First time visitors to Milan. It's not a charming neighborhood, but it's very convenient one, close to the metro at Pza. della Repubblica. Price reasonable for this expensive city. Clean and secure. Rooms are really tiny, but we didn't spend much time there. Breakfast is good, with croissants, cereal, yogurt, fruit, cappuccino, but the breakfast area is small. While the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning, it had not yet been turned on for the summer. With windows open at night, it was cool enough, but there was a lot of noise from the street.

This was our first trip to Milan (at the end of a week in Sicily) and we loved it! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Following the recommendation of one member of staff, we had the best meal of all our stay away, in the restaurant Da Giovanni.

We spent just one night in a double room and it was a good stay. The room was clean and quiet, just a bit small but for a short term stay was enough. Location is perfect if you travel by train and really next to the city centre. The only little complaint is about the hosts, not really welcoming. Good breakfast.

We were 7 girls in two rooms. The rooms were really clean. Not modern but functinal. Breakfast was good with fresh fruits, yoghurts and really good italian cappuccino. By bus or metro is it really easy to go to centre, also possibel by feet. We really enyoied end can recommend the hotel for people who like to travelle simple.

Rooms were small as expected for a european room. Accomodations were simple, as expected. Bathroom was tiny, as expected. All in all it was fine for what it was. If you're expecting the 4 seasons, dont stay here. If you want a place to sleep with a nice staff and a decent location in relation to travel points, its a good place

Convenient business hotel in central Milan. We (my wife, 2 month old son and I) stayed for one night to attend an early morning meeting at the American embassy. The room was small, but clean. The breakfast was good and the staff was, for the most part, very friendly.

The hotel foyer was clean, renvoted and tready but the rooms definitely need major renovation. Bathroom very small. Breakfast was good, even the guy serving coffee was nice. Some of the reception staff, need some training with people skills. Very close to central train station but a bit far from Milano central (Duomo). Overall I enjoyed my stay.

quite good stay for this money. not in the city center but within 5 min walk to subway station. one night out of 2 was waked up at 4 am with awful sounds of garbage truck emtying containers. Hotel is offer parking around the corner and STRONGLY and PERSISTENTLY reccomend it for 20 euro, but there is other parking(next door to the hotel for 15 euro.it's ok, but you have to leave keys in the car. Finding the hotel is not easy and the map is not detailed enough to find your way in Milan if you don't know the city. An alarm kept ringing in one of the houses next to the hotel and therefore the noise never, ever ended during the whole duration of our stay. a whole evening + night + morning

We were greeted by a man who did not seem to much care at all that we were arriving or that we might have questions. The room for 4 people indeed had 4 beds, but was so small it had no floor space -- none! An impossible situation. Price quoted was cheap, but not much value given for that! Though the porter and the breakfast staff were helpful and pleasant it was the worst hotel experience during 5 months in Europe!

The location was excellent just a few minutes walk to metro stations. 3 stations to Duomo. For tired days there's a cafe&bar behind the hotel. Staff was very helpful and good humored. I stayed in Sempione hotel 1 week and can definitely recommend it to everybody. What is good - it's close to metro (2 min), close to the center (15-20 min), lots of cafes and snack-bars around and shops for reasonable prices. Quite area, very helpful stuff, good work of chambermaids, sound proofing windows. What is bad - non-sound proofing doors and walls between the rooms.

The Hotel Sempione presents well with delightful marble entrance and the staff are most welcoming, the breakfast is substantial and included in the price. However our room (a twin) was very small and overlooked the airconditioning unit which was very noisy, as were other guests in the room below who were unfortunately Australian! The toilet seat had a large crack in it but when we said we thought they ought to know about it, it was soon replaced without further ado.The rooms were serviced everyday. We did have 3 nights/4 days in Milan and there is a facility at the hotel to leave luggage free of charge after check out if departure is late in the day.

Our room was very clean and well appointed as it appeared to have been recently renovated; however the room was really really small and the bathroom, though stylish, was also very small with a teeny tiny shower. There were two of us but the size of this room really more appropriate for a single traveller. The hotel is inside a nice-looking vintage building, but completely new renovation inside, perhaps a bit cold and sterile for my taste, but I know that this is the style nowadays. Overall not a bad hotel, but for the tiny rooms. Very convenient to the Repubblica Metro Station (500m more or less) and about a 15-min. walk from Milano Centrale RR Station.

We arrived late after a delayed flight. We followed the instructions and took the Metro, and found the hotel easily. The night porter who met us was very friendly and helpful, but it turned out that he was retired and only covering sick leave. The day time staff were fairly efficient but nowhere near as friendly. The room was clean and suited us well, and the hotel was close enough to the Metro to make it easy to access the city centre.

Classical old style hotel with lots of rooms and located a few blocks from the train station, but far from Milan center. We spend here one night just to catch a flight so we looked for somewhere near the train station. The staff at the reception desk is kind enough, but won't help you with your bags. I was expecting that being a 3-star hotel (this is not a hostel or a pension). The room was very clean, with mini-bar and nice bathroom. Overall was good, but tiny. The double bed was too small for two persons to sleep in, and it was towards the wall, what made it even more difficult. We asked for wake-up service and a taxi at 6 am to go the the station. That's was Ok.

The hotel is located quite close to the central railwaystation and there are a metrostation (Republica) nearby. The area is OK, but not the most charming part of Milano. This is a good hotel for short visits. The rooms are clean and of good standard and the breakfast is OK. I tried to get the same room as last time, and enocoutered a fiasco. The room I got now was awful, I have never seen the smaller bathroom and shower in my life), but the most unpleasant thing was the unfriendliness of the personnel. it looked as if guests were very irritating. On top of this we were charged for the second cup of coffe at breakfast(I am afraid that guests are only entitled to one)without any notification. If you like an early wake up at Saturdays and Sundays by screaming cleaning ladies, you wish a person at reception desk with a face telling “ don’t waste my time, have a newspaper to read” that’s place for you. The hotel is close to the Republica underground station, form there it is a short trip to anywhere in town. Living on the third floor we did not experience any noise from outside, and there was little noise from inside the hotel. This is a cheap hotel, so you get small rooms and an adequate breakfast in a small room, but we were not in Milano to enjoy the hotel room, we were in Milano to view all the sights. As such the hotel fitted our needs perfectly. For 3 euros you can get a day pass at the underground and the hotel is just a few stops from all the central stations. So this was a cheaper solution than to live in the city centre. There are also lots of restaurants within a 10 minutes walk of the hotel.

deuxième séjour dans cet hotel qui répondait à notre attente. Le seul défaut de la chambre; la salle de bain vraiment trop exigüe même pour une personne de faible corpulence.

The hotel was close to the railway station (Centrale). It was clean and relatively quiet. The initial welcome at the front desk was quite abrupt and surly. It improved with time. Overall, a good hotel at the price for a night or two.

This is a clean hotel with modern, clean rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. One staff member was less than helpful. The restaurant in the hotel was very good.

Sempione is a comfortable hotel in a convenient location. It is close to both a metro station and supermarket which we always useful when travelling. A couple things to mention about our recent stay there. (1) Upon check-in we were advised that a room was not available at the hotel for our first night's stay, but they had booked a room for us at the nearby Hotel Ibis - a little inconvenient, as we had to check in and out twice. (2) On one occasion, our room door was left unlocked after cleaning. Obviously we complained (hopefully enough) to ensure it didn't happen a second time.

First night, our room had been let to someone else(despite we made a booking 2 months in advance!)BUT the reception guy has been very nice and funny and had already been arranging everything for us to stay at the Ibis Hotel across the street for the first night, which represented little hassle to us. The only problem we had is no shower curtain, hence slippery floor and wet shoes :-) On the positive side, the hotel is very well located, close to the Central Station and the area is green and relatively safe. The hotel is clean and the room well equiped with air con, mini bar, flat screen cable TV on the wall, hair dryer, shampoo, soap, in short all mod cons you'd expect in a real *** hotel...with reception 24/7. Generous breakfast (for Italy) with healthy options such as fruits and yoghurts but also fresh croissants on a Sunday morning... The staff was extremely friendly, kind and fun, offered us cappuccinos when we missed breakfast :-P and were always happy to have a chat and help with directions. I think it's been a great experience overall and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
