The room itself was spacious and clean, however the bathroom smelled of urine. The hotel is within a very short walk of the train station.

If u come by train, walk to the front of the railway station,u will know wen u look up and see two beautiful winged horses. Stand with your back to the horses and look straight ahead. You will see 3 streets, the one veering left is via Torriani, the one heading in a straight line is via Pisani and the one veering right is via Pirelli...this is the street u are looking for. Cross over the road and veer right to via Pirelli and Hotel New York is about 60 metres along via Pirelli on the left hand side of the street with the rail station at your back.Very easy to find. The staff were very good, very helpful and friendly.Breakfast was very good and plentiful.Hotel is well situated, any amount of restaurants close by,one we would recommend goes by the name of Ristorante Pizzeria FASHION and located just around the corner in via Torriani, the prices were excelent, food very good and wait staff superb. The DUOMO is about a 25/30 minute walk,as is La Scalla, very close to DUOMO. Should u be flying from Malpensa, the airport shuttle bus is on the right hand side of the rail station,as u walk towards it,cost is 7.50 euro, about 1 hour trip. They had a deal on, if there are 3 in your group, pay for two and the third person travels free. The only down side,on our first night we asked a staff member to recommend a good ristorante,we were directed to one that very obviously paid the hotel a kickback,it was overpriced, pushy, the food was average and service average, not a great experience.Overall, the New York Hotel is very good, i would recommend the New York Hotel and would certainly stay there again. I hope u enjoy the experience as much as we did.

It was a little hard to find because the construction hid one of the signs. It was a wonderful hotel in every aspect. The only complaint I would say is that the AC never fully cooled the room off. Other than that, it was great!

Location was very good.Room ok but works outside made it rather noisy. First morning, staff in breakfast room were to busy to serve coffee, and were not very nice about it. We were told to wait for 15 minutes, so had breakfast at nearby cafe.Next morning, breakfast was ok.

The hotel is close to the train station and also the Metro, so is quite convenient. The room was very quite and breakfast was fairly good. The room was standard and the interiors were not particularly appealing, old fashin. As Milano is usually an expensive city, this hotel prices are particularly convenient considering the relationship price/quality.

I found this hotel to be excellent for the one night stop over required to travel on to Verona. We arrived late & the reception staff were on duty and welcoming. Its proximity to the train station is a big plus factor. The breakfast was o.k. but not great. Both the tea and coffee were cold and the selection available was all pre-packed and processed. It is a pity the hotel let itself down on that score.

This was very conveniently located within sight of the train station: if you exit through the main doors, you can see the sigh for Hotel New York across the street. The room was clean and tidy, although the bathroom window was slightly broken. Everything seemed well run. Breakfast was reasonably yummy. I don't know what else is in the neighborhood, but it is easily accessible by the shuttle bus from airport MXP and of course from the train station (Centrale).

Been in Milan many times. I want hotels near railway station because I often move around in northern Italy. And also because you can buy food and drinks at almost any time at the Centrale FS. Close to Metro-lines to "Dome-area" as well as "Naviglio-area". Close to "Buenos Aires-shopping".

I stayed here for 2 nights because it had a pretty decent price and was located near the Central Station where I would be leaving. There are few restaurants located nearby but otherwise access to other parts of the city is quite easy. The room was nice and convenient and was exactly what I thought it would be. I would recommend this hotel for a one/two night stay in Milan.

The Hotel did not provide air-conditional in May although we complaint that is very warm at night. The 1st receptionist told us is due to air-cond having problem and technician is coming over the next day but on 2nd day, another receptionist told us that there would be no air-cond supply until 1JUN08. When we open the window at night, there are mosquito and the next building office lot would able to see everything inside the room on next morning. There is no privacy at all. Luckily it started to rain on 2nd onwards or we'll choose to shift to another hotel. The only plus point is the Hotel is very near to the main bus (from airport) and train station, i.e., all within walking distant.

No garage available. Parking was major hastle. Standing at the main entrance of the train station, is a square with several streets off of it. Pirelli is one of them. The driving instructions should say to park at the train station and walk out the front doors, turn right around the square. Would have saved us lots of time driving around and around. Couldn't drive to the Duomo, so we missed seeing it.

My wife and I had only a day to spend in Milan before we took a train to Verona. The location of this hotel was perfect. We landed at the Orio airport in Bergamo and took a bus to Milan central station. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk. Breakfast (included) was a standard European continental buffet. After checking out they were happy to hold our bags for us while we were site seeing.

The hotel was a few steps from the main railway station, very convenient. We walked into the city centre several times from the hotel, there is also the Metro from the main station and the guided tour bus stops nearby. The room was kept clean (cleaned and tidied every day) the minibar was reasonable and the shower was great! TV and some toiletries provided. Breakfast was good too. There were several restaurants located near the hotel for dinner. We would stay here again.

Good proximity to Main Line Station (Train & Bus). Price was double EURO 200 because of exhibition - same room half price next day (poor pricing policy). Shower cubicle was too small and floor slipery. One light not working in Bathroom. Small screen size TV (old -needs Flat Screen bigger). Depressing lighting in room. Address should be reduced to Via Pirelli 5, not what is in web page.

The hotel is next to the Pirelli Palace and is therefore easy to find. I'd ask for the Pirelli HQ rather than Via G. Pirelli first going there. The hotel's surrounding area is OK. There are nice restaurants and cafes nearby, one immediately near the hotel. You can walk to Corso Buenos Aires, the main shopping area, in 10-15 minutes, and Via Montenapoleone, the haute couture boutiques' centre is about the same distance. To the Duomo, it's better to take the underground and the Central Train Station stops (lines 1 and 3) are 100 metres from the hotel. All of the staff, from those in the front desk to the breakfast ladies were all very helpful and the receptionists spoke English well and knew their hotel and their city very well. Breakfast was a good suprise, because it has eggs, jam, butter, types of ham and cheese, and coffee, tea, and fruit juices as well as cakes and croissants; it's far, far better than most Italian hotels, e.g. in Pisa, in an equivalent 3-star hotel, they give you a croissant and a mug of coffee and they even charge you 5 euros for that, too! I stayed in a single room with a single bed. It was roomy enough and the bathroom, nearly as big as the room was more than adequate. I am not too sure about the noise levels. You can hear a tram past every 5-10 minutes and I can say that the walls aren't too thick, however, one room's wall is next to the other room's bathroom, so there's no threat of direct noise from loud neighbours.

Personae competente e gentilissimo.

The breakfast served was the worst of any hotel in Italy. Stingy: parceling out bread individually to each guest instead of a buffet, one kind of lunchmeat (Italy's chepest)... The place is kind of tattered and worn. The front desk people were friendly and tried to be helpful, although their inaccurate information on the airport bus cost ended up costing me a large sum of money.
