It was a pleasure to stay in Hotel Soperga, it was close to the Central Train Station and also to the underground. The place is very quiet and the quality of service is great

This is a good hotel for the price. Too compact a room is the only -ve. Good quality of linen and the washing. Good quality breakfast. Better quality of toiletories can add to the utility of the hotel.

Stayed for three nights at the Hotel Soperga very welcoming hotel with a great choice at breakfast, staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Location within walking distance of the centre of Milan and close to rail station, and as we were going on to Verona it made it an ideal place to stay.

I found the hotel quite nice and comfortable and the breakfast buffet excellent (tasty and varied), the only bad point are the surroundings, since it is very near to the Railstation and, like in fast any big city, that are is always a conflictive and little depressed area. Anyway I would book this hotel again!

We booked a double & triple room, to accomodate a family of five. It was hard to warm to the main man on front desk. We stayed twice. First time, we had rooms which were spacious and renovated. Second stay, we asked to move because of an awful smell. Room were far more "tired". Location very easy for train travel from Milano Centrale.

This was our second stay at Soperga - we stayed last year also over Xmas, during which time a gold bracelet went missing. Although the hotel staff were not so helpful over this, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to stay again this year. Not such a good idea. On our first morning, we were woken at the crack of dawn by a thunderous noise which turned out to be the shower from next door. The reception said that the occupants were up early for business, as if this was an excuse for the poor sound isolation, and gave us another room. Although this was slightly better, we suffered further noise from the room above, and rude service from the reception and in general the stay was not so pleasant. Rooms are OK though, if you have good ear muffs. Also, be aware that the surrounding area is a thieves paradise - chain your handbag/ wallets to your neck if you want to hang on to them.

We chose the Soperga for its low price, proximity to the train station and airport shuttle, and early start time for breakfast, since we were spending just one night before flying back to the U.S. the next morning. The room was small and fairly shabby, but adequate--and quiet. One pleasant surprise was the relatively bountiful breakfast buffet.

The hotel is very convenient for those who travel to and from the central station of Milan. The room we were given was facing the courtyard, therefore it is quite quiet. Staff are friendly. For eating out, there are plenty of choices within 15 minutes' walk. There is no English TV channel in its rooms. For a hotel that caters for international travellers, I think a BBC or CNN is a must.

The Hotel doesn't have an internet station and this can be a problem. It would be sufficient to have one computer with free access that could be used by all guests placed in the reception area. The Hotel Soperga is located very close to the train station and this is useful if you're on a short stay. The rooms are clean and that is very important. Overall, a reasonably priced hotel in convenient surroundings.

I would recommend this hotel for its close proximity to the main central station which is where you pick up your airport transfer from. Our room was a little small and dark and in need of a bit of decorating. The beds were very narrow too. However breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful and informative. There is not much to do though in the area around this hotel so travelling to the main sites will involve a short tram or metro ride.

This was the first time I stayed at Hotel Soperga. The room was clean and nicely kept, though a little small. The location is extremely convenient. It is just 3 blocks from the train station, which is where the Malpensa bus lets you off too. It is a nice jumping off point for day trips for the same reason. There is a very good, very reasonably priced restaurant just one block away. Metro is convenient for getting downtown.

Within walking distance from Milan Centrale Station. Excellent breakfast included. Only complaint is bathroom; there was mildew/mold growing in the corner up to the ceiling, and the shower nozzle is such that it caused the bathroom floor to get covered when using the shower. The room was tiny but had everything I needed, including a TV. The shower was small but worked well and I have known smaller. Yes, you could put your chin in the sink while sitting on the toilet and the walls are a little thin. Don't forget your earplugs, as I did. Everything was spotless. Very convenient for the station and with a great, reasonably priced restaurant just 30 metres away as recommended by the friendly barman. For the price, I highly recommend it.

The hotel Soperga was a perfect choice for us travelling in Milan on a budget. Located near the main train station it was easy to get to. A little longer walk was required to the Metro station, and the walk back to the hotel from the Metro in the evening was a little "iffy" (dark and not the best area) but we had no trouble in the end. The breakfast provided was more than adequate and included cereal, yogurt, fruit, sliced meats and cheeses, croissants and of course those awful Italian white buns that you can take someone's eye out with. And coffee, tea, hot choclate. We didn't go hungry here! Its certainly not a 4 star hotel, but we would go back if ever in Milan again.

Our stay was good, but hotel is not suitable for small children...there was not a children chair in the restaurant, it was not possible to get with the children buggy into a lift, not even into a room (too narrov doors). But on the other hand, personel in recepcion and specially in the restaurant was very nice and friendly. Soperga is a descent value for money. We have been there in midsummer and what was killing us was the idiotic rule for switching AC off at night - it was becomming so unbearably hot while at the same time AC was switched on at 07.30 in the morning and was keeping temperature normal all day - i.e. when a normal tourist is typically not there. Crazy!!! We have asked and argued about that several times but received one and only answer - "this is how we proceed!". Otherwise the property is close to the Centralle Railway station but pretty far from its centrall entrance - be prepared to walk some 10 minutes there and - be sure to check the other surrounding metro stations - there are two which appear closer than the main cross at Centrale plaza. Breakfast was real good and THE COFFEE WAS JUST FANTASTIC.Staf was helpful, english they speak at therecption desk, however varies from poor to excelent. Parking offered on the side will cost you some 30 euros per day and parking close to the hotel on the sidewalk or in the street is a matter of luck - try late at night.General overview for Soperga - good but there are better for this price and at better locations very close by.

Given our need for accomodations near the train station, Milano Centrale, the hotel was well suited. The rooms are modest and reasonable value for the price quoted. Only complaint was that one of the rooms we booked didn't have the phone that worked as we all needed a 5am wake up call--the front desk said they had fixed it, but alas, no call came when we needed to take the Malpensa Shuttle by 6:15am. One nice thing is the Ristorante Dinky around the corner the front desk recommended...really good food and personnel. Overall, Hotel Soperga is a place I would recommend for a few nights stay -- it is worth the price (69Euros) given the location (near the train station) and its modest ambiance.

If you need quick in and out access of Milan then this is your place. The hotel is walking distance from Central Station as well as the bus to the airport. The area is what you would expect from a small hotel blocks away from a huge train station. The neighborhood is dingy and smelly. But once inside the hotel you feel separated from that feeling. The hotel is clean but looks old. The carpet is worn and the comforter is something you throw on the floor upon arrival. But the room is CLEAN...but small. The breakfast is not the best (especially if you are expecting American breakfast)...but you do get a decent coffee. The worst thing is that the maids throw out what THEY think is trash. My fiance and I were carrying the bottle of wine that we drank on the night of our engagement. We set this upon the desk next to our bag of groceries. The cleaning service took it upon themselves to throw out the bottle. In short, good location to transportation (but not the sights); old but clean hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel! The surrounding area is a little sketchy at night because it is so close to the station, but no one really bothered us. The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The staff was relatively friendly, although they didn't go out of their way to be nice. The breakfast was substantial and the hotel itself is a very nice property. The breakfast area and sitting area in the lobby is lovely and it is really nice to have an elevator.

This is really a very good hotel. The room is clean. The staffs are helpful and kind. The breakfast is very good. We stayed at this hotel when we flew in Milan. We stayed here again before we flew back to US. The only thing you need to remember is to ask for rooms NOT facing the strees which are much quieter.

The Hotel Soperga was a nice hotel except for a couple of minor drawbacks. First, the breakfast didn't have enough items to choose from and second, the shower in our room didn't function properly. Other than those two drawbacks, the hotel Soperga was a nice place to stay.

Good value. Very clean. Friendly staff. Good, but not great breakfast. Convenient location. Room size is very small. No english language news on TV.

The room was terrible dark dingy and I was kept awake most of the night by the noise of running water. I thought at first it was the toilet, as it kept dripping, but it appeared to be in the wall. The foyer to the hotle is very pleasant. The Receptionist was not very friendly (but this could have been a language barrier?)

Hotel is absolutely fine - very near the station as stated. Not in the nicest area but if you only want a base it's not a problem. Just down the street and round the corner is a great little past/pizzeria place - nice food and great service. HOWEVER.... a couple of doors down is a place which looks very similar - BUT we went in for a drink and a menu check - 4 50+ people smartly dressed - the prices on the menu were absolutely extortionate! ... so we said we would just have the drinks - waiter threw our drinks against the wall!! (so he didn't get paid - though he would have done and expected to -without this behaviour!!) and then threw abuse at us as we walked down the street (in English involving F and C words!). We are all widely travelled and have never encountered anything like this!! Can't remember the exact name but it is something like Cavalino - avoid!!!
