Very rude front desk middle aged male who appeared to be the manager. He was not impressed when we indicated that we were not prepared to leave our passports with him and he walked off muttering in italian when we requested that he take a photocopy while we wait. The hotel claims to have a 12 pm check in but this is not the case unless you want to check into an unmade room! He gave us the room key at 1 pm and told us that the room was ready only for us to find the maid just starting to clean the room! Floors in the room were dirty - unswept and not mopped. Bathroom shower water did not drain properly causing a puddle when showering. Toilet did not flush adequately. Very dirty verandah with no outdoor furniture. Poor placement of breakfast room with poorly dressed breakfast staff (extremely oversized uniforms)which gave the hotel a very unprofessional look. WIFI did not work in the hotel room. We have stayed in many hotels and this is the poorest to date. Would not recommend it and it reflects badly on venere.com to include it in its portfolio. The only positive thing about the stay was the crisp white linen and the close proximity to the Milan Centrale which made the 1 night bearable.

The hotel is very close to the Central station, which is very convenient. The hotel is quite old and there were some problems in the room: the bath room door didn't lock and the bathroom drain was a bit clogged. Apart from that, we could hear the street noise from our room at night. Everything else was good: the room was neat and suitable, there was a safe in the room, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was okay - Continental with some additions. There was Coffee made by order which was really nice. The price was fair.

The location is excellent as the train station is a few minutes away. however the staff isn't too friendly. when my boyfriend told the receptionist politely that the air conditioning wasn't working, she told him that it definitely was. the staff did something about it when the other clients complained too. Another aspect I didnt like was breakfast. it was very basic and you re charged if you want ham or cheese.

Good location as it's very near train station. However, the wifi was not working at all in the room. Informed the staff at reception but they insisted that it was working fine without making any attempt to check at the room. Very disappointed. Besides, I could hear the noise from next door clearly. Not advisable if you are a light sleeper.

However, the weekend staff were not so helpful in answering questions and not very friendly. The hotel location is better than we expected. We met many English-speaking people at the hotel.

Location is great, just across the main train station. Directions listed in the website needs more details though, but if you already have a map on hand, it wouldn't be hard to figure out. It's walking distance to Corso Buenos Aires, one of the main shopping roads in Milan. Elevator is really small and can probably take only two people with luggages at a time. Room is quite big, we took the superior room. Wifi service is not stable and the hotel has a disclaimer that it's not part of what you pay for so bad connection is at your own risk.

We had 2 rooms for 3 nights. In one room the light in bathroom was poor. Everything was very clean especially the breakfast dining room. Very nice breakfast. The staff was very helpful but did not know English nor did we know Italian. Very handy location close to train station. One night there was a noise outside. I think there is a night club nearby.

The reception staff was extremely not friendly and not helpful. Our triple room was old and almost everything is covered with dirt, the wall was moldy. We ask for another triple room, the staff didn't provide any help and do nothing about our complaint. The day we leaving is the time change in spring in europe, it was one hour ahead, there was no any notice in the hotel , staff didn't mention anything, the information is lacking, room is dirty, staff is the worst I even seen!!

We stayed at hotel florida for 1 night - the hotel is tucked at the back alley but extremely close to the train station. Milan's train station's surrounding is a little bit sketchy - so be careful. when we arrived - they upgraded us to the penthouse suite as the original room was booked. the room is HUGE! very clean and very comfortable. since the hotel is extremely close to the station, it is very easy to reach all destination via metro. would recommand.

The hotel is close to train station so it was easy to get to. The staff seemed to rush things through, so it felt a little uninviting. I left accidentally left something behind and they never found it in my room, so based on that, I we say that they have a untrustworthy cleaning staff. I've left things in other hotels and have always got my belongings back. All in all I would probably not stay there again. I would actually avoid Milan on my next trip over.

The hotel was very handy to the railway station and bus to the airport. The rooms were great but the walls were paper thin. The first night an Italian couple yelled and screamed at each other for 3/4 of an hour till - at 10 p.m. I bashed on their door and shut them up. It was lovely and quiet after that. They staff were helpful but not very friendly. Breakfast was very limiting.

Good location. It's near to Milan Centrale Station. There's a buffet restaurant diagonally opposite the hotel, offering value for money meal. Lunch is at EUR12 per pax from Mon to Sat. THe hotel is within walking distance to Milan shopping strip. The breakfast provided is basic. It's the usual crossiant, bread, cereal, yoghurt with coffee/tea/juice. Will consider Hotel Florida again if I am able to get the good deal I had.

The hotel is in a very good location, exactly in front of the Central Station, with metro nearby to go anywhere in Milano. We were there in august and found the city half closed up. Anyway there are plenty of places to visit. The hotel was OK, not far from the center (we usually went walking) and with many fast foods and cheap restaurants in the sorroundings. The staff was very helpfull.

The staff at reception were not very friendly, but always did what they were requested and in good time. The location to the underground makes a quick walk even with luggage. It is an easy trip from the international airport by train then underground. Our 2nd floor room let in very little street noise, and the small bathroom was newly furnished with better facilities than more expensive accommodation. The surronding area was typical of that near a large train station with a broad selection of shops and people.I would probably stay at the Florida Hotel again.

I am staying there for second or third time - mainly because of location which is totatly perfect for everything - close to the buses for all Milan airports all trains for the country and major Metro station for 2 lines that bring you everywhere in no time. Hotel is clean, staf is far below my personal expectations for kindness and welcoming feeling you expect, but they all speak fair English and if you are focused and specific in what you want - you always get it. Breakfast is just OK - but for the standart of a real value hotel. Compared to the price of 100 euro we have paid (per room per night) - this choice for breakfast that is offerd is just poor - but the coffee is excelent - this is Italy, eh!?!? If you want to pay more for the sake of fast, efficient and no-headache moving to and from everywhere - this one of the best places. If you thoroughly search around the same area you may find everything - cheaper and more expensive, but I cannot tell that for higher price you will get some more better, neither I say that for cheaper it will obligatory be worse. It's Italy, eh!?!?! Just enjoy it!

Very close to train and bus stations and walking distance to attractions if you don't mind walking a bit, or you could take the subway. We had 4 people and they gave us 2 adjoining rooms. Very nice! The hotel is ideally located nearby the central station but in a small street without too much confusion. It is very well deserved by tramway, buses and metro. This hotel is simple but perfect for a week end in Milan. They propose a small buffet for breakfast include with the price of the room but you can also order extras, for cheap price, for those who would need something more consistant (eggs, bacon, omelette, ...). If you need good addresses for a restaurant, ask to the office. They indicate us a very good one nearby.

We enjoyed our short 3 night stay at hotel Florida. The hotel was excellent. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff and a great location: 3 minute walk to the main train station where there is also access to the metro to connect you to the rest of the city and 5 minute walk from lively Corso Buenos Aries where there is a multitude of shops and restaurants. The hotel provided a map to help navigate the sights. A great area to check out for eating and drinking in the evening is the lively canal area of the city. It is well worth a visit for an evening with the locals -bars and restaurants line the canal and this is not something you will find on the tourist map - I heard from a friend who had visited Milan previously and am glad he passed on this little spot to visit!(Porta Genoa metro stop takes you a few minutes walk from the canal)Enjoy your stay!

The 3 star hotel with a 4 star quality. My mother and I were only spending a night in Milan because of train schedules and we liked the hotel overall: the service, staff, environment, etc that we wanted to stay longer in a city we did not plan to stay just because of the comfort we found for such a reasonable price. A member of the hotel staff helped us and insisted in taking our suitcases personally as they were heavy. As soon as we mentioned that the TV was not fully working we had it immediately replaced. Timing in catering to our need was the fastest we have found at Florida from all the other hotels around Europe. We were very pleased and if there are other Floridas around the world we want to stay there.

The hotel was nice and so close to the main train station. Everything was fine and I would stay there again without hesitation. The only odd thing was that on picking our bags up on the afternoon that we had checked out, we asked if we could use bathroom facilities they told us to use the toilets at the train station. All other places I have stayed at have happily complied. A little strange as we had been paying guests a few hours prior and were also possible future guests. The rooms were lovely and clean though and breakfast was good.

Close position to railway station main attraction for our overnight stay. The hotel was suitable for this but would not be attractive for a longer time period

We arrived on a 6:30pm train and had to take the airport bus to the Milan airport early the next morning. Hotel Florida was only a hundred meters or so away from the train station. For our purpose of a brief overnight stay the hotel was fine for, I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay, because the area is not very nice.
