The ecotourism philosophy is spread throughout the hotel: several solutions are adopted to reduce the impact of the facilities on the environment, such as the use of alternative energy sources, low voltage light bulbs, ecological paper and toiletries with a fully recyclable packaging.Another element of distinction which represents the environmental friendliness of the Hotel La Residenza is its innovative BiologicBar, a coffee-bar with also lunch service, with food and drinks from organic and biodynamic farming. The BiologicBar is open to the public too: meeting point for the locals, it’s also the ideal for a rich 100% organic aperitif in an international atmosphere. On request it’s possible to organize parties and banquets. At the restaurant of this ecohotel the day starts with a delicious buffet breakfast with its sweet and savory specialties, with some items from biological agriculture. At dinner guests can taste the typical Italian gastronomy, with some dishes from organic farming and some vegetarian food, accompanied with excellent biological wines. For soccer lovers, there is also a large screen to enjoy live matches.
Among the range of services available, there is an Internet Point in the hall and WiFi connection, garage (surcharge; must be reserved in advance), laundry service, garden equipped with tables and diffused music. Bus tickets can be purchased at the front desk, daily excursions booked, and private airport transfer service arranged. This eco-friendly hotel is also a short distance from Fieramilano of Rho-Pero (11 km, thanks to the vicinity of the highway) and Fieramilanocity (5 km). A good deal for 80 E a night. Double paned windows-perfectly quiet. Breakfast OK in a nice dining room. Got help finding rental car return. Not far from train staion to Malpensa A/P - 10 E by taxi. 8 minutes walk from Metro. To operate the air condition get the remote from reception. Room a bit small but nice & clean.

This hotel claims to be an eco hotel, but it isn't really that eco friendly. Shutters on windows are a good eco idea. Central heating usually isn't so eco friendly - usually better to warm individual areas as required by air cond. Bio friendly breakfast was mainly in packages from various accredited suppliers, but I had expected local fresh foods, rather than prepackaged foods from all over Europe. The welcome drink was nice, but still came from bottles and cartons. We had just come from Santorini Greece, where jams and yoghurts were home-made, breads baked locally etc.(even if they didn't have any certification) So if you want to be politically correct in regard to ecology, then La Residenza is your hotel,(you can become an instant expert of Feng Shui....mentioned in their advertising as well... but it didn't even have a water feature that I could see)... but hard to imagine that it would have as much benefit to the environment as the advertising implies. Location not very convenient. It is set in a suburban street in a building which was probably an old hospital or apartment block. Satisfactory accomodation, but it didn't seem to be what was written on the tin.

The hotel is situated in a very pleasant and safe area, near a beautiful park. It is connected to the center of town by metro (about 300 m of the Affori Centrale station). Breakfast is suitable for all tastes: you can have Continental, English, Eastern Europe breakfast. In case you leave hotel early in the morning, before seven o'clock, you can have a cup of excellent coffee and a croissant from the hotel bar. We enjoyed our stay there being one of the best price versus quality choice.

This is my first time travelling to Milan. Everything was good - nice staff, tasty breakfast, clean room and bathroom. Besides, as we need to take the next plane at the early moorning, La Residenza can help us to book a shuttle van to the Milan Airport which cost us 80euros, I think it fit us a lot to catch the plane preventing from the heavy traffic. I recoommended this hotel a lot.

It should be clear from the start on the web that the hotel is quite far from the center. The hotel part is good enough (except for the narrow roomspace, though). The staff is fine. The trouble lies in the double standards concerning "ecology": on one side, the stress on the saving of energy cuts the hotel's expenses, for sure, "ecoworld" and all, but on the other side, the standard of quality for food is low and not ecological at all(there is not even a real "fruit juice no sugar added" for breakfast!). Why, if not for a one way profit that does not give a damn about customers ?

My husband and I stayed here for a few days when travelling round Italy and France. Not a good area. Hotel was ok, however no garage and the restaurant was closed for the full of August which meant we had to go out all the time. We always had to take the car as the hotel is in the middle of the ghetto! The hotel is nice enough, and once you get in the grounds, you forget the surrounding area, but not good if you are not driving and want access to Milan centre as it's about 10 minutes in the car.

Especially nice was the eco-idea, which is why I chose the hotel in the first place. Arriving from Malpensa 1 to Bivosa, there was no other option than walking to Residenza, as no taxi was available. It was an adventure, without a map. Leaving the hotel was smooth, bus + metro. This information would be good to have on the website, as well as instruction (street map) how to reach it by foot. I was tired and soaking wet when I finally reached the hotel, but was received in such a nice way! Kitchen was closed, but a nice dinner was ordered from a pizzeria nearby. Breakfast next morning was rich and tasty. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere, which was kind, beautiful, tranquil. Lots of beautiful items to rest your eyes on. The ecohotel concept is here to stay! Nice bed, not too soft even for a person used to sleeping on a futon. No smoking was fine, I am allergic to cigarret smoke. My room was a single with bath. Very nice, thank you! Church bells ringing in the morning was nice, too.

Little bit further out that I expected, but once we figured out the bus and train system it was very cheap, quick and simple to get into the middle of milan. Once the next tube stop on the yellow line (3) gets built it should be even easier and take about 7 minutes. Area looked a little dodgy as we got a taxi to the hotel on the first night.. but the hotle was nicely secluded, the area looked much better in daytime. Breakfast was ok, but not amazing... rest of the food in milan was awesome.. especially the apertivo in navigli. Shame the coffee is only from a machine.. but if you pay cash its free so can't complain. Duomo was great too.. but the centre is pretty small and you can probably see all milan has to offer in a long weekend. Get the bus from the airport.. its only 10 minutes longer than the train, and costs half the price. To get to la rezedencia get the bus to the central station (4euro, 45mins) get the tube line 3 to the end (1e, 5 mins) and then get the bus (42, 70, 52?) 5 stops (1e, 5mins) then walk for 1 minute. Easier than it sounds.

Our stay in La Residenza was very good. Reception was quite good. Transfer services of the hotel was very useful though a bit expensive. The elevator was not spacious and its floor used to make noise while you step in. Staffs at the reception was very helpful. The only exception was that we were not informed that eateries/reataurants nearby the hotel closes by 07:00PM while we were inquiring about a paticular restaurant (pizzeria) around 06:30PM on our first day stay. Breakfast served in the hotel was very good and staffs were around to monitor the needs of the guests. Once I misplaced my handycam batteries during my stay in the hotel, which were retrieved by one of the woman staff (who was quite impressive and attractive) from the transfer vehicle; in fact the driver of the transfer vehicle handed it over to the hotel staff.

We could not find the area of the hotel in the map. The hotel is found far from the city centre in a not so nice neighbourhood. It was difficult to find a restaurant nearby. We had booked a place in the parking of the hotel, but they had not keep it, because we had to call them before our arrival just to confirm the booking, as they had told us. So, we had leave our car outside the hotel, where it was very difficult to find a free place. The breakfast was marvellous and rich. The rooms were not so spacious, but they were clean. We had a good stay in la Residenza. The rooms and the hotel were very clean with a lot of good details but in the photos the rooms semmed a little bit bigger. The personnel was very friendly and gave us a good reception and all the information we asked for.The breakfast buffet was good. If you know how the bus lines work, the hotel has a good comunication with public transport service with a very near bus stop. Only 20 min. from the centre. If I remember correctly you can take from Machiccini metro station the buses No. 27, 49 or 52 that stops 200 away from the hotel in Rossi Pastro bus stop. If you're going to Milan and you are looking for a nice place to spend that days I recommend you la Residenza

Following directions given on the Venere site it was very easy to get to "La Residenza" a charming hotel with many beautiful details and a good female touch. Bus stop at short walking distance and the city centre at no more than 20'. Very nice buffet breakfast in a nice dining room and a relaxing garden where I got a drink at candle light. The area was a surprise, it is quite, green and I felt safe walking by myself. I coudn't find a tabacconist open at 11.30 p.m. and this is not a good point for an international city as Milan. I accidentally lost my wallet with 500,00 euros cash within in the lobby and a waitress found it and left it at the reception. Very honest and kind staff. I can say that quality of services provided were excellent. THANKS and see you soon! Mrs. R. Brown

Hotel ok but in a down market area. Do not purchase tourist information as it is FREE at the tourist office in Milan. Easy to get to on local transport.

I would definitely never stay here again! Although their service was ok and friendly, the hotel itself was terrible. The walls are literary paper thin and you can here the other guests perfectly clear. The location was horrible! Way outside of the city center; however, you can take the bus to the subway and about 2 or 3 stops away... I would not stay in this hotel again.

We were very satisfied with our stay at hotel La Residenza. The staff was extreamly helpful in any way and spoke excellent english. They gave us directions to a pizzeria nearby where we had the best pizzas on our trip in Italy. We definitely recommend this hotel.

A pleasant and friendly hotel, although in August the restaurant was closed, as were most of the facilities in the surrounding area.

Wellkome was OK. The map they provided on the net was excelent. Services are good but the room was small. There is not writen on the description that you have to reserve the garage, and you have the surprise that there is a fee of 15 Euro for each day. Th neibarhood is not excelent but the connections with the center are good. The rate price/quality is excellent.

This was located in a residential area and next to the autostrada. It was difficult to find since we didn't drive in on the autostrada, although the map they e-mailed at booking did help some. You can catch a bus to the city center just down the street, if you don't want to drive in. The traffic on the autostrada was audible, it didn't bother too much, but if you're a light sleeper it may. We only wish they had had a mini refrigerator in the room. They allow 10 minutes free internet access, $4 per hour after that. The breakfast had quite a good variety to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They charge 1 euro for an area map which I found strange, every other hotel gives them to you free. They have pay garage parking for $15/ day or free parking on the street. You only get breakfast free if you pay cash and they do not take traveler's checks. Not sure what they charge for breakfast if you pay by credit card. They have a restaurant as well, but it was closed for August holidays. For traveler's who are not driving, I am not sure it would be the easiest, most accessible choice.

La Residenza was a nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff. On two evenings there was a party with loud music in the church-congregation beneath. But that is not all days ... The street is very quiet on normal days. There is a good connection via bus to metro-station Maciachini. We enjoyed our trip to Milano and recommend this nice Hotel. P.S. A rich breakfast buffet was included in the price after having payed by cash at arrival.

Gerne wieder.

Very nice hotel and very friendly staff. The room is tiny but clean. The Web site mentioned that the breakfast is included but actually it is included if you pay cash only, I knew it before hand by the comments of other people. The direction on the web site is not up to date, so please up date it, I got lost the first date but the staff helped to know my way later.

Its a nice smallish hotel. Rooms are spotless and of good size. Dinner mune is a bit disapointing. Didn't go all the way to Italy to eat roast turkey and pork. Hardly any traditional recipes. Staff are nice, friendly and helpful. Only problem is that the venere map is very misleading of where the hotel actually is, its a lot further away from the city centre that first thought.

We were provided a room near the elevator. The noise made by the elevator all night long made it impossible for us to sleep. When mentioned to the person on duty the next day, she told us the place had just been renovated and made no effort to apologise or offer us anything more in the way of a discount for the inconvenience other than to waive the EUR 10 parking fee we would have been charged, even though there was no such mention of any fee in the description provided on their web page. A very unsatisfactory outcome and not a very welcoming hotel. Very far from central Milan and only found by chance due to poor signposting and inaccurate directions provided. Cannot recommend this property - grateful we only stayed one night!!!

If you pay cash instead of creditcard , you can have a free breakfast in the morning . But nobody keeps track of that , so if you pay by creditcard , you can get that free breakfast also . This is a nice/good hotel . Only one bad thing ; it's not near the centre of Milan .
