Because of their location is just 10 minutes walk from Milano Centrale Stn. there are lots of guests in and out so penetrating to a small Reception counter is a bit difficult. Stuff are friendly except the goatee beard guy who kept telling everyone seriously that there'd be snow in Milan tomorrow (that's May 3rd...)which made everyone frown. Public areas are very gloomy so needs to improve that. A/C at H speed sounded like grinding machine.

The room was small but nice. it had air conditioning but made some noise depending on the setting. I wished the bathroom to be a bit more well maintained, wifi signal is poor, and the lift was old, but overall for the cost I was pretty satisfied.

It is a pity that presumably the recession has brought about a bit of untidyness and grafitti and some closed down businesses in the street leading into the hotel and, being on a bit of a side street with little activity in it, I wasn't completely comfortable (as a woman alone) walking in that street in the evening. It is only a short street and the surrounding ones are fine - my issue is with the street the hotel is in. The hotel is fine but I would prefer to stay in a hotel in a better lit area.

I choose this hotel on the reviews of previous guests. The pics looked nice & clean. But when arrived in the hotel it wasn't what we expected. The rooms were very small. No chairs. No space to sit. There's was hardly space to walk around the beds. The windows were damaged & could be opened. The elevator is real tiny. The elevator doors inside do not close properly. A hand finds in the gap that stays open while the elevator goes up or down. How's that for safety. What bothers me most is the blankets containing hair from previous guests. They checked it and did not want to resolve this. Only by taking the dirty blanket with. For us this not good service. The airco made more noise than a lawnmower. And furthermore they were dirty and not cleaned for a long while. We did not use them much. The rooms were warm although the airco was on. I would not recommend this hotel to any travelers. Unless you do not mind to stay in an unclean hotel. We stayed as long as possible out of the hotel. As we paid upfront we could not go and find another hotel.

Very close to the Central Station. The personnel is nice, the room cleanness is acceptable. Overall in line with the features of a 3-star hotel. In my room there was a second door facing a courtyard in common with other rooms and hotels. This in my opinion could be an issue to privacy & safety.

Excellent location near the central train station of Milano centrale, safe and easy to find. Good way to go with all your languages. The bar in the hotel is very expensive and not up to the price you pay for drinks. Remember to add 3€ at person for new Milan tax to be paid cash. If you have kids there is form to fill and avoid the 3€ payment. Off course the cable tv is not available and the local tv as well. Free wifi for one user only. Friendly staff, around the hotel nice area for dining and ice cream. Next to the hotel there is bar pizzeria very nice for good cappuccino. Worth the price.

I had a very bad experience on my first night. I reached the Hotel in the evening from the airport. I was sure that the room has been organised and inspected for a guest to feel comfortable. The room was freezing for the whole night. I couldn't sleep for the first night. I didn't want to disturb the staff as I thought things will change any time. It didn't change at all. In the morning, I reported that to the reception and they agreed to check on that. When I came back around 4pm, instead of having a warm temperature, but it was on air conditioned.I then remembered that that is the noise I have been hearing for the whole night. Then I went back to tell them. This is my next day, unfortunately it was after 5pm which was still early to discuss and find a solution. I was so exhausted and I needed a sleep on that day. At least I can sleep for one night out of my 2 stays. I was coming back form my meeting which I attended without any sleep for the previous night. Then I was offered a portable heater which I agreed to have and I really had a good sleep that night which was my last stay. The normal heating was working as well. There wasn't any problem with it at all. That means, the problem wasn't the heating instead it was the customer service. An inspection in all the rooms is needed before the guests got in. Otherwise, the hotel services was excellent. The staffs were very kind and helpful and I was going to enjoy my stay more if this heating incidence didn't happen. I would advice people to use the hotel. But, I hope this problem doesn't happen to anyone else. Thanks

The hotel is located at the strategic place and close to the Milano Centrale station. It is an old hotel but it is very clean. The only problem is with the lift. It is a very old lift, very noisy and I felt not really secure when taking the lift. I was so worry that I will be stucked at the lift if suddenly it is broken. My room at 5th floor is located just beside the lift so i could hear the lift noisy sound even in the middle of the night. The toilet is quite big but the shower area is very small. Other things were OK.

We stayed for 5 days in Milan. The hotel is very central but the room though spacious for 3 people showed definite signs of wear. The bathroom fittings were all tarnished, the shower door came apart if not handled very carefully, the hair dryer was held together with duct tape. In order to obtain a shower cap my wife and daughter had to ask reception. The cherry on the cake was the extra 45 euros we had to pay as the city of Milan is levying a 3 euros per person per night tax. This brought the total bill to over 700 euros which given the standard of the hotel was way to much.

Nice staff, very friendly. Decor quite dated though, didn't match the smart exterior/lobby. Good breakfast service, staff spoke much better English than I did Italian! Nice bar/lobby area; several TVs, wi-fi access (although this costs extra). Very close to Centrale station (train/metro/bus links), plenty of attractive restaurants/cafes nearby also. Lots of rooms, plenty of availability. Good cleaning service every day. A decent hotel which was somewhat blighted by the mosquitos, however..! I opened the wondow on my first day and was killing mosquitos in my room for the next 3. New bites every morning. Bar area with nice open roof garden; sadly also had the same wildlife. I have to say though; that it was late September and I didn't see fit to tell the staff whilst I stayed, so I have no idea whether they would have moved me to a different room or whatever. Also, the wi-fi didn't really work in my room. Only seemed to work in the lobby. There's an added fee ('city tax') per person, per night of 3 euros. I assume this is city-wide.

This hotel is cheap for a reason. We had a room on the 4 th floor which looks like pretty run down 1970s decor. The a/c unit was ancient and barely kept the room cool. A basic hotel in a handy location to milano centrale railway station.

Everything would have been nice, but at the evening cigaret smoke started to come into our hotel room from the bathroom ventilation system. We had to close the door and had no chance to take the bath. As our child was already sleeping in the bed, we did not want to wake him and move either. Everything else was quite ok, no complaints. But this cigaret smoke really did it. Fortunately we stayed there for only one night.

I arrived on a Saturday in early August in the evening. The neighbourhood was dead quiet. All the shops were closed. A bit eerie, but it's all good. The hotel is located between two subway stops. You can get to central Milan in about 7 minutes. It is also very close to the train station. It is in an area where there are many hotels. Cheap place to stay, but don't expect a modern or a fully-working bathroom. The shower plug was slow to drain. Grouting in the tiles were crumbling.

I didn't feel unsafe walking between the two, but it isn't the best neighborhood either. The price was so good (45 Euro) that I opted for this instead of the La Cordata hostel.

Ok hotel compared for price. Some noise from traffic and construction work near by. Close to train station that was important for us.

There were problems with hot water and the hotel did not offer a solution. The bathroom had not been cleaned when we checked in and nothing happened when we told the receptionist. Internet was extremely expensive and no channels in English at all. The competence of the employees left quite to be desired. A fully non-advisable place to stay if one is looking for quality.

With poor noisy rooms and old furnitures in a bad-looking style, this hotel got a six as comparing with the good rates it is a reasonable place especially for business travellers. PAY ATTENTION AT THE MINIBAR PRICE LIST IN THE ROOM AS IT IS NOT UPDATED!

Everything said in the reviews is true. Someone was taking things from the bar fridge when we were out. Complained to the receptionist Rosa on the first and second days but on the 3rd day we were charged for items that we did not take. Massimo at reception even had the cheek to offer to pay for the items. even charged us for hot water on the 3rd day although it was free on day 1 and 2. overall staff are not polite nor customer oriented. Haven't seen such rude staff anywhere. Not returning even if it is the last available hotel in Milan.

Really central position, 5 minutes far walking from Milano Central Station and the tube, that was my priority because I had to leave the hotel during the night to go to the airport by bus. The bedroom was big and clean, and the bathroom too. Good relation between price/quality!

€50 probably only buys a clean bed and a shower, heating on 31 Oct would have been welcome - and it is worth saving on the hotel breakfast and take it at a cafe down the street

worst Venere hotel we have stayed in. Dirty rooms, small and very shabby. Some of staff extremely rude and unhelpful, dirty, old bathroom/shower. Will never stay here again - cannot recommend to anyone. 4 guests all felt the same. Very poor quality and dreadful value for money. Venere should not have this hotel on their books.

We found bed bugs in our bed during our stay and then I found out I got mites under my skin from them. It was not a pleasant experience at all and I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel was in the correct location and rooms were clean, and comfortable. Problems at check-out. I was charged for waters I never drank, and overheard another person complaining about the same thing. Either the staff is drinking them, or they are dishonest, and charging for something patrons never receive. I am staying with the hotel again, and hope this was a one time issue. Otherwise a good value for the money.
