Quite small hotel in a quiet location. Individual room was fine. Breakfast should be improved but anyway fine. Location good: a few meters from metro station. Not so far from city center.

Location is very easy to find if the hotel gives us more information of which exit to walk from the metro station(which they don't) very close to major supermarket, mcdonalds, pharmacy etc. can hear constant loud footsteps from room upstairs, staff definately INCOMPETENT in maintaining customer's privacy!! loud neighbours, can hear their constant burst of laughter and conversations in loud volume.

We stayed 3 days in the hotel. It is centraly located (~20 min walking from the Duomo) and very close to the metro, so you can go everywhere very quickly. Room is very good, great heating, great shower, spacious and with a comfortable bed. Staff was also very kind and would frequently help us and give himts on how to go to specific places. I would definitely recommend hotel dore!

Good location (close to metro Loreto). The hotel is very small without a real public area. Small room with a noisy heat machine which doesn't heat the bathroom. On the shower's floor i found a hair (better fur from someone's body!). Very poor breakfast (you should ask for water!) The room and the accomodation wasn't so bad... but for 65 euro I found better hotels in the same area.

Breakfast, as (almost) usual in Italy, is scarce. Most personnel was very nice. Location is good for shopping, and not far from the centre. A bit more of a friendlier attitude from the owners wouldn't hurt, however, as above, most personnel is quite nice.

Everything was fine. Except a bit poor breakfest. But we enjoyed this stay. Its fine when you can have parking right in the hotel - you must pay special for this, but better than look for parking place in Milano.

Hotel receptionist could not speak English. It is hard to communicate. Parking closed from noon to 19 O'clock. We must park at street before 19 O'clock. Air conditioner was out of order during staying. Hotel location is very good. Very close to Metro station.

This hotel was perfect for us, great location and easy to find. The front desk staff during the day and at night were always helpful to us. Their breakfast is ok, rolls and packaged toasts. Despite the look and feel of a modern, above average hotel, apparently they felt compelled to place a sign by the breakfast areas that only one croissant was allowed per guest and anything more would be charged extra. Rather tacky and cheap, after staying at several hotels in all price ranges for 3 weeks, this one was a first. Still, it is clean and safe and well located.

Well positioned for tube (on 2 lines). We asked for a double - got given a triple - plenty of space. Rooms were clean and air conditioned. Staff very helpful. Breakfast minimal but adequate. Try and get a room at the back, where it is quieter, but this is Milan and you will always get some street noise.

Very good property, neat and clean. The metro is virtually outside the door as is the main shopping street, the Corso Buenos Airies. Breakfast could be a little better. Ideal for business people like myself as it is basically a place to shower and sleep. Reasonable value for money as hotel prices in Milan are always overinflated at trade fair times. Would stay again next time.

Excelent hotel, very close to a subway station and Corso Buenos Aires, a big avenue plenty of shops. Very close to PAM supermarket. Easy to reach Piazza del Duomo by submay. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast is simple but has a good capuccino. The only critical is about air condition, that is turned off during spring (may) and windows cannot be opened due to mosquitos. But I stayed twice and I recommend.

This hotel had the audacity to list itself as air conditioned, yet in August (during 90+ degree heat), they had the nerve to shut off the air conditioning between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the morning and then again at 10 a.m. This forced us to open street-side windows and roast further while listening to sirens and drunks and traffic horns. The hotel claimed if we wanted air 24 hours we would have to pay three times the price quoted. The front desk also recommended using a parking garage next door, but failed to mention that if guests move their cars there at night or in the early morning, they won't be able to get it out all day. It was locked up tight with no phone number to contact, and the hotel front desk said "not our car park, not our problem" )even though they directed us to it). We lost full use of our vehicle for an entire day and had to pay nearly $75 extra dollars to take the train to Lake Como for a planned visit. We also failed to get to Switzerland because of this gross negligence. We fault both the hotel, the garage and Venere for failing to alert us to these two dramatic inconsistencies in what is advertised and what is delivered. We will not use Venere again.

If you are coming to Milan to shop till you drop then you have a reason to stay at Dorè for its proximity to a major shopping district. The hotel itself is rather mediocre. It could be noisy, too, but that´s nothing compared to what I personally thought was a rather unfriendly reception upon our arrival. I would choose to stay at another hotel the next time around.

The hotel's location is so close to a metro station making it quite strategic. Speciallly for Muslim travellers, the are quite a number of halal food outlets around the area. Nearby there is also a big supermarket. The staff although seemed quite helpful not so welcoming in some way - may be due to the language barier. There was no electric kettle in the the room. Apart from that it was quite a good value for money.

I was booked in a single room for 3 days at the Dore in June. A newer hotel with very clean rooms, located next to 2 metro lines makes it very convenient. Parking garage on the same street is great if you have a car. SuperMercato around the corner. Single room is tiny, as is the shower. If you know Italy, this shouldn't be a surprise. The biggest negative is that the management would turn off the air conditioning from late evening until midday, even claiming it was broken one day. How could a new system be broken already? It was unusally hot and muggy durning my stay, and I would have gladly paid for AC. I think they were just trying to save money. For this reason, I would avoid the Dore during the summer. Other reviewers said the management was not helpful, but this was just the demeanor of the proprietor.

Good location for us as it was near the train station and the metro. Only bad thing about the area was the limited places to eat. Be aware that the owners speak hardly any english but they do their best and were friendly. The only thing we could have issue with is that we were charged for the water & cappucino offered at breakfast. (10 euros for 2 breakfasts) There should be a notice letting you know that in advance but we were fine with it as we had an excellent rate for Milan. We would be willing to stay at this hotel again.
