The value for money is poor. The rooms are not spacious and you can hear from one room to the other even a phone ringing in vibrationg mode. The welcoming of the receptionist was pleasant and warm! But for sure not worth 99 euros per night for the room I stayed. There would be nice to have also free internet access but is not available. The breakfast was good enough.

A basic room in a basic hotel. The staff was cool and unhelpful (a request to reserve a spot at the Last Supper was declined with the explanation that you have to make the reservation months in advance; a phone call to the site got us a reservation the next day). Easy walk to the train and Metro station. Breakfast was plentiful and good.

When one of the rooms was not as we have ordered (a non-smoking room), they relatively fast change room for no extra costs. The same situation was with the one who was supposed to be a double room but look more like a single...., they also immediately get us a new one very fast. Nice work!

Not the cheapest hotel, but reasonable price. Location was the most important thing: just few hundred meters away from the railway station. Difficult to say anything special, because I arrived about 9 p.m. and left the hotel at 4 a.m. next morning!

I stay at this hotel every few months and the staff are very nice and speak english but like a customer who tries bad italian ;) Has aircon in room. One time the room next to me was quite noisy (happens anywhere) but if you need somewhere 5 minutes walk from main train station (Centrale), this is cheap and good. I recommend it (or try Hotel Berna in same street).

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in May and were horrified by the snobby hotel staff, something we didn't run into anywhere else in Italy. Their "double" bed isn't double sized, more like a large twin that doesn't fit two pillows wide. Since my hubby is over six foot, we were pretty cramped. The AC is a window unit, and ours made a terrifying racket. After it warmed itself, it sounded like it was falling out of the window every 15 minutes. But it was 90º outside, so we needed it on even at night, though it scared us awake. We got used to it, however; we'd shut it off, then wake stiflingly hot and turn it on again for another hour until it freaked out, repeatedly through the nights. Other than the AC issue, everything worked fine, though fixtures were old and spare. Hotel puts out a good breakfast and things were clean. The overall cost is far too high for the age of the rooms and furnishings, and the staff is dishearteningly unfriendly. It is a quick walk from the train station and easy to find, but the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, especially at night. I wouldn't stay here again.

It is a good hotel with confortable and clean rooms, employees are very polite, brekfast is good, price is low for a Italian hotel and is located very closed to Milano Central Railway Station. A very good choice!

I have scarcely ever had a more unpleasant stay in a hotel. I was a woman traveling by myself. I asked specifically for a very quiet room, as I was extremely tired and coming down with a cold. I went to dinner, came back and went to bed. A few minutes later someone started dumping glass bottles for several minutes in the bottom of the area right below my room. It was very noisy and kept me awake until about 11 p.m. I then went to sleep. at about 3 a.m. a person started hauling around paper and garbage in the same area directly below my room, and continued to do so for over an hour. I called the desk, asked them to stop it, and they did nothing. I finally yelled out the window to stop. The man said it was his job, and kept it up. At 5:30 I finally showered, and went down and asked that the desk person confirm my return flight. He could not get the airline on the phone, nor could he print out my travel documents. I asked for an early breakfast since I'd only gotten 4 hours of sleep: "No , we serve at 7 a.m" so I went to the train station, got some food, went to the airport, waited another 3 hours, then went home. It was my worst hotel stay ever!

The hotel was not 150m from the central station as described. It was about 10 minute walk from the station. The checking-in was efficient. The hotel staff were polite. The room initially looked ok. The bed was just good enough to sleep. The bathroom was not small, but poorly designed (the space was rather wasted). The toilet was quite strange but was effective. The shower (in the bathtub) was weak and the bathtub was disgusting. The air-conditioning was so noisy that it really disturbed our sleep. We felt like we were sleeping in a construction site. We were in Milan in June and it was hot and humid (about 30'c everyday). The air-conditioning was attached to the window (similar to the ones in New York) and when it rained, it added spectacular noise (the sound of the rain hitting the unit) to the already extremely noisy unit. Because of the dirty shower and the noisy air-conditioning, we will not return to this hotel again. The breakfast was ok (not exciting, but rather eatable food). There weren't many places to eat near the hotel. The area surrounding the hotel was very quiet (there was nothing but apartment blocks). The only places we found were an outdoor wine bar next to the entrance to the hotel and a Japanese restaurant run by Chinese on the other side of the block. As it was quite hot to sit outside even at night, we tried the Japanese restaurant (air-conditioned). It was cheap but was surprisingly nice. But as our Italian was very basic (they speak Italian or Chinese, but not English), we had a minor language barrier. But it was nothing like having to tolerate the air-conditioning noise or the disgusting shower.

This hotel had really deserved its 3* in the past. Unfortunately, the last visit was a nightmare. To save their money on your health and comfort, the management was so "clever" to put so called "centralized airconditioning"! Beware such hotels during the summer time, which have this type of conditioning. First of all it did not work well at all, no cold air arrived to the room, but rather slightly warm airstreams. After the 4 hours of activity my room still had the same temperature as it was outside, about 28! Second was the noise, that made this device. Such approach for their clients is absolutely inacceptable for the 3* hotel, so I downgrade it to the ordinar 2*.

The hotal is located cery close to the train station, only 5 min. walking. Goof for a short stay of 1 or 2 days for a quick tour of Milan. We only stayed for 2 nights as a stop over hotel for our Italian tour. The room was exceptionally small but no worse than many European hotel of this class. Not particulary bad or good.

Booked the hotel at the last minute. My usual hotels in Milan were unavailable, so I tried the Mennini. I arrived late from Genova and was greeted coldly at the desk. I needed to meet friends at Malpensa quite early so I let it slide. The room was as big as an Italian closet. The bed was big enough for a child. I am 6'1". The bathroom was bigger than the sleeping area of the room. A friend drove from Pavia to pick up some books from me and they would not allow him to come to my room. They said I had only paid for a single and no one else could be in the room. I was very embarrassed and angry. In over 40 years of travel, I have never heard such a ridiculous comment. I left at 5:30 that morning for Malpensa, no breakfast and no sleep. I should have slept at the airport. It would have been cheaper, more comfortable, and by far, more friendly. A disaster!

This Hotel was reasonably close to the main train station and Metro. However we did have to dodge some seedy looking characters on the walk from the station to our Hotel. Both the main room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The continential breakfast was adequate. The room had a mini bar and there was a computer with internet access (for a good price) in the lobby. If you are used to eating dinner early (i.e. 6:00PM) you will be dining at McDonalds as the nearby restaurants open at approximately 7:30pm.

I payed €120 for a two night stay. The room (nr. 408) was confortable, although with an old bathroom (to be roughly dated to the early sixties)and without a normal armoire with normal doors. Good continental breakfast. The surroundings are full of hotels, from average ones to luxury. At € 60 per night Mennini is probably a little expensive for the quality of room, but is not a bad choice if you have to stay one or two days in Milan.

A very nice hotel w/ welcoming, English-speaking staff. Not so near the train station as we were led to believe. The street isn't easy to find even w/ map and directions from bystanders--especially w/ luggage in the pouring rain. However, the room was ready at about 9 a.m., a relief after our transatlantic flight. A good value for a big city. I'd recommend the Menini to anyone for a short stay in Milano.
