I had a very bad experience on my first night. I reached the Hotel in the evening from the airport. I was sure that the room has been organised and inspected for a guest to feel comfortable. The room was freezing for the whole night. I couldn't sleep for the first night. I didn't want to disturb the staff as I thought things will change any time. It didn't change at all. In the morning, I reported that to the reception and they agreed to check on that. When I came back around 4pm, instead of having a warm temperature, but it was on air conditioned.I then remembered that that is the noise I have been hearing for the whole night. Then I went back to tell them. This is my next day, unfortunately it was after 5pm which was still early to discuss and find a solution. I was so exhausted and I needed a sleep on that day. At least I can sleep for one night out of my 2 stays. I was coming back form my meeting which I attended without any sleep for the previous night. Then I was offered a portable heater which I agreed to have and I really had a good sleep that night which was my last stay. The normal heating was working as well. There wasn't any problem with it at all. That means, the problem wasn't the heating instead it was the customer service. An inspection in all the rooms is needed before the guests got in. Otherwise, the hotel services was excellent. The staffs were very kind and helpful and I was going to enjoy my stay more if this heating incidence didn't happen. I would advice people to use the hotel. But, I hope this problem doesn't happen to anyone else. Thanks

The hotel is located at the strategic place and close to the Milano Centrale station. It is an old hotel but it is very clean. The only problem is with the lift. It is a very old lift, very noisy and I felt not really secure when taking the lift. I was so worry that I will be stucked at the lift if suddenly it is broken. My room at 5th floor is located just beside the lift so i could hear the lift noisy sound even in the middle of the night. The toilet is quite big but the shower area is very small. Other things were OK.

We stayed for 5 days in Milan. The hotel is very central but the room though spacious for 3 people showed definite signs of wear. The bathroom fittings were all tarnished, the shower door came apart if not handled very carefully, the hair dryer was held together with duct tape. In order to obtain a shower cap my wife and daughter had to ask reception. The cherry on the cake was the extra 45 euros we had to pay as the city of Milan is levying a 3 euros per person per night tax. This brought the total bill to over 700 euros which given the standard of the hotel was way to much.

Nice staff, very friendly. Decor quite dated though, didn't match the smart exterior/lobby. Good breakfast service, staff spoke much better English than I did Italian! Nice bar/lobby area; several TVs, wi-fi access (although this costs extra). Very close to Centrale station (train/metro/bus links), plenty of attractive restaurants/cafes nearby also. Lots of rooms, plenty of availability. Good cleaning service every day. A decent hotel which was somewhat blighted by the mosquitos, however..! I opened the wondow on my first day and was killing mosquitos in my room for the next 3. New bites every morning. Bar area with nice open roof garden; sadly also had the same wildlife. I have to say though; that it was late September and I didn't see fit to tell the staff whilst I stayed, so I have no idea whether they would have moved me to a different room or whatever. Also, the wi-fi didn't really work in my room. Only seemed to work in the lobby. There's an added fee ('city tax') per person, per night of 3 euros. I assume this is city-wide.

This hotel is cheap for a reason. We had a room on the 4 th floor which looks like pretty run down 1970s decor. The a/c unit was ancient and barely kept the room cool. A basic hotel in a handy location to milano centrale railway station.

Everything would have been nice, but at the evening cigaret smoke started to come into our hotel room from the bathroom ventilation system. We had to close the door and had no chance to take the bath. As our child was already sleeping in the bed, we did not want to wake him and move either. Everything else was quite ok, no complaints. But this cigaret smoke really did it. Fortunately we stayed there for only one night.

I arrived on a Saturday in early August in the evening. The neighbourhood was dead quiet. All the shops were closed. A bit eerie, but it's all good. The hotel is located between two subway stops. You can get to central Milan in about 7 minutes. It is also very close to the train station. It is in an area where there are many hotels. Cheap place to stay, but don't expect a modern or a fully-working bathroom. The shower plug was slow to drain. Grouting in the tiles were crumbling.

They charge for everything on the top- like WiFi which was 3EU for 30 min. En-suit bar is terribly overpriced - 4 EU for 0.33 can of coca (huh???). For comparison, it was 2 EU in another Milan hotel a week later.

This was my first stay here. The room was tiny, but very clean and suitable for a couple of nights stay. It's a 10 minute walk from Stazione Centrale. I didn't feel unsafe walking between the two, but it isn't the best neighborhood either. The price was so good (45 Euro) that I opted for this instead of the La Cordata hostel. The Internet access price is outrageous: 20 cent per minute.

I have stayed in this hotel several times and this was my last... the room I was given was totally unacceptable... there was no way to use the toliet unless you stood up... and to get into the shower you needed to climb over the toliet... the room was musty and stale smelling... it took nearly the entire night to have the fan bring in any fresh air... no effort was made to give me a better room... even after I had to go down to the front desk after finding (after my shower) that there were no bath towels in the room (I had to dry with a hand towel)... the breakfast was meager and unappealingly presented...as I stated... this will be last night at the Delle Nazioni

5 min. from the station on foot. I've stayed here many times before. The hotel is a bit old now, but the rooms are ok. I paid 52 Euros for a single (no breakfast included) This is a good price for Milan. But as usual, prices can reach the sky when there are fairs in the city. I always check Venere.com when I want to go to Milan. And you'd be surprised to see that it's not always the same hotels which are the cheapest.

€50 probably only buys a clean bed and a shower, heating on 31 Oct would have been welcome - and it is worth saving on the hotel breakfast and take it at a cafe down the street

worst Venere hotel we have stayed in. Dirty rooms, small and very shabby. Some of staff extremely rude and unhelpful, dirty, old bathroom/shower. Will never stay here again - cannot recommend to anyone. 4 guests all felt the same. Very poor quality and dreadful value for money. Venere should not have this hotel on their books.

We found bed bugs in our bed during our stay and then I found out I got mites under my skin from them. It was not a pleasant experience at all and I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel was in the correct location and rooms were clean, and comfortable. Problems at check-out. I was charged for waters I never drank, and overheard another person complaining about the same thing. Either the staff is drinking them, or they are dishonest, and charging for something patrons never receive. I am staying with the hotel again, and hope this was a one time issue. Otherwise a good value for the money.

At the reception they are just wonderful people. But the maids are terrible. Someone wore my night cream once, leaving it dirty, and when I complained, they made a "little revenge" and said I consumed from the mini-bar, wich was a total lie! They make a lot of noise during the morning, until 8:30 at least, speaking loud, grabing their things for cleaning and talking loudly on the cell phone ALL THE TIME. You just can't sleep and have to get out from the room at 8h30 or else you go crazy. It was a very nice hotel to stay considering the surroundings, close to markets, stores, metro and central station, but the maids made my staying a hell. The sheets had holes and the towels had hair that wasn't mine for about 3 times. I stayed for about 10 days before I went to Genova and a couple more after a week and I came back for 2 razons: I could not find another room anywhere else in that area as cheap as that and because the receptionists. As I said, they are GREAT!

The Hotel looks quite well in the Hall. But staffs are quite unwelcome. The room has air condition. But it is not only noisy but it could not make the room cool. we felt hot and at last we decide to open the window. The furniture are too old so it need to be changed. Shower performance need to be repaired. Surrounding is very bad, we found that a man follow us about two blocks until we get in the hotel. We found many women stand by hotels who may provide sex service. The price is low, but remember do not dial any telephone. we make a 15 minutes call to Milan cell phone(the Hotel is in Milan), but it cost me 30 Euro. The staff confirm the Milan 15 minutes call but still insist that we should pay according to the bill. Never the less, my credit card could use all over Italy except in this hotel. It is the worst hotel we stay in Italy, I will never back to this hotel if I go to Milan again.
