Amazing receptionnist, very helpful to optimize your stay and understand the trams in Milan. Also good advice to get a breakfast in the surroundings. Bravo, a very nice and convenient stay !

We were very happy with our accommodations at Hotel Palladio, the desk clerk was excellent and the hotel interiors appeared to be brand new. It is indeed difficult to believe their one star rating, but that must be because they don t have the space to offer breakfast, although they do have vending machines tucked discretely away. The building itself is lovely and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Parking was very difficult, but it is like that in most of Milan. We will definitely be back!

I was in Milan for only three days, for my graduation, so I knew exactly what I wanted out of the Hotel I'd be staying in: close proximity to Bocconi University and not too far from anywhere we may be going out. Hotel Palladio was excellently positioned for that, the university being less than a 5 minute walk, the city centre a 15 minutes walk away. I had been a bit worried about the one-star ranking of the Hotel. It turns out I had not needed to be. The single room was twice as large as the room I had lived in when I was a student in Milan and twice as comfortable. The staff were very helpfull. The neighbourhood is quiet (and safe). The things to note (and the reasons why the Hotel has only a one star rank) is that the reception is staffed from 7:30-7:30. So if, liek me you are leaving at night and need a taxi to pick you up, its best to let the staff know beforehand so they can arrange that. There is no breakfast, but half the fun of going on a trip to Italy is finding tiny places to eat and you will have more fun having breakfast out there than holed up in a hotel.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Palladio! Carlo at reception was very helpfull, and speaks great English. He allowed us to phone and print in his office, and also gave good advice regarding sights and transport. The tram from Piazza del Duomo is easy and quick, Navigli is close by and even going to Fiero Milano conference centre in the mornings was no problem.

Carlo and Livia were very friendly and gave excellent advise on special places to visit in Milan. Hotel Palladio is just around the corner from the tram to Il Duomo and the central piazza of Milan, yet its a quiet street. I love Italy.

Stayed here just for sightseeing of milano, so we only needed a clean room and bed with a shower. The staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful in any case. If you just want to go to milano for sightseeing I can recommend this hotel. The next bus/tram-station is 100 m next by and you are in the city (at the duomo) within about 10 minutes. There is a bakery directly at the bus stop as well as two italian bars and an ice cream parlor. We were very satisfied with this hotel, but we did not expected too much from an one star hotel. I can not say something to the value for money, cause during our stay here, there were some fairs in milano increasing prices overall.

It's not a bad hotel, also if it is just "one star" It has the facilities of a better ranked hotel. The big problem, in my opinion, is the relationship price/quality. I cannot pay 69eur per night for a "one star" hotel!! I have paid about the same amount to stay at the Sheraton Stockolm (five star lux hotel!!!) Anyway if you need to stay exactly in this area of Milan, It is the cheapest. For example, I came there because I had to go to an open-day of university Bocconi (very near from the hotel). I hope that i have helped you travellers!

Final stay after 26 days in Italy, pleasant surprise and for a one star hotel we give it a 10 in just about all areas. For Milano the price was more than fair, Location is good, subway, trams and bus nearby. We stayed three nights in Milan. Would recommend this hotel for all travelers.

excellent location, nice hotel but room walls very thin and bed located right by the door, so can be noisy at night..

For my one-night stay, I had a top (6th) floor single room, with a tiny balcony overlooking the neighborhood rooftops, just charming. Yes, there was an elevator. The furniture/decor was basic, the single bed was fine, a bit narrow, but that seems to be the norm in Italy. The bathroom was spacious and very clean, lots of hot water in the shower. The young woman at the desk when I checked in (midday) was very friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English. The night clerk spoke NO English, but I was able to check out with her early in the am without difficulty. Forget the tv - ALL the channels were in Italian! Be sure to map out the way to the hotel, it's a good 10 minute walk from the metro with several turns. I think the tram and bus come closer.
