I inadvertently booked the first two nights of our trip to Italy to correspond with the Milan Furniture Fair and paid dearly for that mistake. Milan's hoteliers are in love with the law of supply and demand. This was the only reasonably priced hotel close to Stazione Centrale, but it was a real dump - hard, undersized beds, hard pillows, tiny bathroom, holes in the blankets and beadspreads, stained curtains, grimy walls, zero decor, wretched, lukewarm coffee made by a machine, noisy streetcars outside, internet access down (scheduled to be fixed the day of our departure), the list goes on. The staff was at least pleasant, but we did not ask much of them. In retrospect Milan's Metro system is excellent, and we didn't have to be so close to the train station. Knowing that would have given us a few more options.

The bathroom was not clean and in need of renovation. Sound resonated around the stairwell, but was quiet after 11pm. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Location is close to train station, although quite far from the city centre and the Metro from Lima takes you where you want to go.

Quality versus Price is in a city as Milan a terrible disaster. The prices are fare to high from all the hotels to de quality you get.

How to reach Hotel Eden

By car
From the highway, take the exit Lambrate and merge onto the East Ring Road, following the indications to Milano centro-stazione until you reach via Porpora. Continue straight to Piazzale Loreto and, after the roundabout, take the fifth street on the right Corso Buenos Aires. Proceed until Piazza Lima and turn right into via Vitruvio.
