Stayed here because of the proximity to the Milan stazione centrale train station. Our room faced the street and from our small balcony, we could look left and see the taxis parked in front of the train station. Excellent one night stay location for anyone getting an early morning train.

Good hotel, nice modern lobby, well located close to Stazione Centrale, restaurants and shopping nearby. Adequate breakfast. Double room was well presented, spacious and quiet. Can definitely recommend.

Okay hotel, near the train station. Clean but very bland. Good bathroom. Sterile seeming room. Not a place you want to spend time, but certainly more than adequate for a place to sleep. Second time to Milan. Recommended restaurant okay, but only that--sort of like the hotel. Skimpy breakfast--no fruit.

Hotel Florida was very convenient to Milan Centrale...our primary reason for picking it. We didn't find the staff particularly helpful or friendly. Our biggest problem was that the windows opened out on to the busy street and it was quite noisy with the windows open, and hot with the windows closed.

Location from station was convenient. Sights were within walking distance (15 minutes)Room was very nice. We arrived early and the hotel did not have a secure room for luggage. We left our luggage in the reception area while we went out. There was no problem but we would have liked our luggage to be locked up.

We enjoyed our short 3 night stay at hotel Florida. The hotel was excellent. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff and a great location: 3 minute walk to the main train station where there is also access to the metro to connect you to the rest of the city and 5 minute walk from lively Corso Buenos Aries where there is a multitude of shops and restaurants. The hotel provided a map to help navigate the sights. A great area to check out for eating and drinking in the evening is the lively canal area of the city. It is well worth a visit for an evening with the locals -bars and restaurants line the canal and this is not something you will find on the tourist map - I heard from a friend who had visited Milan previously and am glad he passed on this little spot to visit!(Porta Genoa metro stop takes you a few minutes walk from the canal)Enjoy your stay!

Hotel very nice!!! In excellent location on small silent oneway street and about 3 minutes walk from Centrale train station and undergound. The room was not so big but comfortable and was cleaned every day. Breakfast very good to. /rus/ Otelj zame4ateljnij! can't ask for a better place to stay if you want to be not far from tne train station and the underground metro to visit the center of the city.but sadly,this is not a great hotel,the air conditionner is set stop during part of the day and night.when its hot its hot.beside the fact that to take a bath you need help from your roommate,much to small to even move by yourself.when we went back in milan at the end of our trip we took another hotel.

Nice hotel in excellent location, close to central station. Easy to find. Hotel was clean and staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are small but comfortable. Sweet breakfast, without ham and cheese, noise outside the bedroom door early in the morning, thin walls. This hotel was very good value and we would be happy to stay there again. We would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with really communicative location. All services are at quite good level as per the hotel category. Pleased with the overall stay. Breakfast is not the most rated meal in Italy, but it could be improved in Florida hotel a lot. The minibar should be better presented with wine and proseco, concerning to the really reasonable prices.

The 3 star hotel with a 4 star quality. My mother and I were only spending a night in Milan because of train schedules and we liked the hotel overall: the service, staff, environment, etc that we wanted to stay longer in a city we did not plan to stay just because of the comfort we found for such a reasonable price. A member of the hotel staff helped us and insisted in taking our suitcases personally as they were heavy. As soon as we mentioned that the TV was not fully working we had it immediately replaced. Timing in catering to our need was the fastest we have found at Florida from all the other hotels around Europe. We were very pleased and if there are other Floridas around the world we want to stay there.

The hotel was nice and so close to the main train station. Everything was fine and I would stay there again without hesitation. The only odd thing was that on picking our bags up on the afternoon that we had checked out, we asked if we could use bathroom facilities they told us to use the toilets at the train station. All other places I have stayed at have happily complied. A little strange as we had been paying guests a few hours prior and were also possible future guests. The rooms were lovely and clean though and breakfast was good.

We arrived on a 6:30pm train and had to take the airport bus to the Milan airport early the next morning. Hotel Florida was only a hundred meters or so away from the train station. For our purpose of a brief overnight stay the hotel was fine for, I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay, because the area is not very nice.

We only spent one night at the Hotel Florida, as we were on our way to Munich from La Spezia. It was raining when we got off the train. We only had to cross the street and walk around the corner to the Hotel Florida. We walked into a warm and welcoming hotel and were greeted with the staff speaking English, which was very important to us as we do not speak Italian. The lobby was beautiful as was our room and our stay at the hotel. In the morning we had a good breakfast and left. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would come back again to this hotel.

Excellent location - especially with you need to change transports/airports. Excellent connection to all parts of town through the Metro - stop is 2 minutes walk from the entrance of the property. Though very close to the one of the busiest squares in Milan - Centrale - the hotel is in a very quit and calm street. A bit overpriced - but the location is unique. If you would lok for something cheaper or more luxurious - Venere will gice you good opportunities for either option. This community is rich of any types and price levels.

It's much easier to find than you might understand from the directions. It's not even a block from the Central Train Station. If you come out the front of the station it is on your far left - around the corner from a fancy restaurant. Taking the bus to the Malpensa Airport from there is a cinch. If you request two twin beds you can have them, although this isn't apparent from Venere website. The reason I rated the quietness of the rooms so low is not because of outside noise but because there was a guy in the room next door who conducted very long and extremely loud telephone conversations into the night, which was very annoying. If you follow the tram lines into the center it is about a 40 minute walk to La Scala and the Duomo and by Metro very fast indeed. Last tip is, don't eat at the restaurant on the corner unless you want to pay 7 Euros to sit down and another 9 for water. Overall a nice and clean hotel...

The best aspect of the hotel is its location (500 meters from the main train station). The negative aspects are: 1)The pictures of the rooms provided by the hotel don't correspond at all with the real look of the rooms or at least for those who pay 85 € 2)They give you a card to wath films (Pay Tv) when you make the check-in without telling you the cost of the service.

It was a nice stay in a very clean hotel. We didnt try the breakfast coz overslept every day. The room was quiet, the matress a bit old but alright so far. The employees were nice n helpfull n spoke english, excluded one of them who was always in a bad mood. The hotel is very central, just 50 meter away from the central station. there are restaurants and bars close to the hotel as well.

The hotel Florida was exactly what I was looking for, very close to the train station (so that I felt safe walking to get a shuttle at 4 in the morning), safe and a slightly nicer room to finish off my week in Italy.

The hotel is very close to the Central Station. We were supposed to get a train at 8:00 AM, so, it certainly was a good choice. The non-allergic rooms are very clean and (happily) have no carpet. It was not allowed to smoke on the lobby either. Bathrooms were ok. Breakfast could be better. Ham, eggs and toasts (!) are charged separatedly from the continental breakfast that is included in the room price. In my opinion, it was a little bit overpriced. Values if you need to take a train early in the morning (or arrive at the station late at night).

I chose this hotel for a very brief stopover - arriving by train late night and leaving early morning, so was looking for something simple, close to the station and good value for money. It matched this requirement perfectly: 5 minutes from the Stazione Centrale (although I didn't find the map as clear as it looked), efficient and friendly. Basic but quiet room overlooking a courtyard. Breakfast a little dull but decent coffee served with great charm.

We needed somewhere close to the station as we were travelling by train, and Florida was very pleasant and quiet just one block away. There was a nice bar and reception area, and the breakfast was fine. Excellent choice for its type and location. The station is not in the town centre, but easily connected by metro and bus, and walkable if it's not too hot.

Quite a nice tourist-class hotel. Rooms were quite spacious, quiet and very clean. Breakfast was satisfactory, about the usual standard for Italian cities. A major benefit of this hotel is its location, close to major railway and Metro stations.

The location is the best part of the Hotel Florida's offer - the room was somewhat small. The bathroom was more spacious. Decor was new and fashionable. There are several good, medium priced restaurants within a few blocks and the train station is an easy walk (about 2 blocks). The hotel is on a quiet side street. The neighborhood is a good one. You can catch a bus to either Milan airport conveniently at the train station or use the many cabs waiting there 24/7. The hotel breakfast was very good with plenty of excellent coffee.

Quando due donne viaggiano insieme, per default, assegnano la camera con due letti e non la matrimoniale; in questo caso è successo l'inverso: abbiamo chiesto la doppia (mi agito nel sonno) e casualmente abbiamo avuto la matrimoniale. We only needed the hotel for one night, as we arrived in Linato and were headed elsewhere in Italy. The hotel served it's purpose...it was extremely close to the train station and was clean and comfortable enough. We stayed over a Saturday night, and there weren't many other hotels available that weekend. So, the room was expensive for us relative to the quality of the hotel.

Great cheap hotel to stay in if you are only staying for a couple of days in Milan. Quality of the public areas is excellent for such good value; the rooms are a bit bare but have all the commodities you will need for a short stay (incl. mini bar!!) Rooms have TVs but they don't seem to work. Quality of breakfast was decent considering the price of the room. Location of the hotel is great if you're carrying heavy luggage (2mins from Central Station)... public transport to the city centre very close by. Would definitely stay there again!

Hotels in Europe continue to be extremely expensive, they are overpriced even for the locals. I do not plan to travel anymore to Europe and I will start heading to Asia, Africa and LatinAmerica.
