Good quality hotel. Surroundings were a little sketchy but very convenient for the metro in the centre of Milan.

Central position (very close to Metro station and 20 min from Piazza del Duomo). Very large room, although furnished in old style. A few problems on reception of some TV channels and some light-bulbs out of order in the bathroom. Fair breakfast, very kind staff at the reception. To be in Milan, good relationship between price and quality.

I have got a giant and comfortable room. Everything is a bit old and out of fashion, but just for this reason the atmosphere is nicer and more original than in new, standardized, boring three-stars hotels. The internal garage is very handy.

Very good hotel! Just a few steps from the next Metro station. Rooms (we had a family accommodation) are really big and comfortable. Good breakfast. Garage for the car available in the same building.

I was travelling with my two daugthers, we made reservations in this Hotel because of its closeness to the Corso Buenos Aires and the Train Station. It was true that it was very close to the Train Station, however it is not true that is just few steps away from the center of Milan... my God!!! we walked more than one hour to reach the end of Corso Buenos Aires....and we were still away from the center. The neighborhood was not kind at all, I would say that it was very dirty and somewhat frightening...although my key complain about this Hotel is that it smells horrible, especially the corridor at the second floor...the carpet looked really old and dirty... also the water tasted horrible, we could not drink a tea there....we asked many times to try new water and all the times it was the same. Despite this very bad experience overall, we got a very good personal experience with two employees (Mara and Romulo-from the restaurant), they were very nice, trying all the time to solve our problems, making our stay comfortable. People at the front desk, although not very nice, they provided us all the information we asked for.

Very spacious rooms. Air conditioning not working. Counter staff very formal, unsmiling and quite unapologetic about it but efficient enough in other ways I suppose. We had trouble finding the hotel. It was not visible from the metro exit as indicated in the directions.

As a family (two teenagers) stayed in 2 adjoining rooms in a sort of suite. Rooms were fine but everything is v. old fashioned, and basic. extremely helpful staff printed out a list of places for us to watch a football game and recommended a restaurant. Hotel location is a bit out of the centre, on a direct Metro line to the Duomo, in a slightly run-down area. Not a place for a special stay, but fine for one night when you're not spending too much time in your room. Hotel was full of shoe salespeople, attending a trade fair: I imagine this is the sort of regular weekday clientele.

Troppi extracomunitari nullafacenti a zonzo. Collegatissima, centralissima e vicinissima la stazione metro. Veramente ottimo il servizio ed i servizi offerti.

We were in Milan for the exhibition at the New Exhibition Center. Hotel is very closed to subway so easy for getting there. Room is quite spacious. Breafast, although is quite limited, tastes good. Area SEEMS a bit unsafe but we were fine during entire stay.

This was my first time at the Hotel Pasteur. It was very nice but the surrounding area was not what I expected. However, the proximity to the subway and the convenience market were excellent. I do recommend this place. The staff were welcoming and very nice.

La habitación cuádruple está muy bien, porque en realidad son dos habitaciones. No esperes lujos ni una ubicación demasiado céntrica. El metro está muy cerca y con esto te acercas fácilmente al centro. La relación calidad-precio es interesante.

The price is good, but you get what you pay for. Although the rooms are spacious, they are also very noisy. The hotel is not located in a nice area and my wife felt very uncomfortable walking around the block. My son was woken up by a gang fight just outside our window. A couple of guys beat each other up for 15-20 minutes. All that being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. If they could only move the hotel to a different location...

The hotel accomodation even exceded our expectations. The staff was friendly, there was no buraucracy delaying the check-in and check-out process. The staff was able to give some hints concerning the surroundings (restaurant services, internet cafes etc.). The internet service provided at the hotel is too reduced, it does not even allow to open three messages before itis cut down, not to think about replies. This service should urgently be upgraded. All in all, a very pleasant experience, and I will refer to your services in futures travels. Thanks a lot, Paul Kohorst

This was a great hotel for our family of four -- the suite was two rooms with a bathroom for a reasonable price, especially when you include the very nice breakfast for two adults and two teens. The kids also appreciated the free internet point. As other reviewers have mentioned, the neighborhood is funky, so if you don't like funky you probably won't like this location. It was very easy to get to the duomo (six stops on the subway) and only about a 6 to 10 Euro cab ride (the price varied this widely among our four cab drivers) from the train station. We flew in and out of Milan and needed a comfortable place for those transit nights -- this was just right.

Please adjust the map's website for this hotel. It made it appear within walking distance from the central train station. It also was on a small side street, which was not very easy to find. It was the only negative thing I can say about my stay. The hotel was very friendly and exactly what I needed.

Dear Venere.com, I was impressed with the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The only problem I found that the information on the map, should have told the proper stop as 'Pasteur' on the metro. The area was slightly scary by night because of the types of people (squatters, spanish) living in the area, but all in all it was just perfect. The efficiency of venere.com and the booking of the hotel was great. Also a friend of mine I met with in Milano is going to recommend other clients coming for future conferences on business. A big thank you. Kind Regards, Miss T. Burford

I would not choose to stay here again. The breakfast was adequate at best. The coffee was excellent though. This is a corporate hotel with no character located in an area devoid of restaurants and things to do. It is close to the subway. Make sure they confirm the price of the room. We had to pay 50 Euro more for our room due for our kids. The website indicates kids stay free and they took it upon themselves to change our room type to accomodate our family without telling us the rate would be different. They made it appear as if they were doing us a favor, but they certainly did not. There must be better hotels in Milan.

When we checked in, we were advised of a 24 hour bar, but night porter insisted on closing at 2am. The hotel was pretty much overwhelmed the first morning as there were 13,000 Scots in Milan and hotel was fully booked. Hotel had not counted for this and were swamped at breakfast on the first day, but sorted the following day

We were happy with our stay, except for the lack of sleep - caused by some people singing loudly until 6 a.m. We eventually asked the night staff to tell the people to be quiet, but this did ruin two nights' sleep.

From start to finish the Hotel looked after us and helped with anything we asked. Nothing was too much hassle and as well as being helpful the staff were also very friendly. This Hotel is excellent, however is not situated in the best area of Milan, which is probably reflected in the price. A good 10-15 min walk from the station, the directions are not great, so unless you have a detailed map I suggest a taxi is best, or hop on the metro to Pasteur. Overall good value for money.

We arrived by Ryanair at Bergamo airport at around a quater to midnight, and had pre -booked tickets on their bus service - terravision - to Milan central Station, having decided to head straight for Milan rather than stay in Bergamo. The actual hotel is about a good 15 mins walk from Milan Central train station and although it was around 1:00 am in the morning, the streets are relatively safe to walk around. The hotel seemed to be in a rundown area, however when you walk around the rest of MIlan, you find that this is the case with most places. The hotel itself was quite impressive, especially for the price we paid. We were a group of 3, and the suite consisted of a twin bedded room, and a seperate single room, plus an ensuite bathroom. This was an ideal set-up and we were not expecting this at all! the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was filling! I'd definately come back to stay here.
