Hotel Piacenza - Milan

I've to Milan for my job. Hotel Piacenza meet my standard for spending a few days of work in the city. Discrete and clean the toilets in the room. small common areas. satisfying breakfast

Clean, simple but nice area, nothing fancy, pricey for what you get but OK for a night.

Pros: the staff is extremely friendly, the hotel is very close to the tram station (line 3), the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. Sat TV and WiFi. Cons: room and bathroom are really small, the bathroom has many mould patches and is old and a bit crumbling. The breakfast is really basic: a very small buffet, milk and coffe and some yoghurt.

Good quality vs price, excellent location also for woman alone

Good location close to Underground MM3 and easy to reach from South motorways.

Close to Bocconi University and the subway, making it easy to access the city center. Good value for money. No complaints apart from the fact that the triple room could have been bigger.

My general experience at Hotel Piacenza was been very nice!

Hôtel très propre et personnel sympathique. Accueil en plusieurs langues. La chambre (single) était plutôt petite mais possédait tous les équipements indispensables (télé satellite, clim, frigo, telephone, armoires,etc). Un petit bémol pour la clim qui ne souffle pas assez fort et pas assez froid. Petit déjeuner complet.

I was in a single room. It was nice but really small. Good welcoming ,very nice area,really near to the metro.

We were very happy with the web service. It is really well done! The last hotel (Grifo) we went to in Rome was a dissappointment. The walls were dirty and the bed had been sprayed with something so it was wet. The towels in the bathroom were also wet. The staff in the hotel were nice. The hotel in Florence was just wonderful (Casci). Great room, location, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room in Milan (Piacenza) was fine, but a bit small. The room in Venice was very nice and a great location (Residenza Goldoni).

The rooms were very small, and the bedding smelled of cigarette smoke. We were instructed to park our car at a nearby parking ramp, which we found to be closed, and needed to find on-street parking in nighttime Milan-no small feat! The directions were ok, and the area was fine.

This hotel is in an appealing, non-touristy section of Milan about a block from the Metro and a 10 Euro taxi ride from the Centrale station. It is not an American style hotel so the rooms do not compare in size; however, it is very clean, has all the expected amenities (including excellent air conditioning), and windows that actually open. The staff all spoke English and was most courteous and helpful. Just a few doors down are two very good restaurants, and only a block away is some excellent shopping.

The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, knew the area, and my room was just as advertised - no surprises. The hotel is situated in a very nice Italian (non tourist) neighborhood easily reached by the Metro, and is steps away from several charming restaurants serving authentic Italian food.

This place has the best quality/price ratio in this part of the city. Lots of people working at the nearby University Bocconi book here when they are on their own. There are marginally better (but significantly more expensive) choices in the zone when someone else is footing your bill.
