Well done me! I sometimes get it wrong but this hotel proved to be a great choice for a Valentine's getaway. It was a few steps from the airport shuttle, very handy for city-wide transportation, large, comfortable and expertly staffed. I particularly loved the scrambled eggs at breakfast and my partner the in-room jacuzzi. Expensive but so is everything else in Milan. And indeed everywhere in Europe since the pound crashed. The Michelangelo though - highly recommended!

The most spacious triple room we have ever stayed in! Charming and well equipped bathroom, good choice of TV channels, excellent breakfast. And, to cap it all, free minibar.

In general the hotel is good, the only issue for mi was, that for the price they have to have internet on the room, if not possible that a four start hotel, with the high price do not have internet service on wireless or wire. The dialing system is obsolete On the other hand the breadfast is very good and the room is good too

The map provided on your site was inaccurate. It was actually a better and closer site than indicated but caused much delay and wandering in finding the location. The staff was very apologetic when they found out and attempted to contact you for a correction.

We arrived in Milan on a very rainy afternoon in April and were greeted into our very large room for three .........the room was clean and I loved being able to open the window for some fresh air. The linens on the beds were crisp and clean, the refrigerator stocked for our convenience and everything was included in the price of our room. The hotel is located across the street from the central train station and it's a fine area, not in the shopping areas, which my daughter would have preferred. The local restaurants were very good and all in all.....I would stay there again, no problem.

we found hotel Michelangelo good position right opposite the train station and where our bus from the airport stopped and picked up.The area in front of the station was full of suspicious looking people, so we just walked around the square to avoid them. The reception recomended us a excellent restuarant very good value (cant remember the name)breakfast in hotel was ok plenty of everything you wanted so long as you wasent late!!

DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE AREA AROUND THE MAIN TRAIN STATION IN MILANO IS NOT PLEASANT ;ESPECIALLY IN THE EVENING;BUT THE HOTEL IS EXCELLENT FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED TO USE THE TRAIN DURING THERE STAY. THERE IS NO FITNESS CENTER WHICH IS A BIG DISADVANTAGE FOR ME.

This was, by far, the best hotel we stayed during our week in Italy. The room was lovely and spacious, and the bathroom was heaven. There was a power shower, with a jacuzzi bath-tub - perfect after a long 12 hr flight. The hotel is definitely within walking distance of the central station, and Metro. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot food as well. I'd recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here again.

You need to correct the distance from the Stazione Centrale to the hotel because it is only like 50 mts not 500 mts. I would have chosen this one before if I knew it was so close. Very good value for money.

This is a very good hotel if you're in Milan for business or vacations, it offers a good location (near Stazione Centrale, and with Metro only a few steps), It has great rooms, very clean and comfortable, good breakfast, I highly recommend this hotel.

As a frequent company traveller to Milan I usually stay at the Star Hotel Ritz, but on my last visit I was given a grotty little room so on this trip I decided to try the Michelangelo instead: The rooms are exceptionally clean and there seemed to be far less external noise than at the Ritz. The bathroom was great, particularly the power shower. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The breakfast selection impressive, especially the orange juicing machine (most hotels only offer tasteless, watered-down juice concentrate). Other plus features were the daily supply of free chilled water in the room, the availability of several English language TV satellite channels (only CNN at the Ritz), free English language newspapers from the front desk. My only complaint was that during my stay one the four lifts was out of order which meant an interminable wait for a lift in the morning. However the hotel were understanding and seemed to be doing to best to rectify this. Will definately return.

The rooms were small and rather pricey but the location was fantastic. Flying in late at night from Seattle, and then riding the hour or so bus ride in from the airport to the train station, it was nice to see our hotel right across the road. We found a nice little restaurant nearby that had great food and then enjoyed talking with the bartender while we had one last cocktail. The free Internet service above the bar was nice, also. The price was high in comparision to the rest of our trip through Italy but you pay for the convenience.

Everything was perfect, except that I was charged the double of the price Venere had quoted me, i.e., they charged me Eur.250.00 per night instead of Eur. 125.00/night. As I paid by Credit Card, should I ask the hotel directly to return me Eur.250 or could you intervene in such cases. Pls reply me Thanks.

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are extremely nice, well furnished, comfortable and the bathrooms are a dream. I did think the hotel was nearer the city center than it actually is. However, this was not a problem. We asked about booking a city tour in advance of our hotel arrival and were told it could be done on arrival. When we arrived and tried to book,it was sold out. The desk clerk went right to work and found us space on the tour when she read our E mail. Excellent service. The restaurnt was also very good.

We had stayed in a Pensione in Genoa 2 nights prior, paid the same amount, and the quality of the service and stay could not be compared. The Pensione was noisy, no soap, no elevator, etc. We couyld not get a taxi in the morning to get to the train station - and the entire experience was terrible. Coming to the Michelkangelo was the highlight of the trip and a comfort and joy.

Reservation was not actually confirmed. So, we had to show a copy of e-mail from Venere. But the rest was perfect. We got train tickets at concerge without commition. We could extend check-out time until 4:00pm. We enjoyed most of daytime in town, and took 4:00pm train to Florence without waiting on long que for tickets, which is common headache in Italy.

We were delighted with this hotel. The close proximity to the train station made it easy to transport our luggage. There was a large variety of foods offerred at breakfast, the air conditioning truly cooled the room and my daughter ws thrilled to see the mats wishing us a "Good Night" placed at the side of the bed when we returneed in the evening. We enjoyed this hotel so much that we booked an additional night on our return to Milan. We will definitely return to the Michelangelo on our next trip to Milan and have already referred the hotel to other travellers.

I've been going to the Michelangelo for years and simply used venere as the booking agent. I go there because it is very convenient to the train station, metro, and airport buses, is a sophisticated european hotel, and has a great staff. That said, many might not like some things I have no difficulties with. Being near the train station for some is a drawback. Its gaudy and bustling. I like all this however. It has real neighborhoods nearby and I found a great restaurant three blocks away. So in sum, the michelangelo is a sophisticated european business oriented hotel very conveniently located with a great staff and reasonable prices .. given how expensive Milan tends to be.

It was an excellent stay at the hotel. My only complaint would be that the pillows were too firm; but there were smaller, softer, spare pillows in the closet. Also, the freshly squeezed orange juice was great.

This is a very expensive, but nice hotel, directly across from the station, and with friendlier service than most Milan hotels. It is extremely difficult to find a room in the city during peak fairs. There are nicer and cheaper places to stay when Milan is not crowded (often with discounted web rates), but this was an excellent hotel.

Very close to station and major public transport, atmosphere is businesslike and efficient, also quite impersonal, decor not inspiring (lobby looks rather seedy), but rooms are fine, clean, with nice small extra´s (turning down of bed in the evening and laying out of pajama's, bathrobe and slippers provided); at half price (late booking) a good bargain!
