The desk staff was neither welcoming, nor helpful. They treated questions or requests with near hostility. When we asked about the cost of a taxi to the Malpensa, we were told 70-80 euro. When we said - OK, can you arrange one for us, the clerk did so, but instead arranged for a private car, at 90 euro. There are VERY limited restaurants within walking distance. Public transport, however, is quite close. The breakfast room and breakfast was very good.

Not so close to city centre, but perfect if you arrive by car. In the weekend you can find places for parking in Viale Certosa. A bus line for the city centre runs just in front of the hotel. Perfect hotel, wonderful high-quality breakfast buffet. I will come again.

My sister and I went to the hotel with public transport from Milano Central Station. Website instruction was to get on No.33 tram from the station, but it was hopeless! We finally arrived at the hotel with No.19 tram. Please provide better instruction for public transport. The hotel was spotless, spacious and excellent value for money. Friendly staffs and good breakfast. I will definately go back to this hotel when I go back to Milan next time.

Directions on how to get the hotel were worse thatn useless. The hotel is good although the location is not as nice as it could be but then you are only 20mins or so a way from the centre of Milano. Go to Google maps and enter the adress and make sure you know how to get to the hotel BEFORE you try to find it. Know EXACTLY where to turn and which streets to go to. It took us over an hour to get there from the centre of Milano on a sunday evening. The hotel is nice though and you get more for your money than you would in the centre of Milano.

Lo mejor la habitación para tres que nos dieron, una maravilla de espacio y confort. En general el hotel está bastante bien aunque un poco retirado del centro, pero hay buenos transportes públicos.

The hotel was functional but fairly basic in what was provided, room was fairly small but quite clean (first stay in an Italian hotel so not sure if the average is all that much bigger). The stay was fine for our purposes and the only real disappointment was the reccommendation for a restaurant.....it was quite a distance away and the food was very average and considerably overpriced....I guess it pays to do your own research.

We had a three day break in Milan and we stayed at Hotel Raffaello. Our room was comfortable and clean but unfortunately the welcoming was a bit cool, moreover the waitress working in the breakfast room was rather impolite.Anyway we can say without any doubt that the relationship between price and quality was very good.

I stayed in Milan together with my husband and parents and we had an excellent time at Hotel Raffaello.I have travelled around the world and stayed in top hotels and I must say that I have added Hotel Raffaelo on my extensive list!We had a spacious suite in pristine condition and everything at the hotel was exquisite. The hotel offers a fitness room too (free of charge): my husband who practises sports on a daily basis told me it was excellent. The service was outstanding and faultless (the personnel at the hotel was professionel, very friendly and recommended us some restaurants in the area). The breakfast was a continental one and we had to our disposal a wide range of choices (from fresh bread&croissants to a prune cocktail etc.). The personnel in the breakfast area were very kind and generous. By the way the coffee and hot chocolate (my favourite drink) were the best me and my husband had tasted in Italy. Three trams service the hotel area and depending on which tram you take it takes approximately 15mn to get to the Duomo. Shops (tram tickets) are just around the corner and you have got to eat in the restaurant in front of the hotel L’Oasi di Viale Certosa: this restaurant offers scrumptious Italian food for very reasonable prices. All in all our holidays in Milan was a great success and we plan on going back to Hotel Raffaello next time we go to Milan and Lake Como.

Very good location! Really good relationship between quality & price. A little bit far away from center, but good public connections in front of the hotel. But if you want to stay close to center (duomo) it's not the best solution. Very good breakfast (especially for Italy)!

The Rafaello was great. We stayed one night at the end of a 2 week stay in Italy from the US.The staff was very friendly and helpful from changing our room to changing it back with no attitude, to directing us in getting to some great shopping. A very nice breakfast was included. Not ultra fancy but clean and reasonably priced.

This was no accident that we rated this stay/hotel all 10's! They absolutely deserve it. The entire facility was as clean and neat as any we have ever stayed in, and the staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. We stayed there twice. On way through to Santa Margherita and on the way back for an overnite to catch our flight home the next day. The attendants at the desk were terrific. Restaurants were recommended and were absolutely outstanding. The rooms were quiet, clean and very comfortable. Best value for the money on our entire three week trip thru Europe. What a great way to cap off a tremendous trip! We selected this hotel off the internet and knew nothing about it. What a great find!

For 80€/night (that we got it) it is the best hotel you will be able to find. It offers everything one needs during his stay in Milan. The only con is the price for the Wi-Fi internet that they charge per hour and not for the whole day. Everything else is perfect and at normal prices (for a hotel as luxurious as this one).

Hotel staff VERY accomadating and helpful in many matters. Their brochures talk about a snack for dinner but their "restaurant" only offers a few selections and is not a "real" restaurant," only to be used if you don't want to go out, but there are plenty of other places to dine in the evenings around the hotel. Rooms are very roomy compared to other places in Italy. Parking areas don't open early to get cars out so you have to park on the street for early departures, otherwise a great place to stay.

Hotel Raffaello is a spotlessly clean hotel. We made the reservation only about 5 days before staying and were given an extremely spacious room with a very comfortable double bed and single bed for our 11 year old daughter. Furthermore the rooms are air conditioned, a necessity for some reprieve from the stifling summer heat. The bathroom facilities, including the shower, were the best we'd encountered in Italy. Breakfast was a plentiful buffet, and coffee and hot chocolate were freshly made and served by the staff. Overall, Hotel Raffaello is an excellent 4 star hotel at a very reasonable cost.

Excellent hotel. Staff very friendly and the hotel clean though the outside don't look very nice. Tram stop is just outside hotel and shopping is just abt 10 mins walk. Very easily accessible to Duomo by tram. Breakfast is superb. Only set back is getting tram ticket when it is Sunday when most shops are closed. It would be great if the tickets can be purchased at the hotel recept. Would greatly recommend the hotel.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel. It was really nice as 4 star hotel but the prices was really high. I don't know may be because of the area or location. Anyhow it is nice for business travellers going to the Fair area. I asked recieption for a restaurant near by and they recommend one italian restaurant infront of the hotel to the left side. I really didn't like it because he was looking at us as (un-wanted) he asked us three times if we have a reservation and I told him that the recieption called you infornt of me asking for a table.

The hotel was right where it was supposed to be on the map. The room was small but adequate and was clean. Price seemed high, but it was commensurate with what we saw in Italy. They followed through by making a reservation that I had requested. My only complaint would be that the front desk staff seemed very indifferent towards us when we inquired about certain things. Overall I would say that this was a very good hotel for a commercial district by the highway in Milan. I would stay there again, if I was leaving early in the morning for the airport at Malpensa.
