the hotel is situated on the 6th(? I dont remember exact) floor of the standard house. shared bathroom - clean. the rooms looking to the busy street with the tram ongoing, co better to take inner yard looking rooms. But overall - OK

Non mi è sembrato un hotel fenomenale, anche in funzione del prezzo (basso). Camera piccola e separata da una pseudo-porta a scorrimento con snodo.

The hotel was in a good location close to the centre, but was extremely noisy and very hot! We stayed 2 nights and got hardly any sleep at all. In the morning when we went to check out early, no one was there so we left the key on the counter. We did not have breakfast cause there is a very small area to stand and eat breakfast if you choose. The price was not that cheap for the low quality of the rooms.

I stayed in double bed room without bathroom. The first time, I got into the room, it smells something. That was a problem but got used to it a while later. Hotel is located in 6th floor of a building and space for elevator is really small. possibly only one person can get in. So if you have a really big suit case, you would have a hard time to go up to 6th floor.
USA, Mar 2009
well, perhaps, if I wanted hard to safe money and the room would cost 15-20 Euro, I would return there for one night (not more). We were lucky to get in there late in the night and to check out before 6 in the morning, I couldn't stay there longer. I could see that room was clean, but everything was so old, that you always feel like it's durty. There is no free space in the room at all, looks like a balcony is bigger than a room, perhaps summer visitors could enjoy it, but it was a question how to get into balcony, because the door was blocked by wardrobe..... It was no place to put two suitcases on floor. Even the door into room was more nerrow than standard. Bathroom....... 1m X 1,5 m - you have all, shower, toilet, sink... it's senseless to tell, that when you take shower everything is wet, because there is no curtain there. The only plus is receptionist, who was nice and helpfull, but I think this is very weak plus comparing to all other negative expirience.

Good situation near the railway station (Milano Centrale) and close to the metro. Nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The elevator is very small, it may cause difficulties to families travelling with much luggage. The balcony is nice!

Hotel Kennedy is a small hotel on the sixth floor of an older style building in a very central location.Access to public transport is good and there is shopping and restaurants nearby. The only breakfast they serve is croissant and coffee in the room but there is a small cafe across the road. The owners speak English and are very helpful.Only drawbacks are the traffic noise from the main road in front and difficulty of access via very small lifts.

Good, clean, efficient. Only criticism was the bed was a bit soft/worn out. Hotel prices in Milan very expensive but this one relatively reasonable. Near to very interesting areas of Milan and public transport and of coarse very convenient for the central station. Staff at the hotel were very helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at the Kennedy and would recommend it to anyone traveling to "costoso" Milano who is on a budget. The area is right in the middle of the city, about halfway between the Stazione Centrale and the piazza Duomo. The hosts are kind and caring, but there is not a lot of English here. So, a little Italian with some sign language should do the trick. The front desk is manned 24/7 and the hotel is right across the street from the porta Venezia metro stop. Please be aware that Milano is a really big city, visualize NYC LA or Chicago. There is a lot of traffic and it goes all night long. If you are a city dweller you will not be surprised, otherwise bring earplugs.

The staff is cool, but the street near the hotel makes a lot of sound during the night. Pric/quality is ok, the hotel is in the center of Milan, you can visit all the great things with 30 minutes of walking.

The room is so so. I stayed in the room which is closest to the reception. So, it was quite noisy. However, the staff there really impressed me. I have left my glasses there. They have not just e-mailed me about this. They also went to post office to check up the price of sending the glasses back.

On the first day, there were young people who stayed in front of my room. They were so noisy until early morning and the door was like the panel, partition in office, I couldn't sleep well. And the next morning, there was the small bar and I could hear the conversation and the preparation of the staff and so I got up early morning. But staff were so kind and the room and the bathroom were very clean.

I have been to Milan before and was looking in the location of Hotel Kennedy, knowing that it has easy access to the historic center, subway lines, and the main train station. I stayed for two nights and was very content. I will definitely try and stay here again on my next trip back. I would advise arranging an early check-in, if necessary, in advance, as it is a small hotel. Clean, quiet, good location, and good showers.

The rooms are fairly small but I was lucky enough to have a balcony for fresh air. The hotel is VERY noisy. You can hear other guests through the sliding doors and there isn't much privacy. There is no communal area to sit and the shared bathrooms were in need of an update. There is no internet access as it stated on the website, instead you have to go across the street and pay for access. Breakfast is additional and is a small cup of coffee and 4 chocolate biscuits ... not substantial! The staff were friendly and polite and it was located in the centre of town, so I guess it depends on the trdae off you wish to make! If you do stay there, the Japanese restaurant downstairs is exceptional.

This place was awful, dirty, it was the worst hotel we stayed at in two weeks of travel in Italy. We read decent reviews of the place and I don't know what the reviewers were thinking. The beds were horrendous and the shared baths filthy and gross. Do not stay here unless you have no other choice.

This hotel managed in the family was a friendly, kind hotel. The bottle of big water was able to be bought by one Euro, and it survived very much. The wine opener and the fork, etc. were able to be lent. However, the extra bed was in the cushion the space and was very sleepless. The room faced the Main Street and when the window was opened, was annoyed by the noise and the vehicle exhaust emission. It might be severe at the midsummer if there is no air conditioner. However, the downtown in Milan from the sixth floor is looked at and it satisfies it.

Location was near subway with a number or nice cafes/restuarants near by and laundry 2 blocks away. Rooms were nice and fine for 2 nights for a family with 2 children 12 & 9 years. While were on the 6th floor, we had a fair amount of street traffic noise which made it hard to sleep at night. Rooms on the other side of the hall faced quite area. Suspect that the accoustics of the street and the building caused the noise issue. Staff are very competent and helpful.

When we stayed there in June, it was really hot and also very noisy outside, and we couldn't sleep very well. I do not recommend this hotel. I wonder if she does that to everybody.

I stayed at the Kennedy's for two nights in June 2006. The location is very convenient, east of the city centre, a fair 15 minutes walk to the dome and the galleria Victor Emanuele. There is a metro station close to the hotel, an internet cafe opposite the hotel and several cafe bars and moderately priced restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel is on the sixth floor of a renovated building. The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and safe, shared batthroom were OK, and there was a sink in the room. All rooms have a small balcony; as the Viale Tunisia is quite a busy road, the city noise is audible in all the rooms. There are fans, but no AC so it does get a little stuffy on hot days. Staff are helpful and speak English. Reservation said "incl. breakfast", but in the hotel they told us that it wasn't, we didn't really mind as there is no restaurant or anything attached. I would recommend the Kennedy for budget travellers,it offers good value for money, it is certainly not suitable for business travellers. And: if you know how to spell "CLAUSTROPHOBIA" stay away from the elevator and use the stairs!

The hotel is useful only for its relative proximity to Milan central station. It is situated on a noisy street - the noise level is tolerable at night if the doors are tightly closed. When we were there it was around 32 degrees during the day and very hot in the room overnight. There was an air conditioning unit but no apparent way to switch it on. When I asked whether I could have a remote control for it I was simply told "no".

The place was hard to find and it only had a small sign above another hotel's sign on a main/busy road. The room itself was good with a nice view facing the street. We could hear the traffic with windows shut and the rooms are on the 6th floor, it was warm in the room and too loud to open the window. (No air conditioning) Would not stay here in the middle of the hot months as it would be too loud to open windows. Overall cost vs quality was about equal. I would stay here again just not in the hotter months.

I considered this hotel to have a good correlation between price and quality, until after I paid less per night for a much better hotel in Florence. However, I think Milan might just be more expensive in general? I'm not sure. There's not much space in the hotel at all (tiny room!), no public areas to speak of, but the room was clean and served its purpose - a place to sleep. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier!

The Kennedy is one step above a no-frills hotel. It offers a for-fee continental breakfast (coffee and a sweet roll) and a cash bar. That's about it. The owners are helpful and know English (the son is much better with the language than the mother). They are knowledgeable about things to see and do and how to get there by bus, tram, or on foot. Rooms are small but adquate and clean. The bathrooms, by small Italian hotel standards, are not excessively tiny; one can even bend down in the shower to pick up the soap! The primay advantage of the Kennedy is location. It is walkable from the Statizione Centrale (but avoid the walk with lots of bags) and the Duomo/Galleria Victorio Emmanuel II/La Scala/Montenapoleone. It is one block off a main shopping/eating/walking street (Corso Buenos Aeres). We'd stay again, but this hotel is not for anyone who needs more than bare bones accomodation.

The Kennedy was within backpacking distance from the train station (2-3 km, I guess) or a 8 1/2 euro cab ride. It is a 6 piano hotel but I didn't hear anyone playing. But seriously, you have to buzz at the street so they can open the door for you. Then you can elevator up. There was no ac in room 21, but there were fans and a nice corner balcony with chairs for viewing the activity on the city streets. The staff was most helpful in arranging for a wake up call and a cab for our early morning departure. They had a selection of reasonably-priced refreshments on hand which saved us a trip to market after a long day. The proprietors made this southern USA couple feel right at home.

For convience of location close to the Station Central, for service, security, and cleanliness it can't be beat. True, it is small but as a comfortable place to sleep I found it excellent.

We (4 girls) stayed for 3 nights and had a quad room. It had two seperate single beds and two single beds pushed together. It had an en-suite toilet and shower room (which was a bit close for comfort) but was very clean and the shower was good. Unfortunatley the room was facing the main road, and the trams were very noisy at night. Once we'd got over this though, I was very pleased with it. It's central to all the main parts (Central Station, Duomo etc) and I thought offered very good value for money. Would recomend this for a short stay.

My daughter and I stayed one night at the Kennedy. The elevator and the reception area are tiny, but adequate and clean. The room and toilet were spacious and clean. The three twin beds were comfortable. The coffee and croissant in the morning were very good. The staff was pleasant. The location of the Kennedy was excellent for shopping on Viale Buenos Aires. It was only a short walk from the cathedral area. It was about 100 yards from a metro station. I would choose the Kennedy again.

Convenient as MacDonald, internet cafe, laundry all within the block. However the hotel is far from Milan central station, don't try to walk,I made that mistake!Find Tram 5 and get off once your are on Via Tunisia(forgot stop name),hotel is 200 meter from the stop. The room are clean and staff competent; however the room door have not soundproof at all,so prepare to sleep and rise as everyone does.
