Hotel Mercurio - Milan

Well, I needed an unexpensive hotel with free wi-fi and that's the one. The surroundings are not too nice - you wouldn't want to walk the streets alone at midnight... Also all the places where you could buy smth close at 6-7 pm. When arrived to the hotel from Malpensa at 11 pm I couldn't even wash my face as there are no places around where they sell bottled water. Electric kettle in the hotel was broken so once you wanted to have a cup of tea, you would have to go to a cafe nearby. In case you are trying to save some money, you could go to the market and buy lots of fruit there. The only thing, I was working in Milano and I had to leave before it opens (11am) and was coming back after it is closed already. So if you're gonna be busy and you're not a pizza-fan, you'll have to eat somewhere else... The staff is pretty helpful, they speak some English... In case you come to Milano not to practice your English with hotel staff, it's totally ok. Oh, one frustration, they don't have soap... Their English wasn't enough to explain to me why :) Btw, there's a railway nearby so it may bother those sensitive to these sort of things... Anyway, I repeat, I received exactly what I paid for except for inability to have tea in my room and inability to wash my hands with soap :)
