I will remember Demo Hotel as my worst hotel stay I ever had. The breakfast is poor and terrible, even the bread is from packages. The rooms are ok. Because of refurnishing it was quite noisy. In need of a room for new customers the woman at the reception was very boring and disturbing with the aim to get us out already before 10am. Leaving the hotel was more escape than departure. Especially we lost time at the breakfast because bread was finished and needed to be baked up. This is not a nice and the right way to behave to guests. Demo Hotel never again!

Get here only if strictly necessary (other hotels are full booked and it's the only one in station surroundigs). the surroundings are orrible, rooms as small as you can imagine; no air conditioning, only a broken not working fan... and nothing about quietness.

I traveled with three friends to look at the football game between Inter and Barcelona Champions League semi-finals. We spent a great and were delighted with the service. The hotel is situated in an excellent location, close to metro. Italy is a beautiful country, and Italian girls are beautiful:) Hello everyone

One of the receptionists was surly, and lazy compared to the lady and other gentleman. Compared to the room we are now staying in in Madrid - also booked thru Venere - the rooms in Italy are old and cramped.

I'm from Chile. My wife and me spent one night al this hotel. We had many problems, for example: 1) There are not elevator (problems with our luggage). 2) The breakfast room is very little and it is in the same reception hall. 3) The breakfast is very poor. 4) I had many problems with heating. Sincerely i would not return to this hotel.

The hotel is convenient for 1 night stay - close to Central Station (walking distance even with luggage). The room was really simple (single on the first floor), but ok to sleep and have hot shower. Breakfast - as usual - coffee plus snack.

The obvious advantage was proximity to the station. But shouldn't a hotel offer a min comfort. Our 1st floor room was so poorly walled that the whole night we could hear the sounds of cars & ambulances in the streets below. We asked for a couple of glasses & he offered plastic glasses. When i asked for a decent glass, he refused saying that they have very few required for next day's breakfast. The less said about the breakfast- the better. All in all, we as a family managed since we spent less than a day in the hotel & the 3 star rating seems to be falsely accorded. Definitely not recommended!

The first night we stayed in a room facing Via Tonale, there was only a ceiling fan and we suffered terrible heat (the sun hits the room all day long) and noise (from the street) all night. It was hell. The second night they moved us in another room with AC, but we almost didn't even need it because the sun didn't it that one much and the room was cooler. Breakfast is less that average, and you take it in a small and overcrowded area where it's difficult to move. In the end I couldn't even pay with credit card. Overall very bad experience.

The hotel is definaly not great. If you plan to stay in Milano, pick a different hotel. At night the sorounding look dangerous, and if you have a lot of luggage, think twice. There is no elevator to the rooms. But if you need a place to stay close to the train station for a night, this could be your choice. You can walk from the station to the hotel, about 5-10 minuts with luggage. In the room we stayed, it was next to the stair and we could hear people up and down and conversation all night. As I said, for a nice, great deal. To enjoy Milano, there are better hotels with good prices as well.

There was no direction to show how to get to the hotel. The night shift hotel receptionist didn't speak English and had the most impolite manner and provided the worst service to customers. The room was dark, some light bulbs did not work and the hotel staff was unwilling to replace. The room was in the next building, and the environment was terrible. Will definitely never never come back.

We were on the first floor (which to an American is second floor -- the first floor above the lobby). There was some sort of party down the hall, and we could hear basically every word they were saying. Same with everything going on in the lobby. The ONLY thing going for this hotel is its proximity to the train station. It's a 5-10 minute walk to/from the train station to the hotel, and that's precisely why we booked here. On that, we were not disappointed, but if you're after a hotel where you can get some sleep before 22-23:00, look elsewhere.

The hotel was average. The location seemed good at the time of booking, but it is actually quite a bit for from the main station and places of interest. room itself was good, though we had to cross a terrace to reach it. Breakfast was in a tiny shop across the road and very bare. Overall not bad if you are getting it at a good price, but am sure u can get better deals if you are searching well in advance of your trip.

Would not recommend it, not enough space in the room we had two cases and found it difficult to move around, the bathroom was the smallest we ever had. Breakfast was poor. We stayed in Milan for 3 nights. The room had one double bed and two single beds. It was very tidy and clean exactly the picture on the website - same bed sheets and curtains. Our tv wasn't working, and there was no computers are internet to use due to lobby renovations. It was very close to the laundromat, the supermarket and train station. The man at reception was very informative.

The room was very noisy as it was right on the main street and adequate noise insulation was not installed - recommend taking a set on earplugs if you want to get a nights sleep. We paid for a quad room and got a standard room with two extra beds crammed in - not worth the money paid per night.

My overall experince at this hotel was excellent. The location near Milan's Central Station is ideal. The only problem that I encountered was that when arriving at night I was asked by the front desk clerk to leave my passport along with my family's identification documents at the front desk overnight. I told this person that we were not confortable doing this and after long explanations we were not required to leave our passports overnigt with someone else. I had never encountered a similar policy and for that reason did not feel confortable doing this. I don't know if this is something normal in Italy. Other than that I was pleased with the hotel and service. I would recommend this hotel.

The location is right by the train station -you pass it on the way if you take the shuttle bus from the airport. It was good to wake up to the smell of the breakfast cooking downstairs. The man working the desk was patient with the language barrier and helpful. The only complaint that we had was the fact that they sold us a 2 Euro water when there was a grocery store right around the corner & we were on our way out. There is a great pizza place around the corner: S. Giorgio.

As a group of 4, we stayed in a quad room. This was simply a standard double room with very little storage space and 2 extra beds. I’m pretty sure they don’t pack 4 people into a room this small in prisons. The toilet was very small, and had no curtain rail or partition - this meant that after taking a shower, water would pour into the bedroom. There was no tea or coffee making facilities, no TV, no iron, and faulty lighting. The balcony was nothing special, was directly over a very busy road, and the air conditioning did not work either, so none of our group were allowed much sleep. The bar in reception was very expensive (4 euros = 33cl beer), and the breakfast was very basic (nothing hot, not typically continental). To our knowledge, only 1 member of staff spoke English (but I don't speak any Italian, so I shouldn't be too critical). To its credit, the reception was kept clean & tidy, and the hotel was easy to find and close to the main transport links. We could easily have got 2 separate double rooms for the same price in the same area.

The location of this hotel is not very picturesque, but it is within walking distance from the train station. That was our primary concern as we arrived late in the afternoon and left early in the morning. Our room (could have accomodated 4 people) was on the ground floor right near the bar and public restroom, but it was very quiet and convenient. Breakfast was included in the 85 euro price. We also had our own tv and bathroom. We would definitely stay here again. The restaurant selection in the immediate area is a little thin, and we had to do a bit of walking to find something open the night before Easter, but we were successful in the end. Hotel Demo was the most inexpensive place we stayed in all of our travels through Italy.

I'm well aware that one cannot expect to find a Taj Mahal in a two-star hotel near the train station, but, even so, Hotel Demò is disappointing. It's hardly conceivable that in a room for two people there's no space for two pieces of luggage. Moreover, it would be nice if the wardrobe weren't broken, and if it wouldn't be necessary to come down two sets of stairs at night in order to talk to the reception, for the telephone wasn't connected. Worst of all was the breakfast, described as "rich and tasty" on the web, but by far the worst breakfast I've had in my 24-day trip around Italy.

Very nice, clean hotel and very conveniently located within three minutes walking distance from the central train station, although the area is not the best too late at night. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, breakfast was good, and having free internet access was appreciated. The staff were friendly as well. We only had two problems. First, the hotel is not air conditioned and it was very hot while we were there, so we had trouble sleeping despite the ceiling fan that was in the room. Second, we were in a room on the street which stayed pretty noisy with traffic which continued until between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. and started back up around 5:00/6:00 a.m., so light sleepers should perhaps request a room in the back of the hotel. Basically, this was a nice hotel that just happens to be on a noisy street.

The Demo is an excellent budget hotel, very handily situated close to Milan Station. One slight problem to start with, was actually finding the hotel. It is literally 5 minutes walk from the station, but the map supplied is not very clear and so we spent about 30 minutes walking around the outside of the station trying to discover the hotel. A clearer map stating which exit to take out of the station would be of great benefit. The hotel for the price was excellent, the room was spacious and clean. There was no air conditioning which with tempertures of 30C made it quite an uncomfortably night -although there was a fan. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best breakfasts I have ever experinced abroad and very surprisingly good for such an inexpensive hotel. The man who served us in the morning was extremely helpful and gave us some excellent tips about travelling in Milan. Another feature was free internet access, which I used to check out some trian times. So if you are looking for an inexpensive and very well located hotel in Milan I would be happy to recommend the Demo.

Very hot in August in room - poor fan, and a good 30 - 45 mins walk from main tourist areas, but close to station. Need to pay extra for parking.

A OK hotel, nothing more, nothing less. The breakfast wasn't any good, which was disappointing after we read a review that said breakfast was good. Staff didn't speak english. Very close to the central station. We only got one night at this hotel, but we found another hotel 50 metres down (to the right in the next lightcross after Demo) which had three stars, better breakfast, aircon and balcony for 90 euros (weekend price). Will recommend this hotel instead if you are staying for a weekend. (Don't remember name of the hotel)

Location very good, sub-way and main train station close by for easy travel around Milan. Only concern was the noise level, caused by other guests and noisy people outside the hotel. Maybe we were just unlucky that week.

The hotel was conveniently located 2 blocks from the train station and metro lines. Our room was spacious (we had a triple) but with view to the busy street so it was noisy late at nite and early in the morning. The rooms in the back may be quieter. The bathroom was small but ok. the only thing was the shower curtain was too short and the water spilled to the floor when taking a shower. The breakfast was very good and the manager were very nice and helpful. It doen't have an elevator so it may be a problem if you're older or have a lot or heavy suitcases. The common areas are very nicely decorated, better than I expected. Overall we liked the hotel and for the price it was a great deal. We'll use it again in our next trip.

We found problems in fundamental construction in the hotel. When I flush toilet, the flushed water flew up from the drain of the shower. We did not like such a bad sanitary, and therefore we could not take shower. Honestly, we won’t visit again.

Couldn't fault the quality of the hotel for the price. Free internet facilities were very useful. Location is great for the Central Station for trips to Lake Como and Lake Garda but is in a slightly seedy area.

We found the Hotel Demo very good value. A couple of points were the description said the room had a bath it didn't it was just a shower. The staff didn't speak much English so were unable to help us with guidance on where to go etc. although they were very helpful and did their best. We chose the hotel because of it's close proximity to the rail station looking back I'm not sure this was such a good idea as I never felt very safe in the area. So apart from that yes we were happy with the hotel it was very clean the room was adequate and cleaned everyday with clean towels. Breakfast was very good and staff very pleasant and helpful (as much as they could be).

The location near the station was good and convenient . The 4 bedded room was on the third floor without lift so with luggage it was a problem. It was a small hotel but the breakfast and free internet was good.Room and bathroom were cramped but stlil the place was good value for money probably by milan standards

We arrived at 1 AM and were still able to find the hotel, admitted instantly, and given our room, which was comfortable and clean. It was small for a quad - but we were happy with the quiet and comfortable there. The breakfast room was delightful and clean. Rated excellent for the price and access to the train station.
