It's really old. Half of staff on registration desk have no emotions at all (especially on day). Rooms are rare. Second coffee for breakfast - for extra.

Just few words to explain that i booked a twin room for my holidays in milan with my son who is a teenager....and my room was a little room very clean but with only one bed of 140cm...the surprise was not very kind ....and we have to spend our 3days in these conditions....not very funny. Near the hotel it must have an hospital with an emergency service ...and the first night was not quiet The breakfast were good and the hotel is only at 200 m from the metro and at 3stop to go to the duomo

We called in the middle of the nightat the receptionist, because the frige in the room was smelling to ammoniac .... the receptionist didn't answer the phone, I runned downstairs to find somebody... OK,they removed the fridge. But whole the hotel was smelling.... We hang out of our window during several hours. No spontaneous appologize, no talk about a possible other room, the owner, no personal communication... no

A small history, In the morning make sure you aren't hungry because the quantities of rolls, croissants.. offered are counted. Also make sure you don't need a second coffee because they'll charge you for this. And last but not least, the boss's wife forgot her smile at home I believe.. :) But Milan smiled at us and their food quality is excellent. (try the BICE restaurant Via Borgospesso, 12, 20121 Milano)

Compared to photographs shown on website our room was very different and much smaller, therefore not as we were expecting. Choice of breakfast on offer was very limited. Hotel location was very close to the metro so once mastering the system it was quick and easy to get to the centre and surrounding areas of Milan.

Usually when I search for a Hotel, I read reviews and check on several websites for information. I believe the people that give poor ratings a lot of the time tend to compare the hotel with a 5 star hotel. Well, sorry to tell you the truth, this is not a five star hotel. It is a three star and an EXCELLENT three star hotel. If you want five star quality then stay at a 5 star hotel. Yes, the bathroom was very small, but it was sufficient for a few days and it was CLEAN. Angelo at the front desk was really funny and helpful. The breakfast was a plus, then again not 5 star. The hotel is exactly as described and incredibly good value for money. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be staying there again in May. The reason for our trip was to listen to Angela Gheorghiu at La Scala and the Diva cancelled so the concert is postponed till May....

For Milan, the ratio price/quality is good! The room is small (specialy the bathroom) but from what I saw previous times I've been to Milan, it is better than other places, plus it is clean, breakfast is good and location super good! Close the windows to avoid noise! Also, mysuggestion is to check the parking price before talking to the hotel staff as I parked directly and payed 15euros instead of the 20 they were charging! Definatly recommend the place!

Room was extremely small, barely space for an open bag. Bathroom was impossible to even move in and we are both small people, but If we were large size people, it would not be possible to use this bathroom. Additionally, the shower and shower curtain were dirty. The bed was so old, it was concave and caused us both extreme back pain. There was only a very thin and ragged blanket, a sheet and a bed spread for warmth. The TV in the room was visible only from the far right side of the bed, so two people can not watch TV. This hotel might think about spending a little more money on the rooms, and keep their guests. We moved down the street, we were so uncomfortable!

First time visitors to Milan. It's not a charming neighborhood, but it's very convenient one, close to the metro at Pza. della Repubblica. Price reasonable for this expensive city. Clean and secure. Rooms are really tiny, but we didn't spend much time there. Breakfast is good, with croissants, cereal, yogurt, fruit, cappuccino, but the breakfast area is small. While the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning, it had not yet been turned on for the summer. With windows open at night, it was cool enough, but there was a lot of noise from the street.

What is good - it's close to metro (2 min), close to the center (15-20 min), lots of cafes and snack-bars around and shops for reasonable prices. The Hotel Sempione presents well with delightful marble entrance and the staff are most welcoming, the breakfast is substantial and included in the price. However our room (a twin) was very small and overlooked the airconditioning unit which was very noisy, as were other guests in the room below who were unfortunately Australian! The toilet seat had a large crack in it but when we said we thought they ought to know about it, it was soon replaced without further ado.The rooms were serviced everyday. We did have 3 nights/4 days in Milan and there is a facility at the hotel to leave luggage free of charge after check out if departure is late in the day.

Our room was very clean and well appointed as it appeared to have been recently renovated; however the room was really really small and the bathroom, though stylish, was also very small with a teeny tiny shower. There were two of us but the size of this room really more appropriate for a single traveller. The hotel is inside a nice-looking vintage building, but completely new renovation inside, perhaps a bit cold and sterile for my taste, but I know that this is the style nowadays. Overall not a bad hotel, but for the tiny rooms. Very convenient to the Repubblica Metro Station (500m more or less) and about a 15-min. walk from Milano Centrale RR Station.

Classical old style hotel with lots of rooms and located a few blocks from the train station, but far from Milan center. We spend here one night just to catch a flight so we looked for somewhere near the train station. The staff at the reception desk is kind enough, but won't help you with your bags. I was expecting that being a 3-star hotel (this is not a hostel or a pension). The room was very clean, with mini-bar and nice bathroom. Overall was good, but tiny. The double bed was too small for two persons to sleep in, and it was towards the wall, what made it even more difficult. We asked for wake-up service and a taxi at 6 am to go the the station. The hotel is conveniently located 10min away from the train station and 20 away from the city center. The rooms are OK for a stay where you spend the whole day outside and just care for a bed at tight. The rooms are clean. Not noisy. They are really tiny. The breakfast was poor.location great.

Small, clean, compact room. Good value for money. Ideal for short stay in Milan. Very convenient location. 2 minute walk to the nearest underground station, 10 minutes to the Central station and Corso Buenos Aires and 20/25 minutes to the dom. Night shop around the corner.

Great location and nice neighbourhood. Had triple room with 3 adults and enough room to be comfortable which was unlike other experiences in Europe. Room was clean and nice with window onto street. Restaurant downstairs was also nice. Very noisy neighbours and could hear actual conversations so must have been quite thin walls. Front desk was very efficient and capable but not very friendly. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend as a good option for others.

Didn't enjoy my stay due to the following reasons:- 1)reception personel were unfriendly 2)took sometime to find the hotel as we there were a few exits from the train station and underground 3)Need to open the windows as the air condition could not be turned on(not provided per hotel) 4)Bitten badly by mosquitos

I loved Hotel Sempione. It is very close to the train station and just a short metro ride to the Duomo and shopping. The rooms were clean and spacious. The rooms were soundproof and the staff was very helpful. I will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Slightly out of the centre (we reckoned 40 minutes walk to the Duomo, 55 to the castle) but plenty of trams and the metro, neither of which we got round to using because the walk was good. Very easy. Rooms small, but tidy and clean. Breakfast simple and nice. No problems with leaving luggage. Great value for money.

Very suitable for families spending a few days in the city. The public transport (underground to the center) is only 5 minutes from the entrance's door.

The hotel is located quite close to the central railwaystation and there are a metrostation (Republica) nearby. The area is OK, but not the most charming part of Milano. This is a good hotel for short visits. The rooms are clean and of good standard and the breakfast is OK. Because the area is rather dull and the hotel a bit impersonal I would recommend something else if you are planning on a longer stay. We only stayed one night on our way home, and for us the hotel served its purpose.

The hotel is near the train station, so it's perfect when you're travelling by train. It's also not that far from the center by walk (20 minutes) or by metro (10 minutes). The staff is ok but could be more welcoming. We lost our luggages at our arrival in Milano and the staff wasn't very helpful. Overall, it was a could place considering the price we paid!

The hotel is very well located, between Central Station and Piazza Duomo, both of which can be reached easily on foot or by metro or tram. The staff were efficient and friendly. Porto Venezia nearby had some nice restaurants or it's easy to get to Navigli by tram or metro if you want the buzz. My only quibble was noisy people in the halls early morning or late at night, but that's common to all hotels.

Very nice hotel at a very good price, location is great, just a short walk from an underground station which is only 3 stops away from the centre of Historical Milan and there are plenty of bars/restaurants just a short walk away. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and I would definately stay here again. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I could get a direct train to Malpensa airport from the same underground station that I had been using for the last few days.

No air conditioning during May. The little trouble is the noise from the road at nighttime. when we open the window for our ventilation.

The Hotel is very clean and renovated. THe staff is very helpful and courteous. The surrounding is very nice and safe. Many good restaurants in the area and close to a subway station. The continental breakfast was very good and copious. All in all we appreciated our stay at this hotel ...
