Hotel San Siro Fiera - Milan

We stayed 2 nights in this place. Service was really good (receptionists were very friendly and tried to speak French with us) BUT the hostel is NOT in the city center. You need to take bus no. 72 (12 minutes) to De Angeli and then line 1 of the metro to reach the city center. Futhermore, we get a room on the ground floor (room no. 101) and could hear everything happening at the reception (for ex. breakfast starting from 6.00 am...). But we did not hear cars driving on the main roads....

Everything was ok. Tha staff is friendly, they speak english, the room was clean, the breakfast was good in quality and quantity. One small disappointment: only italian TV channels.

This is a simple hotel in an unattractive area. However it is clean, there are two restaurants in walking distance and wireless broadband in the room was free of charge. What made my stay so pleasant was the lovely welcome and helpfulness of all the staff.

The staff was wonderful and answered all of our questions and requests with a friendly and courteous manner. One of the rooms was towards the front of the hotel / on the street side and was quite noisy during the night with traffic, but the other room was fine. One problem is that the hotel is a bit out of the center of Milan and there is a bus line to get into town but there are no tabacchi's close to the hotel that sold bus tickets so we had to take taxi's into the city each day of our stay.
