The hotel is not so close to center and so we were dissapointed because we were told it is very near center and the room would be quite but there was construction beside hotel so it was noisy. But it was clean.I do not prefer again.

Ottima soluzione: rapporto qualità/prezzo davvero buona. Purtroppo non siamo riusciti a concordare un late check out. La colazione non era all'altezza di un quattro stelle, ma complessivamente è una soluzione ben più che raccomandabile. Come coppia gay siamo stati accolti più che benevolmente.

This was a good place to stay for a first visit by a couple arriving by train. We were able to walk from the central station to the hotel. We were provided with a suite-size room on the top floor where we could see the Duomo if we stretched a bit. It is now completely restored to its pristine rose-white beauty and can be seen from almost any point in the city. Breakfast was a dream with fried eggs and ham as well as pastry, cereals, etc. but in tight quarters. The lounge area near the bar was a perfect place to catch up on the news with a generous supply of local papers. We could walk to the center of town, the cathedral area, in a few minutes and from there go almost anywhere on foot. The city is a shopper's paradise with everything on display artistically, no matter what the neighborhood (from super chic to very popular). We were able to catch the antique fair along the river and take in the shops and wine bars along the way. The only negative point : pollution.

The hotel was quite comfortable however its general location was not what I expected. I thought it would be closer to the Duomo but still it was not bad. Only a ten minute walk. At times the hotel staff seemed very impersonal especially at the front desk. This is more of hotel that caters to corporate travelers.

Hotel pulito e comodo. Il prezzo per un quattro stelle non è alto ma anche la qualità dei servizi offerti non è alta (sempre considerando si tratta di un quattro stelle). La colazione non è proprio da quattro stelle... Nel complesso un buon hotel: ci tornerò.

We somehow got a double room with bathroom for 75 euro/night. It was decent, but pretty much like a Super 8 hotel quality. They had pay TV for 11 euro, but after we paid for it we found out the english movies were not playing in english for some reason. This was the only hotel we stayed at that wasn't able to check us in early so we had to wait until 2pm, and the front desk staff was less than friendly. But we were only staying there one night, so it was fine.

It was very pleasant to stay at Lloyds. The staff was not friendly but nice. My only complaint is the Breakfast service. We got there at 9:30 and most of the selections for breakfast were gone. Especially a warm dish of scramble eggs. I asked the attendance and she was not very helpful she replied no more scramble eggs available and went off. People like me that does not eat cereal or milk or sweet rolls in the morning due to allergies is very difficult to eat what is very little available. The coffee was good and toast. Overall it was a pleasent stay at Lloyds.

This was an incredibly challenging experience for us. We arrived into Milan late by car from Verona and when we called the hotel for directions from Milano Centro, were told to "ask someone on the street" how to get to the hotel as it was too difficult for the desk to describe to us where we should go. After driving around for 45 minutes, we located the hotel. As we were staying only one night to prepare for an early departure from Malpensa the next morning, I did not expect superior service. I was not disappointed. The front desk clerk was cold and unsympathetic to our extensive attempt to find the hotel. We had booked a "suite" on Venere.com and could only laugh when we entered our top floor room. It was two conference rooms joined in the center by a hallway with a bathroom at the end. One "bedroom" of the suite had pull down wall bed withs a full conference room table and chairs. The other "room" had a king size bed (if you could call it that). Yes we were tired and I'm certain our mood affected our stay...but I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel unless you have no desire to spend any time in your room. Normally I would have requested a "better" room but considering we were departing in 8 hours I chalked it up to late arrival and the typical hotel response to "one-nighters".

We had a double room here and this was a very nice hotel for a long weekend, with a nice breakfast. Most of all it was comfortable and pretty close to the main attractions of Milan

Recently spent four nights at the Hotel Lloyd. The hotel is extremely well maintained and we were impressed with the professional attitude of the staff. No complaints about our room and the breakfasts were excellent. There have been negative comments in the past about the Robert de Niro lookalike who oversees the breakfast area but he is extremely efficient and can even crack a smile when you venture to ask for more coffee! I would recommend this hotel highly for location.

The room were clean and the hotel was in a convenient area. Our room faced the back (we requested a room not overlooking the main street). There was no noise from outside, but from early morning you could hear the hotel staff (i.e., doors slamming, garbage cans being dumped, talking). The service was in general fine while we were there. However, after checking out, we left our luggage to do last minute siteseeing. When we returned, we asked to use the restroom. The response was, apparently, they do not have a restroom for public use in the hotel. They asked that we use the restaurant around the corner, but then said, unfortunately, the restaurant is probably closed... If I remember correctly, Lloyd is listed as a 4-star hotel; I think this is inaccurate.

The hotel is located on a crowded noisy main road. Tough equipped with double-glazing windows, the high street noise is well sensed. Since no air-conditioning is available before May the first (so the front-desk said), on a hot spring night, like the one we’ve encountered, you are forced to open the windows… and that surely kills any slim chance of having any night rest what so ever. The earsplitting street is practically in your bed. We spent there one night only, one to many in our opinion. Don’t go there before checking that the A/C operates.

The desk staff wasn't friendly and there was construction in the street that started early in the morning. We loved the breakfast buffet and the clean bright room. It was excellent value for the money. Located near the Duomo, it was accessible to restaurants, shops and trasportation. Parking was expensive at 20 Euro per day, which put us a bit over budget. I would stay here again if I were to visit Milan. Don't visit Milan on April 25, which is their liberation day and the whole city shuts down.

The hotels own brochure and most web sites say "wonderful view for guests of the gothic cathederal" this is only true if you are on the front of the hotel and on a high floor where you can just see the cathederal through gaps in the buildings opposite. the hotel is not as near to the duomo as made out in the brochures, but only 8-10 mins walk.I found the staff friendly and polite and whist I love the sounds of the town a lot of people may find the noise from the trams and cobbled roads a little excessive. All things considered a good value hotel.

Hotel location was excellent, just minutes on foot from Piazza Duomo and very close to the bus from Linate airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, but fairly small. Main complaints would be that the pillows on the bed were almost non existent, and the bathroom was well below the standard expected of a four star hotel.

Basically it was good. negativ aspects were: the garage offered in the web page was not included in the price, we had to pay extra just minus 20% discount. in the morning the noise of the toilet flush and shower of the room from above rooms was very loud and woke us up. our toilet at that time started to flush by itself permanently too.

We booked a suite - it was a very big room - only thing was: it was quite dark - and the view was very limited from our skylight windows. other than that the hotel was nice - breakfast was good. I personally wouldn't stay there again - but mostly because it is a bit out of the way from the train station and the city centre.

We had an extremely bad experience at Lloyds hotel on my last trip in June 2002. The hotel security is very poor as one of shopping bag containing four branded leather bag items were stolen when my baggage were held in storage by the reception staff. Not only the reception staff were not helpful, they were extremely defensive and shook all responsiblities. I have been a regular hotel guests of Lloyd hotel for the last three years, but I have decided to take my business else where because I am totally disappointed with Lloyd Hotel. I hope that you can refer my feedback to the Lloyd hotel management for them to seriously look into their hotel security.
