The hotel location is good, close to the station and Metro. The rooms are too small--hard to open auitcases. No elevators, but help is available to take suitceses up. Breakfast is minimal. The appropriate rating should be 2-star.

Clean and overall OK but breakfast could be better; for example some cheese and sausage for the bread and better coffee if possible. I´m not sure but was there that there´s no elevator. Not many steps but for example older people might cause some difficulties.

The hotel is realy nice. The staff is very friendly and hospitable! The location is good too: it is located near Central Station and not too far from thew city center (for those who like walking and enjoing the city, but you can easily reach everything by metro or old-style tram). The room was cleaned every day,l the towel were changed also every day. The hotel is samll, but the room was pretty big. The one problem was very low height of water, and zou need to wait for hot water some minutes... However,in Italy there is always a problem in bathroom. So for this price I will recommend this hotel.

We stayed in Salerno Hotel for 2 nights. We were greeted by a friendly, English-speaking staff upon our arrival. He provided us a map of Milan and advised us on how to get to the attractions in the city. He also showed us to Corso Buenos Aires, the affordable shopping district in Milan. The hotel is very strategically located near the Lima metro station and Corso Buenos Aires. There is also a store with vending machines from which you can get your water and snack supplies at cheap prices compared to getting them from shops.

The B&B is not bad, but clearly lack of some services. In the restroom there are not the shampoo and soap bath to clean, so the first night we have to take a shower. Always the first night the water was freezing cold, so it was not great, but the total overall was decent. the breakfast is 2 NO-home made croissant and a fruit juice. The towels are not changed every 3 days and i found the linen dirty. the only clear advantage of this b&b is the location next to the metro at incredible realy low price to be in Rome

Tha place was ok. Just right to spend a night or two. Sure if u not gonna stay indoors a lot. The location is good - there is metro station nearby but one can also just walk to the railway station, it takes about 15 minutes. So don't expect any miracles or some spescial atmosphere. But the stuff is helpful andthe water in shower is hot. The last but not least - it smelled cigarettes in our room. So I wouldn't reccommend this hotel to nonsmoking persons. The breakfast was ok.

The hotel has a great location, 5 min from Central Station and 2 min from Lima Metro Station. The breakfast was horrible, after trying it, we skipped it next morning and went for expresso and cornetto to a nearby bar. Overall, good place for short stay in Milan.

We were staying in Milano with my friend for few days to celebrate my Birthday. We did not expect much but the hotel was very nice and clean. We were living on the ground floor near the fire exit. The room was not very big but enought to stay for few days. And in the morning you could hear birds. The breakfast was not big, but fresh bread and coffee did their job. Reseption team was very friendly and helpful. But the best thing about the hotel is its location, just 10 minutes walking from train station, not far away from undersground and Corso Bueno Aires, also few nice restaurants in the area. You can ask in the hotel for the great Argentinian steak house just about 10-15 minutes from there, meat there is gorgeouse!!! I am happy that I chose this hotel and I would stay there again.

Two negatives only, for this nice hotel: 1) Very-very noisy due to the location being next to tram-line and car roads. 2) Very cold room as the air-conditioning was not functioning and the outside temperature was 10-12'C!!! Except for these, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms new and the location is really good, next to Lima and Centrale metro stations, "Buenos Aires" shopping area, central train station, only 5mins by taxi to the clubs/bars area, 10mins by metro to Duomo

This hotel is located within 10 min walking fromt he main train station which is very convinient. Having said that, it is not the nicest area at all. Right across from the hotel there is a major market and it smells and gets really dirty at the end of the day. There are plastic bags all around the streets. The good thing about this hotel is its location. It is 2 min walk to metro as well so it is easy to get anywhere in the city. The towels that the hotel provided were a joke. They were not real towels that you would expect. I had to use the small towels that they provide for the hands for my hair and body because the other ones were smelling like vinegar too much and looked strange. Unfortenately I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone unless you are travelling for one night on the train in which case it is ok just for one night.

This hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from the train station which made it very convenient for us. There's not really anything of interest in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, so if you're looking to stay in a fun neighborhood, this hotel is probably not the best choice. The breakfast was not as good as breakfasts at other hotels we stayed in for the same price and the bathroom was very plain but clean. Overall the stay was satisfactory.

Caution: the information provided on the hotel's reservation page and actual info do not match. Complimentary wi-fi access is advertised on the page, but I was asked to pay 5 euro for it. When I told the receptionist that no extra charge is applicable to it as it is listed as a free service, he just murmored some words and couldn't provide any convincing explanation. There is no lobby area or reading room as advertised either. When I wanted to use the couch at the reception area at least in order not to disturb my mate's sleep at night after 11pm, the rude receptionist simply chased me away from there, saying that ''the reception is now closed'', because he uses the couch there in the public area to sleep on at nights!! (note that on the hotel's reservation page it also says that the reception is open and staffed 24 hours/day, which is another lie). Although I stayed only for one night, all these were more than enough to touch my nerves and screw my day. I will never stay here again and don't recommend anyone to stay here either. Only if you want to see how cheeky and a big liar a person can be, it's worth a try then to observe the receptionist guy.

The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful in recommending some of the places to visit in Milan and also very polite to hotel guests. The location was further from the milan centrale train station than I thought but still within walking distance. It is located in between 2 metro stations. There are good selection of TV channels than the other B&B that we stayed in Italy. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room was not turned on (staff explained that the weather wasn't that warm but the time of my visit was in summer!) and the room is directly beside a busy street. The noise and dust from the traffic (tram and cars) was too overwhelming, which did not allow us to open the windows for ventilation.

If you do not want to spend a lot of money to the Italian hotels, Salerno is really a good choice. I do the reservation from Venere, it is also working good. Salerno Hotel situated 10 minutes easy walk to the Milan Centrale(Main Station) and 3 minutes walking to the red metro line, Lima station. The area is safe, do not forget to visit the nice local bazaar near to the hotel on Saturdays. We are very pleased with the hotel. Both the teams, Salerno and Venere, are working very friendly. All the team in the hotel can speak english, it is 24h. open. The rooms are as described in the Venere site, very comfortable for an one star hotel. Around 60 euro per night in Milan, it is a good choice.

To English people: The Salerno Hotel is perfect. Its situation is near of the Train Station. If you walk 20 minutes, you´ll be in the Place Duomo. The people of the hotel is very friendly, and the hotel is very good to the relation quality/price. *** Marina y Tomás
