the most important thing for us. There are even some very good cocktails bars (e.g. in Via Monte Grappa) to go to in the evenings (only a 5-minutes walk). Supermarket is close to the hotel. Rooms and breakfast are simple and more or less clean. The bathroom is according to the Italian standard (after taking a shower, the whole floor is wet), but you just have to look over it. There were some small claims: the door makes noises when you open it and you hear the people from the neighbour-rooms when they are speaking. No lift! You are not allowed to smoke, but that is according to the new law. On TV only Italian Channels available.

The stuff was REALLY rude. I asked for directions from the station and the answer was "Sir you get a taxi, you get here. Oderwise you get around city all day."! The room was small and the bathroom had fungus on the ceiling and walls. You can imagine how bad the smell was. And of course breakfast is not included-and believe me, 6€ for this poor breakfast are waaay too much.

We stayed here in 2003. The hotel itself is in a very nice area, close to the Brera (lots of bars, cafes, shops). We would recommend anyone to stay here because the staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms are basic, but for the price we paid, more than adequate. The only disadvantage of this location is trying to get a cab at 6 am to Malpensa (forgot to book in advance) and as a result missed our flight. Probably we would stay near central station or the cathedral to ensure availability of transport.

Very very Good. Perfetto!

The room was not bad. Had all the basics, closet and desk. Minus; you couldn't turn on the radiator in the room. Breakfast was very basic. White rools with cheese (which was not all that good) or jam, or corn flakes. And you got a croissant. Guess it was quite a normal European breakfast, but less substantial than a typical Northern Europaen breakfast. Alltogether- for the price range, I would recommend it, and probably go back.

We were very unhappy with this hotel. While it was not dirty, it was very tired. In one of our rooms, the TV (such as it was) did not work. In the room, the door knob fell off when you closed the door. The desk staff was not particularly helpful. Also, there was not an elevator and no one helped us to carry out bags to our room. While we will travel back to Milan, we would never again stay in this hotel.

I have no problem with simple or minimal accomodations, but this hotel did not seem to even make an effort at providing quality service. The room was not particularly clean upon my arrival- in fact, paint was continually peeling off the ceiling where there was an obvious water problem. There was no elevator, but instead 2 very long staircases that I had to haul my luggage up in order to reach my room. The only good thing about this place was that they let me store my luggage for the day after checking out. This hotel seemed more like a bad hostel, yet it charged the price of a 3star hotel. It was very disappointing after having come from another hotel in the area that was less expensive and much nicer.

I was looking forward to a lovely stay in this hotel. I had read pretty good reviews on it, before booking it. I was obviously mistaken. My friend and myself were off to Milan for my 21st birthday, really excited!. Milan is a fantastic city, but I wouldn't advise people to stay in this hotel. We got woken up about 7:00am every morning with loads of noise going on just outside our room and outside the hotel. The view from the room was crap!, the room itself was a shambles. We got locked in our room for ages, because the door handle had completely broke!. The bathroom was disgusting with no shower curtain and a very noisy fan came on, everytime we put the light on. After the first night of noise early in the morning which we didn't complain about, it came to the second morning and we were completely cheesed off!. We phoned reception and told them exactly what we thought. They suggested we could move rooms. This room was in the same sort of condition, no toilet seat, no shower curtain, grime and dirt of the floor. But at least the noise early in the morning wasn't as bad because we were moved furthur along the corridor. We didn't bother getting up for breakfast most morning we were there, but on the last morning we decided to try it out!. Well we hadn't missed much at all!. A few cornflakes, packets of rock hard toast, and some pieces of coal! (crossiants)

The hotel was located in a good area of Milan near the central train station and within walking distance of the city centre and a supermarket on the corner. The room was basic but clean and spacious. The shared bathroom didnt have a shower curtain as others have said but it wasnt a problem as most of the water ends up going into the shower tray and there is also a drain in the floor to stop it getting too wet, the toilet has a seat now too! great location, but the walls are made out of paper - you hear absolutely everything that happens in the other rooms, not just the neighbouring ones. even the bidet (why a bidet when no toilet?) made a gurgling noise whenever other people used theirs! it's a shame, as the staff are sophisticated and nice, and the location is great. only for the very hard of hearing who don't care too much about bathroom arrangements.

I cannot possibly recommend this hotel for anyone who is not very hard of hearing or in the possession of industrial-strength earplugs! The concierge is terribly polite and sophisticated, the room looks OK, but you can hear absolutely everything from ALL the other rooms, not just the neighbouring ones! The walls are like paper. And the bathroom is almost as bad, the only shower is next to the only toilet, so there is mud everywhere from people going in in shoes. I don't understand why they don't improve this hotel - it is in a great location and the staff are real gentlemen. But I am glad I only had to stay the one night.

There seemed to be a wide difference in attitudes between the members of staff. On checking in without any reason being given we were warned we had one chance to misbehave and we would be thrown out.
