Hotel Losanna - Milan
Via Piero Della Francesca 39 - Milan
877-662-6988The property is only a few minutes away from the most important tourist, commercial and industrial areas of the city.
Fully refurbished and restructured, exclusive and refined, it offers you comfort and elegance at truly advantageous rates. High professionalism and a very discreet and efficient staff are our feather on the cap and will certainly make you feel at home.
Good for an overnight stay for business. Very noisy when the person next door had a shower at 6.00 in the morning. On the whole ok considering the price paid.

Basic clean room. The hotel is not centrally located and the tram lines have changed so the directions given when we booked were wrong. Having said that once we worked out the trams it was a 5 minute ride into the city.

This hotel was in a great little neighbourhood but it was a good walk/tram trip to get to the centro. Some good local restaurants, bars with apperitivi and friendly, helpful tobacconists and waiters are nearby! Good value for price and certainly nothing to complain about - breakfast was reasonable and the coffee machine never failed!

The hotel localization is good, with easy access to public transportation to the main touristic attractions. The worker in the reception when we arrived didn´t speak English very well. The smell of the bathroom could be a little better... There is a good tratoria on the corner close to the hotel, as well as a cafe for snacks. The quietness was good, excluding the moments when people left the restaurants on the street in front of the property.

Hotel was closed. They offered another hotel named Piccolo. Terrible! Unpleasant rude person on the reseption. They switch on deodorants everywhere. It stinked of unthinkable! Everything was very old. Breakfast was no bad. It was the worst accommodation on whole our trip! I would not recommend it to anyone.

It's wonderful! The room is clean and the reception staff is warmhearted although she's not very good at english. As soon as we arrived, she took out a map and tell us where are worth to view and how to go, and she also made en excellent plan for us. That's very useful. It saved us so many time. By the way, there's a little restaurant near Losanna named TRATTORIA and the food of it is delicious and cheap. I think i will come back to Losanna if I visit Milano some day again, and my two friends also like this hotel very much.

Hotel is very pretty and clean. The gentleman in the nightshift was very helpful and speaks good English. Hotel is located a little far from the main tourist attractions, but is worth it for the peace and quiet. The bus stop is just a block away. Breakfast was decent.

I just stayed there one night after watching a concert in the very close Arena Civica (10-15 on foot or 7-8 bus stops) so i had no special requests. Only bad point, the room was not yet serviced at 4 pm! I wanted to take a little rest before the concert and i couldn't. Otherwise, fair accomodation for the price.

For Italy and Milano - this was a fantastic deal! Easy to travel by bus or tram to the center. Great, friendly service. Room was not terribly spacious but there are worse. For the price, it is incredibly spacious, clean and quiet. Great place for value and stay! I would recommend to anyone who wants to experience Italy at it's best - without pretense. Also - It is near new clubs and some pretense with restaurants.

The hotel is renovated and the rooms are new and clean. I'm very happy to have spent a night in this hotel. I had the car so it was no problem for me to reach the hotel. Anyway it seems there is a near by bus stop to city center. The car parking is about 600 meters from the hotel and it costs 14 Euros/night.

The hotel is not in a bad area, and the front reception staff is quite nice. However, the A/C does NOT work (in any of the rooms!), hot water is not always available in the mornings, and there is construction work nearby that interrupts you if you are planning on sleeping in. The hotel is also located on quite a busy street, so even leaving the window open for ventilation means you have to deal with the noise from outside on a constant basis. I would recommend you try another hotel.

Nice, spacious room with small terrace, modern furniture. Air conditioning ineffective, but not a problem with French doors to terrace. Quiet neighborhood. Easy access to tram line to get to Duomo / museums area in 15 minutes. Wonderful, huge park closer than that. Complimentary continental breakfast. Nearby eateries. Quite enjoyed 3 days.

Very warm embrace, we got our arriving-cappuccino for free, staff very friendly and english-speaking, price above average but that weekend we stayed there was formula-one at monza nearby, so all hotels in the milan area increased their prices. surroundings of hotel okay, some bars, some shops. bus stop is 50m away from hotel, therefore city centre (duomo etc.) is reachable in good 10 mins. recommendable

We would like to give some tips from what we did during our stay in Milan! Already the first day we discovered that Hotell Losanna is situated only 50 meters from one of Milan's hottest multi-event clubs (DISCO - BAR - MEETING) i e The Gattopardo Cafe! The Gattopardo Cafe has Happy Hour (often called "Aperitivo" in Italy), Tuesday-Sunday between 1800-2200 hrs. During Happy Hour all drinks costs Euro 6. The Gattopardo Cafe is a early nineteenth century church, deconsacrated in the 1970s, which has taken on new life as a multi-event club in the heart of Milan. For more information see www.ilgattopardocafe.com/index.php?L=e The next day we had "Happy Hour/Aperitivo" at "Honky Tonks" Via F. lli Induno/Via Lamazzo, (within walking distance from hotel Losanna) www.worldsbestbars.com/city/Milan/HonkyTonks.asp The next day we decided to go to "Anema e Cozze" (41, Corso Sempione,) which is situated on a parallell street to hotell Losanna http://www.promocard.it/locations/show.php?id=4871 "Anema e cozze" cohabits the two souls of the Neapolitan kitchen: the pizza and the sea, mackerel, sardines and anchovies, mussels and clams. the sea theme is constantly proposed in the preparation of the place: great sirens in copper welcome the customer, drive him amongst gullets and nets, recreating atmospheres underlined by a menu that proposes daily the most fresh sea specialties, as retrieved in the mornings at the market. Hope you enjoy hotel Losanna and Milan as much as we do!

The breakfast was very poor.Only a biskuit and a cup of tea. It was very loud in the night because of the big street right to the hotel so it was very difficult to sleep.

This is a cheep hotel. The rooms are small, the beds uncomfortable, the coffee is horrible. The thing that makes it okay is the service. The people that run this hotel are very nice. That doesn't make up for the very long walk to and from the various transit systems. Don't even try to take the subway there. The only way is to take a tram and get directions from the hotel.

Overall, this is a pretty nice Hotel. It is very reasonably priced. the rooms are spacious, clean and quiet, and it is well placed to get into centre of town using the trams. Also not too hard to find off the freeway. The main difficulty, at least for us, was that none of the staff really speak much English, making some of the comunication difficult. This is exacerbated by not having handy info in the room, such as Check-out time and times of breakfast etc. One of the airconditioning units had a faulty switch - it worked, but you had to play with it to get it to come on. We would probably stay here again if in Milan, as overall its a pretty decent place for the price. There was also a very nice restaurant just on the corner by the hotel.

The only inconvenience if you don't speak italian is that the staff does not speak english. The correspondende between web page and actual property is excellent. It has very good comunication with the centre of Milan. The bus 57 is just a few steps right to the hotel, and the trams 19 and 33 come via Corso Sempione.

I was dissapinted by the quality of service. Firstly the hotel staff does not speak english. I was not so troubled by this fact(after all we were in Italy) but by the fact that one of the employees was fairly impolite and incompetent. He told us, at the last minute, that the hotel does not accept credit cards, sending us scurrying to find an ATM. Moreover he forgot to wake us up in the morning (we would have missed the flight back home if not for my insomnia). So I am quite unhappy and will not visit the hotel again if I am in Milan.

The Losanna is a very nice hotel in a sort of resedential area.there is not much to do in the immediate area, but the bus stop is right there and the tram is a 3 min walk. You take the # 33 tram from the central train station, 20 min. There is a little street noise if you leave the window open. The nite manager is a little scarry but fun once you get to know him, the day manager is beautiful and as helpful as she can be. the hotel is spotlessly clean and has a very nice and spacious bathroom. we got carry out pizza down the street and wine at the grocery 1 block away staying here made Milon a great value.

Not too bad.....Close to the tram and shops....noisy in the mornings as the marble floors echo everything so if you like to sleep in this might not be for you Buono.....vicino alla fermata del tram e vicino ai negozi. Terrible hotel with difficult access from the street into reception, unsuitable for elderly or disabled people. The room was extremely basic, the fridge and the air conditioning did not work. Not good in the summer!! The breakfast was very basic, wouldn't call it brekfast although the lady serving it who also cleaned and made up the rooms was very helpful. The location was not ideal and quite far from the centre, not suitable for a family with young children. The furnishings in the room were very basic and cheap. We were covered in mosquito bites after just one nights stay! Overall we felt we did not get value for money at all and overcharged. We also stayed in the Grand Doria (minutes away from the Central Station) which represented excellent value for money! Would never stay in the Losanna again but would definitely go back to the Grand Doria.

A little gem! WAs expecting something awful with it being so cheap but it was absolutely brilliant. Even with three of us sharing a room we had plenty space. The rooms were spotless and well equipped (hairdryer and fridge!) and the staff, with the exception of the night porter couldn't do enough to help. In the business area, on the bus and tram routes and close to the metro this place is really well located. Would definetly recommend this one!
